She doesn't need an exo boots equivalent - cleanse on a shorter cooldown meaning it can practically be spammed without any counter play (bap, you can destroy the immortality field and it doesn't cleanse). - swift step also has a short cooldown. Which makes her a Moira that basically offers more utility with a slightly lower healing output - low skill floor. You can get almost max value out of her without being that competent - auto aim heals - smaller hit box - she basically has 2 invulnerability abilities. Eg. Get pulsed? Tp out. Get Emp'd? Cleanse. Bap: get pulsed? Immortality, but health is still low. Emp'd? Death...
Although this is true, it does make them very niche, and one tricking them in all games hurts the team way more than anyone would think. Especially if you’re not better than all the players in the lobby. So stop throwing games and swap off in competitive.

I agree with most of these statements, But Ramattra is not a loser. He’s one of the most consistent heroes in the game, and his value is insane depending on how efficient the player is using Ram. The only reason he feels outclassed is because of Good Ol’ M.R.O (Mauga, Roadhog, Orisa) which is with almost every other tank in the game.
Yeah I agree, definitely don't think he should be on this list. The things like Ana sleep/Orisa Javelin are the same old same old, if the player is smart enough, they'll bait or even wait out the cooldowns. imo, he wouldn't be picked as much because it's Mauga meta since Hog just got nuked and Orisa is still definitely a pick of all time
I disagree with the lifeweaver takes, I have about 120 hours on lifeweaver and just about 1000 games. Lifeweaver is very good at playmaking because his utility mainly helps with DPS, You pad them and they have highground, you use your beefy health to get to the enemy backlines and pull a gengi for a blade or a rien for a shatter, He has so much playmaking ability and can save teams from ults that could snowball into a team kill, and considering that he practically never dies it's easy to get your cooldowns including your ult which you get after about 1500 healing. In general he's very good at playmaking with your team, he's good at keeping squishys alive and healing multiple people because his pull also heals, and if you play close to your tank your pull acts as a burst heal instead of displacement.
My problem isn’t so much the character itself, but most people even up to my masters games not having any idea how to actually play the hero. They just exist. They’re there for the enemy tracer to flank and insta kill. It’s frustrating lol. A good LW is a pain in the ass to play against, and a joy to play with, but unfortunately it’s 1/100 games for me lmfao

I was struggling on support for the last few seasons. Last season I decided to play only lifeweaver and after 50 hours had a 59% win rate. Helped me actually climb some ranks. Lifeweaver has great survivability and when used correctly is actually a great determining factor for team fights.
What rank? I I have over 500 games weaver and I’m plat 2 52 winrate. Meanwhile my other account is masters 3 Kiriko that I’ve invested 1/10th of the time into. Kiri is better healbot, Suzu>grip, better ult, better offense, comparable survivability if CDs used well, etc. the only thing weaver is better than Kiri at is breaking a rein shield lol
Lifeweaver is my favorite character at the moment, but yeah I agree. LW's impact is so low and it is really an innate part of the character. At the bare minimum he needs more ability to deal damage consistently, similar to Kiriko. The 2x weapon swap speed by Eskay is a good step in this direction, but I think the issue is really with how long it takes to charge the heals. I think that they need to have the heal charge up while you are doing damage so that you are not penalized for swaping to do some damage.
If any dev is reading: no Hanzo rework pls, just give him his one shot back with some damage falloff and reduced arrow hitbox I personally think every fps needs a couple of true “snipers” with different playstyles
Also some of us spent years mastering those projectile hs flicks, Hanzo’s main strength, and it is a shame to feel we’ve wasted all that time for absolutely nothing
Scatter arrows were far to inconsistent and when they did hit it was a *cough* ONESHOT *cough*, they removed them for a reason. I'm hoping that they care enough for a full rework.

