i was just thinkin how to attach my interface safely to my desk since i dropped it accidently recently and that velcro build u got going there is a great idea
@sleepylivyyy depends on the output of your amp. If you have headphone output from your amp, it'll work. If you use speaker out and connect it to your computer, you're gonna blow your computer right away.
I have a line 6 Mobile POD, it hooks up to an iPhone with a lightning cable and you can use garage band or the line 6 app. Mixing and recording in general kinda sucks and I’m not a fan of it, but it was $50 and the Walmart computer speakers I hook it to are $15. It makes a great tiny travel amp that you can carry in your case.
interface not necessary, you can put a cheap chinesse spliter TRRS adapter into mic/headphones input or homemade adapter, cuz headphone input includes mic input at same time on laptop and android phones, on windows you need setup control panel, on android its plug and play no setup required, just install virtual amps or pedal fx as tonebridge, amplitube mobile, Deplike, GigBoard, Bandlab, N-Track Studio on android, greetings overthere from Mexico

Do you hear the direct guitar signal? If yes, sounds like you've set everything up correctly 👍 you will need some amp simulators (plugins) and probably some recording software. I use Reaper for recording. You can use whatever you want, you will just need to look up how to do if for your specific recording software. As for amp sims, I have a video on my top FREE ones if you are interested. Good luck
How can I do this if I have a physical amp? I usually play with a Spark Go, which only has entrances for a 3.5mm headphone cable and a 1/4’ guitar cable. Do I connect the guitar to the amp normally, then connect 3.5mm cable into the Focusrite 1/4 using an adapter?
Usually you'd would connect to a computer or an amp, not both. If you are trying to capture the sound of the spark on the computer, then you would have go from the headphone out on the Spark to an input of the Focuseite (I think).
Sir, pls make a video on how to get outputs from different speakers running by multiple amplifiers from a same PC at the same time(at once)? Pls help !!
All depends on your interface. If you have 2 outs, then you have 2 outs. Want more? Get a bigger interface with more than two outs and send whatever you want to the outs
Question, I have a behringer u-phoria um2 and when I record it sound REALLY BAD. But I also am just using the audio recorder that comes on my laptop. Is the interface the problem or do I need to use something like reaper?
Could be a lot of different things. Mic could be bad. Gain too hot. Bad cable. Try to eliminate one thing at a time to determine what the issue is. If you think it is your software, try Reaper. If the problem still exists, it is probably something else. Hard to diagnose here
You can. You will need to adjust uour levels on everything. I dont know how to explain it best in the comments, but the output from a guitar is different than the output of the interface. Start silent and quietly work your way up
My behringer audio interface has way too much gain with my guitar (stratocaster with seymour duncan invader) even with gain set to 0. I simply can’t get a perfectly clean tone like with my amp. Any tips?
Really? That is surprising. I am not sure. It that a super high output pickup? Maybe it's not meant to get super clean then. I wonder if you could run some kind of pad in front of it 🤔 some DI boxes have pads on them to drop high level inputs down by like 10 or 15 db. Good luck 👍
@@stevenkambach Yeah, it’s a super high output pickup. It’s really annoying, though. I have to use the treble bleed circuit on my guitar and then really up the headphones volume to be able to use clean tones.
Headphones out of the interface. The interface becomes the sound card. There will always be latency with anything digital and it depends on a lot of things. If you have a half decent computer the Latency will not be noticeable.
You can output to whatever. A guitar output and an interface output are different (mic vs line level i think). You will probably have to make some adjustments if you are going from interface out to an amp's input
If you want to use a computer setup as an amp you will need to go out the interface to the PA, the effects return of a guitar amp, or into a powered speaker. Hope that helps!
@@stevenkambachSorry, can you explain it better? Since I'm basically new to electric guitar I don't want to spend money on an amp so I was searching for a way to connect the guitar to the PC, and use it as an amp via a software (but I don't know which software)
I am going to reply to what I think you are asking. You can use the amp sim on the computer as a preamp. You can go put from the interface to a PA, or out from the interface to a power amp / fx return (just don't have an IR loaded) on a guitar amp. That will bypass the guitar amp's preamp and go right to the power and speaker section. Just keep your interface level down cause the output it probably at a line level which is a bit hotter than your guitars signal
It is a good idea! I have one on standby. This interface only has one mic input and I was using that for a mic but I am switching things up at the moment
can you do that with a bluetooth gaming headset ? i connected everything and reaper is picking up the sound but i cant find a way to hear it myself :( cant pick my headphones in the asio driver
You have to adjust some settings in your DAW typically. Search for how to do it with your specific DAW. Less buffer size = less latency. I get no noticeable latency running at like 64 buffers
Can you please help me with one thing,am also doing in the same way how you have told, reaper is detecting my guitar sound, also i have chosen the output from my amplifier but now matter what i do, whenever am adding an external plugin in reaper(amped roots am using). But no effects are being applied to my guitar sound, the normal acoustic sound is coming,no effects are applied not at all!
I will take a stab at it! I am not tech support tho. Can you hear everything else in Reaper come through your amp? If yes, I would make sure the fxs are going on the correct track. They need to be on the effects channel of the track that is armed with your guitar. You need to make sure you are live monitoring that track too so you can hear what you are playing, not just the playback. If you do NOT hear everything else from Reaper in your amp, then maybe you have a direct monitor button pushed on your interface. That would send whatever is plugged in (the guitar in this case) and send it straight to the outputs for monitoring completely bypassing your computer. That feature is ok for vocals, but not for guitar. Good luck 👍
Reaper has one built in I think, but I use all 3rd party amp sims. Look up Neural Amp Modeler, Tonex Demo, Amplitude 5 demo, Neurontube, and ML Sound Lab Roots Demo. Those are all free
