Punk may not be dead... But today it's irrelevant... They should be raging more than ever today, but they aren't... Shit is so much worse today than it's ever been in my lifetime.
FUCK! I'm 34,... I was a teenager when I would frequent the punk shows in the Sacramento area ALL the time. I remember my sister was seeing a merch boy from an LA band who was playing with the Unseen in Sacramento. I remember him introducing me to Mark and he was so fuckin' cool, signed my ticket stub and today, you wouldn't be able to tell I was once a HUGE punk fan but I still remember that night, it was a big deal to me for whatever reason.
I'm from Austin, Texas, and I bought my first Unseen album in Chicagoin 2003. It was "Complete Singles: Collection 1994-2000." The first time I saw The Unseen live was later that same year in Tulsa when they opened for Dropkick Murphys. It was a life-changing experience, to say the least! Since then, The Unseen have been my absolute favorite live band. Unfortunately, their newer Hellcat stuff is over-produced and terrible. Sadly, I've lost my respect as they've lost their quality.
@Punk69Freak haha it reminded me of robb zombies haunted world of el superbeasto, and plus i was thinking it too, cuz everyone knows sex pistols was a mid 70s band. lmao
I hate those who think just because something has a slight melody to a punk song doesn't automatically make it pop. Shut the fuck up and enjoy the song...
@RICHYrichMEOW Oh yeah, omg, this song is so cool because it was in Tony Hawk. That's where I like to find all my punk music. Sorry dude, I just hate seeing comments like that under so many songs.
I like all their stuff really but I totally understand when I hear people say this isn't their cup of tea. I just saw them play last night and this song was definitely not played so that just goes to show it probably didn't resonate with fans of their earlier stuff. He still has Dem pipes though man
@wcjiggy the ramones started in 74and pistols 76 pistols and everyone in london worshipped the ramones when they came out and everyone copied the pistols style because it was wilder in terms of clothing jus for the record
check em out walking over the mass pike bridge in allston... haha. filming outside the sound museum too --- ugh, they've sucked ever since paul stopped writing songs for them. poor guys.
All these arguements over what is punk and what is not punk! What are you other than partakers and players? It's the bareness of rock n' roll with the DNA of Chuck Berry, Elvis, Iggy Pop Alice Cooper and others who have faded from the memories of many and those will never enter the vision of most. Drop the arguements and enjoy what you still have. Otherwise you'll just end up in a pissing contest that counts for nothing on the internet instead of enjoying it as it should be.
@Punk69Freak fuckin a man, if you havent his animated movie the haunted world of el super beasto, you really really should man, greatest movie ever hahha

I wish I could go see these guys live, I live near Boston, but I'd be killed if I showed up at a Punk Show.
Boston doesn't fuck around when it comes to punk my man 🤘🏻
Why? 12 years later answer me!! 😅

This reminds me of Unshackled, a wicked cool street punk from El paso.

They kinda lost something for a few years, then they put Mark Unseen on vocals and started to sound better.
don't normally like this kind of slightly "poppy" punk but this is a pretty good tune
if you wane hear there punk rock songs check out there album lower class crucifixion
lower class crucifixion and so this is freedom are their best albums imo
happy this aint poppy
Its all in the delivery. everyone gets turned off at the first sign of melody, but this is still a genuine punk rock song
I hate those who think just because something has a slight melody to a punk song doesn't automatically make it pop. Shut the fuck up and enjoy the song...
If you're a bass player, you're gonna notice something is missing completely in the video... lol
@RICHYrichMEOW Oh yeah, omg, this song is so cool because it was in Tony Hawk. That's where I like to find all my punk music. Sorry dude, I just hate seeing comments like that under so many songs.
This is what cool people do.
I liked the first few 7" releases and the first couple of albums. This later stuff isn't my thing.
I like all their stuff really but I totally understand when I hear people say this isn't their cup of tea. I just saw them play last night and this song was definitely not played so that just goes to show it probably didn't resonate with fans of their earlier stuff. He still has Dem pipes though man
they're good at punk rock :)
Master Shake! : 24
I LIKE TO VIEW THE UNSEEN.
👍🏻
