Empowering Caregivers through California’s IHSS Career Pathways Program

In September 2022, California launched an ambitious initiative that offers paid training opportunities to more than 650,000 homecare providers across the state. Known as the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Career Pathways program, the initiative focuses on building provider knowledge and skills to manage and increase the quality of care, promote meaningful communication, and improve care outcomes for IHSS and Waiver Personal Care Services (WPCS) recipients. This virtual session explored outcomes and lessons learned and featured a vibrant panel discussion about the future of IHSS Career Pathways.
