Xiaomi in-terms of hardware and innovations is on top absolutely but the software is holding them back compare to Apple's iOS super optimized buttery smooth rarely lags or even stutter.

I watched a lot of comparisons with regard to battery, iPhone 13 pro max with a much smaller battery capacity vs android phones with a larger battery capacity being trashed by iPhone 13 pro max, meaning a more optimized OS is playing a big role aside from SoC, thermals, and battery capacity.
And i have been a xiaomi user ever since i started using a smartphone from mi max 1 redmi note 4x note 5 plus note 5 Ai and redmi note 10S. i just can't afford the iPhones because of the price
iPhone 13 Pro Max is a Gold Standard. Xiaomi is improving day by day, but the day it reaches iPhone 13 Pro Max Speed, Apple will announce the iPhone 14 Pro Max.. lol.
the fact is Apple is racing Qualcomm and Mediatek chipset and not the androids lol
well it won't really matter much since iphone 14 lineup is getting a very small upgrade in performance department. the base iphone 14 and 14 max are actually getting last the same chip from 13 series. in android world, however, flagships will be getting a huge upgrade from 8 gen 2 but the real deal is ufs 4.0. both sd and apple chips are way more than enough to open apps. the difference usually comes from storage speed. this is also a huge reason why apple performs so much better in rendering. it's actually affected more by storage speed rather than soc. given that ufs 4.0 is about 2.5 times faster than ufs 3.1, androids will close the gap with iphones to a very narrow margin well within the margin of error.

The speed test is obvious it is not a real performance test so not much can be taken out of it. The iPhone is faster in the performance department like video rendering, the word file processing etc. Also the performance increase of Sd8+G1 is amazing in the CPU area. It is more like a generational improvement over the non +. It now matches the A14 in performance which is great. SD is coming close to Apple for sure. No longer 2 generations behind!

Bad comparison, its like comparing a windows pc and a linux pc, both have different operating systems and both have different apps, also in this phone comparison case they have different soc, different screen, the xiaomi runs on wqhd+ while the apple runs on fhd+ , the iphone is more optimised while the xiaomi has only been out for less than a month, this is a very bad comparison, also I noticed the miui is not the latest (in the beginning of the video) so yeah xiaomi is different than it was day one software,
So for a fair comparison:
Update both phones for latest version
Lower xiaomi resolution to fhd+
Comparing apps is completely random in this case since both have different operating systems and apps are built different for them
Compare stuff that makes sense: iphone charges slower but lasts longer for example
In short bad comaprison