I've been playing since Day 1 of Overwatch 1. I've played at least a little (usually more) about every single day. Right now is the least I've ever been interested in OW.
Since Lifeweaver was released, everybody hated him. He is literally my main healer next to Moira 😂 I know when to pull, heal and damage (next to never because someone always needs healing lol. Better thing with Moira). I always have the most healing, always try to keep my team, but watching videos like this makes me upset because it happens every season not just this season. Reinhardt however... nah, I'm just different and win the majority of my games 😂😂
This Kiriko change does borderline nothing. Swift step will always be off CD to bail you out because you didn't SS INTO the off angle to begin with; by the time you set up another flank/off angle, it will be off CD again. Not being able to suzu earthshatter is only important if he's close up and he gets off the earthshatter damage. If you suzu your tank before shatter connects, shatter wont go off; suzu can't *cleanse* the knockdown, but it can still *prevent* the knockdown. If a brig bashes into rein/doom/another brig, it wont matter unless there is follow up from the enemy team (ie. Anti, Hack/EMP, any aggressive cd's really) BUT those can still be suzu'd!!! This patch literally changes nothing for her. This nerf feels like a parent taking away a random toy from a child, but the child literally didn't even know they had it.
What he didn't mention is that LW is great for putting a Mcree, bastion, or similar low movement DPS heros into key positions they cant typically get to with his spring petal. Also, LW is very good at pulling people INTO fights. Especially if they got picked early and need to get yanked from spawn; or someone like the tank is to busy screwing with a random tracer, so you pull them back into play

how would you fix hanzo? i just tought of replacing sonic arrow with something like "hunting arrow": lower charge up time, higher dmg (either direct or via a dot) or "explosive arrow": normal dmg, (maybe a slightly bigger hitbox?,) and the arrow exploed after a couple seconds you could give him multiple arrow of these just like storm arrow
They overdid nerfing one shots. Having one shots is fine IF they can’t perpetually do them with no real downtime and across the map. Widow and Hanzo need to one shot out to at least 50m, maybe 60m. Give them both headshots BUT like any other FPS limit how long they can hold a charged shot before repeating. 600 plus hours on Mei thanks to all the nerfs I finally quit, there just was no point.
I’ve mained lw since release. He was good awful at first but fun. Fastward this season I have 12 hours in gm4, 72 win rate. He is a decent characters his kit is just healing but largely cancelling ults and saving all the lives you can with your kit. You can cancel or save your team from most ults and abilities. Youre just playing chess while in perfect position, he’s a trump card in the right hands, but even then, it takes too long to get good with him I would say.

People have been comparing Hanzo to hitscan since the game was released. I get it from a team comp perspective, but from the player's perspective it's a false equivalency; Hanzo is fun because he's a projectile hero so hitting shots feels satisfying. Playing hitscan is not interesting or fun or satisfying to play in any way. It's outdated gaming tech from the 1900's, let it die.

That is range 25 m away is not range. 15 m away is not range what accurate player is that good with Hanzo to be getting consistent accuracy from range also, if Widowmaker is a one shot character and she’s apparently in your own words out classing Hanzo from range then that can be considered one of the answers to Hanzo if he’s supposedly picking people off from actual range
And then you go ahead and list off the reasons why the one shot should’ve stayed. He’s very inaccurate, which means if you did get headshot chances are you were out of position and or standing still and or I’m moving in a predictable pattern which deserves to be punished, he’s weak to dive extremely weak to dive, so if you’re getting headshot just become a literally dive character, and you automatically have the advantage and lastly, he doesn’t have much neutral value in between his shots which are very predictable. You’ve just listed off three things that are blatant blurring the weaknesses, and why he needs to still have a shot.

I play dva, kiri, mercy and brig. Kiri is quite good still but playing support in general doesn’t feel fun. I’ll probably just not play much this season anyway. Ever since dps passive got introduced ow2 hasn’t been fun to play for me.
Lol the Mei "nerf" was actually a buff if you could already hit her icicles before. When they increased her projectile sized it made hitting head shots harder. Sometimes you'd be aiming at the head and it would register as a body shot, so nice. You made her projectile the correct size and it does more dmg, still can't one tap a tracer like it should but I'll take what I can get.

