Jason White is certainly a pioneer in contemporary gospel piano playing! Jason White - piano, Mike Bereal - organ, and the Neuble brothers on bass/drums was the credits for a lot of great gospel records (e.g. Judith Mcallister, Norman Hutchins, etc)
Jason was the best they ever had at West Angeles COGIC for 20+ years!...no one they have had since, has been more talented and more dedicated! A major mistake for Bishop Blake to have let him go...

Jason White was the 90's power with West Angeles but in fact really before Jason there was Tony Wilkins who was the 80's power from the Saints in Praise West Angeles albums of 1989, along with Patrick Henderson who was a notable in the 80's as well. Tony did West Angeles and LA Mass Choir albums that really pioneered the West Coast gospel sound and paved the way for Jason White in the 90's with Judy and Norman. Some people don't recognize West Angeles history prior to Jason White. Jason White was very much so a pioneer but not the original pioneer that Tony Wilkins was in West Angeles music history. Tony Wilkins was the 90's power with Church of the Harvest as well while Jason emerged as the 90's power with West Angeles. True History!!!
