Hey ma’am big question i’ve been with navy fed since i was 16 i’m 19 now but i started my credit like 3 months ago do you think since my credit score is 670 i could get approved or would i need more credit history?
Yes if you pay it in full and the account is closed. Remember your credit score is made up of your credit mix. When you remove a line of credit it reduces your mix and will hurt your credit score.
So, After watching your video I think I messed up… I applied to NFCU for a $20k loan not even thinking they would preapprove it. I have a mid size suv that I still owe $16,885 and it’s financed thru another third party entity. I guess I can’t change the amount now since it’s a pre-approval right? NFCU also asked about my vehicle I have now & how much I pay monthly. I really don’t want to go back to the same dealership to trade it in because of how they did me initially so what do I do?
I recently called Navy Fed and asked about a consolidation loan. They told me it would have to be over the phone. Can I apply for a credit card in the same phone call ?
@@garyshaw8449 What i said makes perfect sense because thats litterally what happens. If you get a preapproval auto loan check from NFCU you have 90 days to use it on a car. Invest that 20 grand. Just get the loan amount through navy fed that you can afford. Use that 20 grand into something that can net passive income instead of a depreciating asset. Hell, you can buy a running business with that 20k as the down payment or a property to rent. Do your research.

Never put that much down on a car. You could leave the lot and something unforeseen could happen to the car. Then you’ve wasted 20k!!! Not a smart money love
dude just go get the fucking truck.. I sell cars, 765 gets you a good rate, and you’ll get approved by anybody, especially for 38 grand. Put down $2000, not $20000. You want to have an auto loan on your report, it will help you not hurt you. If you can afford 20k savings in 2 years, you can afford a 38k truck. Let’s say you put down 2-3k, 35k auto loan, 6% apr, 550-570 a month. Which is an affordable car note in 2024.

You had mw till the end. How is not turning in the title to the credit union and turing it into a secured personal loan loan fraud? There's nothing fraudulent about turning a loan into a personal loan
Because when you apply for an auto loan you agree to its terms and conditions that you will use towards a car