Kiri isnt a loser. As usual she has a slap on the wrist. No one plays rein longer than 2 deaths so who cares about the sharter cleanse nerf. Hog and mauga is still spammed. So her cleanse is useful for ana. Doom is still spammed. Shes good with doom. I do feel the 1 second to nerf. But its not enough to ruin a game. Ultimate is still broken. Abilities still broken. Heals and dmg still high.
Ram & Mauga r two characters that r fine the way they r rn. No hate just if u really think about it we don’t need a blocking ulting ram every match or Mauga every game. Them being ight on some maps or must picks on sun maps is better then seeing them as meta every other character needs a tweak on this list tho

The community changes to Rein need to be made standard. The 30% speed boost when low on shield or hitting a fire strike allow him so much more flexibility.
Give Hanzo back his ability to keep his bow drawn while climbing walls and give him a wooden tower he can place (not even the width of his character model) to give him a tiny bit of cover but more importantly, get closer to flyers and high ground
I've seen a ton of Genjis this season due to the flashbang coming back. Cass was one of his biggest counters but Genji might have the advantage in 1v1s now.

Mei didn’t changed much. Her breakpoints are still there. Not being able to one tap tracer will always hold her back. Her breakpoints with tanks are also the same. Literally almost no change for Mei tbh.

9:58 another thing to point out is the higher you go up in ranked with (weak) characters is people know how to utilize the utility of heros like rein better. Playing as a team no matter the hero is what makes each character strong. For instance if you have a genji/hanzo combo it can be very strong or very weak if the genji overcommits at the start of the fight he may feel that hanzo isn't doing anything but hes only gotten like 4 arrows off at this point and landed 2 but if the genji had drew them in alittle but was aware of hanzo LOS type shit. It's a lot that goes into it and if you get teammates that are less aware certain characters aren't as good when it has nothing to do with the person actually using the character. That's why I use soldier until I get to masters
9:54 I just don’t do well with sniper type characters because I’m on console and my aim can never get accurate enough (plus playing on switch so I’ll forever be hard stuck gold 😅🫠🤦♂️), and even though Ana is “better”, I just do better with Sojourn. Granted, I’m all about mobility hero’s like Sojourn and Moira
So I understand the click bait necessity, but I genuinely hope newer players understand they should play A. the heroes they're working on maining and B. their main that lends best to the team comp, strategy, and map.
I feel like this should come with the tagline "At high levels". Because, realistically, this only matters at high ranks. In quick play or at lower ranks, literally every character is viable and no one is good enough to really care about nerfs.
To be honest, part of the challenge for me, and in that, the most fulfilling part is disecting a player in the game and finding their play patterns, then countering everything.

Fully agree all the changes did was add more skill expression considering you have to manage your swift step a bit better and time the suzu properly

I was struggling on support for the last few seasons. Last season I decided to play only lifeweaver and after 50 hours had a 59% win rate. Helped me actually climb some ranks. Lifeweaver has great survivability and when used correctly is actually a great determining factor for team fights.
What rank? I I have over 500 games weaver and I’m plat 2 52 winrate. Meanwhile my other account is masters 3 Kiriko that I’ve invested 1/10th of the time into. Kiri is better healbot, Suzu>grip, better ult, better offense, comparable survivability if CDs used well, etc. the only thing weaver is better than Kiri at is breaking a rein shield lol
Lifeweaver is my favorite character at the moment, but yeah I agree. LW's impact is so low and it is really an innate part of the character. At the bare minimum he needs more ability to deal damage consistently, similar to Kiriko. The 2x weapon swap speed by Eskay is a good step in this direction, but I think the issue is really with how long it takes to charge the heals. I think that they need to have the heal charge up while you are doing damage so that you are not penalized for swaping to do some damage.

