I am 54 years old and I have suffered from visual impairment since birth, and some of the most wonderful innovations that have occurred during my lifetime is pinch zoom, voice navigation and assistance, and those Periscope zoom cameras. When it comes to periscope zooming camera technology, it would be a gift to society if they could make AR, or smart glasses that could zoom in like their smartphones do.
That would be awesome. I am sure it will happen.
Great video as always. However I find it a bit sad that there wasn't a commentary along with the different pictures, I think this what makes your comparison so great and accurate usually. It's difficult for us to analyze each shot and more importantly we don't know which one was the most accurate to the scene for example. I just hope it was a choice on this particular video and not a restriction from Oppo... Keep up the good work :D
Totally agree. For me wasn’t a great video just felt like a sponsored oppo video. No commentary on diff pics etc.

It's not a camera test if you're not saying anything about the photos at all.
As viewers we don't know how the scene looked or what's the quality of these photos taken from each smartphone. It's really difficult to examine from a video.
Next time when you do a camera test give your own opinion about the photos. And how they compare to the original scene. And try to give some real-time commentary too.
Normally I do this but then some complain about that too. Next one I will do commentary

Thanks for the great videos. All the cameras are great although I don't see that much difference with my Galaxy S21 Ultra. But i want want in the future a phone with ir blaster and better battery life. Which brand or phoneyou would recommend me?
IR blasters you would find on Xiaomi phones only most of the time. But MiUI tbh hasn't been that good in the recent couple of years as it used to be. So, recommending a Xiaomi phone is kinda tough. But if you are so keen on IR blaster, Xiaomi is the way to go.
for me x80 pro and 12s ultra are the best at this moment! s22u is solid, but in low light and dark rooms s22u is nowhere near both, and exposure in daylight 12s ultra is a bit inconsistent, but when hits the mark gets way better than s22u. 13PM is great, but overall i don't like, especially the colours, some times are just terrible.

Great with a lot of human subjects in the photos. This makes it very easy to see that the iPhone is very consistent and adds red tones to the skin color every time.
Mannn I just love how the Xiaomi 12S Ultra looks. It's 'different' in a way where most smartphones look too similar but the Xiaomi looks different enough.

Look how close all these competitors are in mobile photography technology. There are only few noticable differences between them in term of photo quality. I own a pocket camera. But I can't carry it everywhere. I mostly miss all the good stuff. I need all in one smartphone like experience to do everything. But all these smartphones are expensive. 🙂

Hey I totally understand. Since the video was sponsored by Oppo I didn't want to provide commentary because it would make things unfair. I provided the unedited images for people to see. I did not want to cross a line and it was MY idea to do this sponsored messaging in a camera video that would make it more fun to watch. I will more than likely cover these phones again in a way that is new to even the returning viewers since most people wanted the commentary.
I'm still waiting for a phone that takes my fancy over the oppo find x2 pro. Still has just about all of the latest features in phones these days. Some of these new phones are better in certain areas, but then miss out on things such as higher zoom range, or ability to switch between lenses during video. I guess the s22 ultra is probably the closest bet so far. Pixel 6 Pro wouldn't be too bad either.
Wait for Find X6 pro. It's expected to bring back the periscope zoom

Hello. I would very much like to see your honest opinion on these four flagships. The Aggresive Oppo sponsored content consumed all the time that should have been dedicated to talk about and really compare the flagships. Thanks.
Cameras are amazing these days. But to be honest, it was very disappointing to see both, Oppo and Xiaomi, even messing up with white balance so often compared to Samsung and Apple.
Do an actual comparison video like you normally do.
The oppo had slightly worse dynamic range. I would want to see very challenging situations like almost pitch dark night both in photos and videos and see who does it better to see if any new phone 2022 can match up to the huawei p40 pro plus 2019 in pitch darkness, that phone could bright up a room that you litterally couldn't see anything what kind of tech did huawei use for that , i dont get why nobody can do that in 2022.

Oppo has better DR and colors. But still lacks in video.
Oppo Find X5 Pro has too many options for shooting Videos & Photos , but it all depends of the Users , some really knows how to use it , but others don't.

I find the Find X5 Pro very good, pleasing to the eye with how it handles exposure, colors, contrast and so on. In some areas is not great but still good! But I have a question for iPhone owners - How well does it work with Google apps - Maps, Gmail, Drive, Home, Keep, and so on, without the underlaying integration that's on Android?
All the Google apps works better in iphone than android. I even wonder the Gboard have some extra customization option in ios which isn't available in android.

Next time do a blind test type thing. Hide the names. Keep the position the same. Just put the names at the end, after showing all the samples. We have got a lot of fan boys around us, almost 80% would choose Samsung S22U or 13 pro max just because the name "Samsung S22 Ultra" or "iPhone 13 pro Max" is there.
I would do that but people will just ruin it in the comments too. Impossible to win when doing camera comparisons for everybody. Someone will want me to do it another way every time.

I like how Oppo can expose pictures, clear, bright, and detailed. But I prefer Xiaomi in the video. Oppo actually lost HDR in the video, it blows out the images in the video as in the case of the little boy that is dancing why the guys are beating the drum

Nah. Apple is just the king in Videos. It's cameras aren't that great in retaining details nor in maintaining the exposure.

I feel, Android is getting better in their quality. their camera and video quality is much better and even beats the iPhone 13. Android has changed
