*If you had to choose between a night away at either The Bear or The Crown & Anchor, which hotel would you choose to stay at?* 🤔🏨
I would't know as the video has nothing to do with that.
It's a relief to know it's closed . Should have listened to their friends
How long was it open?
Wow
As a design professional, I think about the last boutique hotel we did and am aghast and horrified at the lack of planning. I'm not sure I can watch this.
Their entitlement had me cringing... The husband complaining about regular panic attacks because things aren't on schedule due to his poor planning, and the wife comes across completely not bothered: "HE'S the one that looks at money. I'm just buying what I like 🤷♀️"
* And then at the end, dude sharing they're $1.6 million over budget and STILL needed to complete 67 rooms 😳💀
Update - looks like they are knocking it down for flats - from June 2022: Applicant Franco Anacreonte wants to demolish the Icon Hotel in Stuart Street, and replace it with an 18-storey building and six commercial units.
Perhaps he should have stuck to a business that he knew instead of thinking he could do something he had no experience in.
The velvety fabrics.... you can't properly clean them. The owner mentioned she doesn't look at the wallpaper but focuses on the bed and fabrics. If my hotel bed isn't mostly pure white and cotton I get worried, if I see velvety materials I leave immediately. Cotton can be washed and bleached and properly cleaned. I hate how so many of these hotels on these programs use bedding that looks like it was purchased at a Walmart or European equivalent. Fake silk with machine embroidery, velvety fabrics are always a sign of a mom and pop cheap hotel.
The worse thing that a hotel owner can do is to decorate a hotel room according to their own personal taste. You have to always think about what your potential customers would like🙁
I believe the wife is the worst thing that could happened to that hotel.
I get scared at the thought of walking through that underpass at night😟
The lady is obviously no slouch as she's a barrister and a mother at the same time but....she says she wants it to be THE place to go to in Luton when she needs to know there's no reason to go anywhere in Luton unless it's due to necessity.
What is it with women in these projects who want to oversee the design but have no idea what they're doing and no common sense when it comes to budget? That incongruent lounge area was hilarious, then we got to the room...oh my. It was dated even when this was recorded and didn't speak with the building's architecture.
I don't understand how she can threaten to sue if she changed her order at the last minute?
She’s a lawyer. That’s all they know, lol.
If he has been a property developer for 23 years....why doesn't he have connections with firms of carpenters & plumbers?
That’s a good one ! 😢
Lefe has got to be from Essex.
VERY ticky tacky. Anytime someone does deep red velvet with gold velvet and it isn't a historic restoration I get very worried.
incredible how you can spend so much on brand new furnishing and it still look so dated!
This Episode was chaotic and painful to watch. I do like Ruth Watsons Hotel Rescue, but maybe not this time...
The video ends without an end?
I would spend the night in another hotel. Why choose between two hotels I don't like?
That car park phone call was scripted 😂😂😂
“reality” tv is totally planned, mid not actually scripted , the participants are told how their reactions should go.
The hotel is closed.
I don’t give a monkeys whether my hotel furniture is solid or not. And that tacky velvet heavy stuff repulses me. Pristine white bedding that is obviously clean wins every time. And why are the rooms so small??!!!
Mad as hatters 🤪🤪
Knowing that the budget has overrun so badly, why are the still throwing money at bespoke‘luxury’ stuff? That woman has absolutely no taste whatsoever-thrones?? Really?
Capello on the menu means hair not hat which is spelled cappello.
Really tacky fabric choices. Yuk
I'm surprised by how tacky and dated the soft furnishings already look - and the place hasn't even opened yet! All that Bordeaux and gold would have looked dated in a '70s Novotel. Lefe has tastes more appropriate for decorating a nail-bar or a hair salon than a boutique hotel: crimson, cream, gold, plum, chocolate and burgundy. Thrones? Seriously?! First time visitors are more likely so say Oh, f**k! than Oh, wow!
More money than sense. Generational wealth quickly lost
From 700k to 2M to 4M😮😮😮 something is not right
It’s an airport hotel. Bed, shower, bedside table with lamp, internet, breakfast. Call it a day.
What ever happened to the hotel? I dislike these show they never tell you the end. The wife has zero style sense..
Yiks.
Hideous chairs
I wonder how many of that deluded defence attorney's clients are still in prison.
'Luxurious' repeated but you give them budget size rooms.... right.
tacky tacky tacky
The fact they admit they have no knowledge whatsoever about running a hotel tells me all I need to know about this programme. I can’t watch it.
Why they didnt start with small house turned into B&B ??? Burning money they are 😢
Hot mess from start to finish. Decor was tacky.
Ugh. Such hideous taste. Looked like a cheap curry house. But that delivery area looked like a dealbreaker.
I love seeing entitled people with money on this show... All that entitlement without a clue in the world.