I personally think every fps needs a couple of true “snipers” with different playstyles
Also some of us spent years mastering those projectile hs flicks, Hanzo’s main strength, and it is a shame to feel we’ve wasted all that time for absolutely nothing
Lowkey give hanzo scatter arrow, or some new arrow in his right click and he'd be fine
Scatter arrows were far to inconsistent and when they did hit it was a *cough* ONESHOT *cough*, they removed them for a reason. I'm hoping that they care enough for a full rework.

Scatter Arrow wouldn't be very useful with all the mobility in the game now. Just give him his one-shot back and he'll be fine.

Since Lifeweaver was released, everybody hated him. He is literally my main healer next to Moira 😂
I know when to pull, heal and damage (next to never because someone always needs healing lol. Better thing with Moira).
I always have the most healing, always try to keep my team, but watching videos like this makes me upset because it happens every season not just this season.

Maybe they could do something about the swiftstep cd but the suzu nerf needs to stay.
The Genji part hit so hard, sad to see him in such a state sigh.
This Kiriko change does borderline nothing. Swift step will always be off CD to bail you out because you didn't SS INTO the off angle to begin with; by the time you set up another flank/off angle, it will be off CD again.
Not being able to suzu earthshatter is only important if he's close up and he gets off the earthshatter damage. If you suzu your tank before shatter connects, shatter wont go off; suzu can't *cleanse* the knockdown, but it can still *prevent* the knockdown. If a brig bashes into rein/doom/another brig, it wont matter unless there is follow up from the enemy team (ie. Anti, Hack/EMP, any aggressive cd's really) BUT those can still be suzu'd!!! This patch literally changes nothing for her.
This nerf feels like a parent taking away a random toy from a child, but the child literally didn't even know they had it.
What he didn't mention is that LW is great for putting a Mcree, bastion, or similar low movement DPS heros into key positions they cant typically get to with his spring petal.
Also, LW is very good at pulling people INTO fights. Especially if they got picked early and need to get yanked from spawn; or someone like the tank is to busy screwing with a random tracer, so you pull them back into play

how would you fix hanzo?
i just tought of replacing sonic arrow with something like "hunting arrow": lower charge up time, higher dmg (either direct or via a dot)
or "explosive arrow": normal dmg, (maybe a slightly bigger hitbox?,) and the arrow exploed after a couple seconds
you could give him multiple arrow of these just like storm arrow
They overdid nerfing one shots. Having one shots is fine IF they can’t perpetually do them with no real downtime and across the map. Widow and Hanzo need to one shot out to at least 50m, maybe 60m. Give them both headshots BUT like any other FPS limit how long they can hold a charged shot before repeating. 600 plus hours on Mei thanks to all the nerfs I finally quit, there just was no point.
I’ve mained lw since release. He was good awful at first but fun. Fastward this season I have 12 hours in gm4, 72 win rate. He is a decent characters his kit is just healing but largely cancelling ults and saving all the lives you can with your kit. You can cancel or save your team from most ults and abilities. Youre just playing chess while in perfect position, he’s a trump card in the right hands, but even then, it takes too long to get good with him I would say.
Nah, im gonna stick with being a kiriko main lol there are many reasons why I love and enjoy her so much. 😊❤ and I'm sure others who play her or main her agrees why.
I will admit tho I noticed that "swift step" nerf.. >^< without seeing the patch notes this season. It felt weirdly noticeable but not to a bad degree more like how mercy guardian angelic movement was nerfed to 1second before that type of weird But kiriko still playable

People have been comparing Hanzo to hitscan since the game was released. I get it from a team comp perspective, but from the player's perspective it's a false equivalency; Hanzo is fun because he's a projectile hero so hitting shots feels satisfying. Playing hitscan is not interesting or fun or satisfying to play in any way. It's outdated gaming tech from the 1900's, let it die.

