Merry Christmas to you, too! I can't choose a favorite either! It depends on the genre... and ad far as Fantasy and Sci-fi goes.... I just read so many really great ones in 2024! I can't wait for the 2025 releases of the next in a series or the finales!!! 💙📚🥰📖📚💙
The covers of the Mark Lawrence books are so damn beautiful. I really want to read Razorblade Tears next year based on your review. I also really need to jump into Jack Steen… And no surprise on the Stephen King lol! Great video man! Here’s to another year of wonderful reads!
@@OddOdieOnline Thanks, Odie! Yeah the Lawrence covers are awesome and I usually don’t give a damn about covers. Razorblade Tears is an exquisite read. I loved it. Pretty powerful book. The Jack Steen books are great as well. I’ve only got 3 more out of 8 left to read but I know Steen’s written other stuff I want to look into as well. I’m looking forward to this next year reading-wise indeed! Merry Christmas to you, sir!
I've heard of Lawrence, Cosby, Steen, and King (I've only read the later two), but the others are unknown to me. Some of their material sounds promising though. Thanks for the video, and have a nice weekend and a merry Christmas!
@@BryanM.R.-prionic1 Lawrence is a fantasy writer and this is my first series by him. And an exquisite one, at that. If you like crime fiction Cosby is definitely one to check out. As for the others you aren’t familiar with: Klune is a fantastic writer; excellent writer of friendships and finding families. Osman is a great mystery storyteller. This is my first year for him, too. Sonnet writes a lot of horror but I’ve discovered her writing is very clever. All terrific. You have a great weekend as well, sir, and have a safe and Merry Christmas!
This was great, Trav! I really enjoyed hearing your views on each of these authors. I really like Richard Osman too. I'm venturing into T.J. Klune now too. Merry Christmas, my friend.
@@BookChatWithPat8668 Thank you, Pat. This was my first year ever reading Osman. And I love TJ Klune’s works. Both excellent writers. They put out such wonderful stories that make me feel like taking on the world afterward! And a very Merry Christmas to you as well, ma’am!
Hey Trav - I was sent here by Kevin Towle Reads and I'm glad to have found your channel. :). The Book that Wouldn't Burn - I have been meaning to check out that author so I'm grateful you reminded me to add it to my ever-growing TBR list! :) Happy to become one of your newest subscribers! :) Merry Christmas to you and yours!
@@TedReadInstead Hi Ted! Thank you for joining me here and I have joined you likewise via Kevin! This Library Trilogy is my intro to Mark Lawrence and I am hooked now. Hope you get a chance to read some of his work soon. And a Merry Christmas to you and yours too!
I love novellas, so will give 'Kill Your Pumpkins' a go, sounds amazing. You are getting me so curious to get into thriller & mystery. I've made a start with horror, & I'm loving it so, WOW, what's next? Thanks for a stimulating video.
@@apoetreadstowrite I think Kill Yer Pumpkins is out of print at the moment but will be re-released under a better edit at some point, according to the author. Speaking of, I’ve discovered I love Judith Sonnet’s writing! She is actually very clever at storytelling! I enjoy the thrills I get from reading mysteries and horror.
Oh man I was so close to subscribing to your channel but when you didn't hold up all 6 book at a time I realized you just don't have what it takes... 😂 Kidding I'm subscribing. Not going to li those Richard Osman books are intriguing. Did you say they are like a cozy mystery? Man I hope so... I'm going to have to look these up. Ok well I told ya I was going to poke around... I guess I'm going to stick around now. Lol😂 lucky you!
@@FacelessBookReviews Well, hold up with that luck: I’m a channel that’s been promoted frequently by your arch nemesis, a certain fragile city slicker, so how good a channel could I be?? 😂😂 And yessir, the Richard Osman series is indeed cozy mystery. I have eaten this series up! I read the first 4 books this year and a 5th one is planned for later in 2025, and judging by how that 4th book left off I am chomping at the bit! It’s a great series.
@Travsbookshelf I was going to say your channel name sounds familiar but I didn't want to bring up his name that shall not be said. That guy gets under my skin. 😂 Yeah I just checked those books out. They really do look great!
@ And for the record, technically I could hold all 6 books up. But feats like that I’m saving when desperation hits as my subscriber numbers go down 😂😂
@Travsbookshelf smart man...very smart man... I've been toying with an idea to do a live stream of me walking across my frozen pond. Knowing that it isn't completely Frozen, I mean that's got to be worth a couple views right. 😂