That is range 25 m away is not range. 15 m away is not range what accurate player is that good with Hanzo to be getting consistent accuracy from range also, if Widowmaker is a one shot character and she’s apparently in your own words out classing Hanzo from range then that can be considered one of the answers to Hanzo if he’s supposedly picking people off from actual range
And then you go ahead and list off the reasons why the one shot should’ve stayed. He’s very inaccurate, which means if you did get headshot chances are you were out of position and or standing still and or I’m moving in a predictable pattern which deserves to be punished, he’s weak to dive extremely weak to dive, so if you’re getting headshot just become a literally dive character, and you automatically have the advantage and lastly, he doesn’t have much neutral value in between his shots which are very predictable. You’ve just listed off three things that are blatant blurring the weaknesses, and why he needs to still have a shot.

1 mistake and I explote, but damn they are just so much fn fun and when you pop off it feels so rewarding specially cause its not luck like torb or junkrat that are spamming and get picks every now and then, everythung you do is calculated (for the most part) and if it works its feels oh just so nice.
I play dva, kiri, mercy and brig. Kiri is quite good still but playing support in general doesn’t feel fun. I’ll probably just not play much this season anyway. Ever since dps passive got introduced ow2 hasn’t been fun to play for me.
Lol the Mei "nerf" was actually a buff if you could already hit her icicles before. When they increased her projectile sized it made hitting head shots harder. Sometimes you'd be aiming at the head and it would register as a body shot, so nice. You made her projectile the correct size and it does more dmg, still can't one tap a tracer like it should but I'll take what I can get.

Hog and mauga is still spammed. So her cleanse is useful for ana.
Doom is still spammed. Shes good with doom.
I do feel the 1 second to nerf. But its not enough to ruin a game.
Ultimate is still broken. Abilities still broken. Heals and dmg still high.
Ram & Mauga r two characters that r fine the way they r rn. No hate just if u really think about it we don’t need a blocking ulting ram every match or Mauga every game. Them being ight on some maps or must picks on sun maps is better then seeing them as meta every other character needs a tweak on this list tho

The community changes to Rein need to be made standard. The 30% speed boost when low on shield or hitting a fire strike allow him so much more flexibility.
Give Hanzo back his ability to keep his bow drawn while climbing walls and give him a wooden tower he can place (not even the width of his character model) to give him a tiny bit of cover but more importantly, get closer to flyers and high ground
I've seen a ton of Genjis this season due to the flashbang coming back. Cass was one of his biggest counters but Genji might have the advantage in 1v1s now.
The only bad thing about one shits is they are annoying. Sombra, Bastion, Horse, and Ana are annoying but we aren’t removing them from the game
They should rework LW with a shield which is exolodes when destroyed.... rather than pulling.
And also give him better dmg

Mei didn’t changed much. Her breakpoints are still there. Not being able to one tap tracer will always hold her back. Her breakpoints with tanks are also the same. Literally almost no change for Mei tbh.

9:58 another thing to point out is the higher you go up in ranked with (weak) characters is people know how to utilize the utility of heros like rein better. Playing as a team no matter the hero is what makes each character strong. For instance if you have a genji/hanzo combo it can be very strong or very weak if the genji overcommits at the start of the fight he may feel that hanzo isn't doing anything but hes only gotten like 4 arrows off at this point and landed 2 but if the genji had drew them in alittle but was aware of hanzo LOS type shit. It's a lot that goes into it and if you get teammates that are less aware certain characters aren't as good when it has nothing to do with the person actually using the character. That's why I use soldier until I get to masters
I find the strong teammate stick with them and focus the weak link on the other team

9:54 I just don’t do well with sniper type characters because I’m on console and my aim can never get accurate enough (plus playing on switch so I’ll forever be hard stuck gold 😅🫠🤦♂️), and even though Ana is “better”, I just do better with Sojourn. Granted, I’m all about mobility hero’s like Sojourn and Moira

I feel like this should come with the tagline "At high levels". Because, realistically, this only matters at high ranks. In quick play or at lower ranks, literally every character is viable and no one is good enough to really care about nerfs.
To be honest, part of the challenge for me, and in that, the most fulfilling part is disecting a player in the game and finding their play patterns, then countering everything.
