I'm thinking of making a suspension next, or maybe a better engine. I'm getting tired of all time lapses lol
Also just wanted to say that I know I could make the wheels thicker, but I don't know if I want to. I think the raggedy look adds to the overall sketchy aesthetic of the build.

Make a perfect submarine in Scrap Mechanic that can catch glow bugs
Perfect means: it must have a perfect neutral buoyancy (carpets seem to be the most neutrally buoyant block in the game, it just floats up slightly so maybe a carpet submarine (plus glass) with a few blocks that sink should do the trick), it must have pitch, yaw, and roll, and be able to travel through the deep ocean. Optional thing that would just add to the perfection: have the option to carry at least one crab (farmbots) and or defeat them in a fight

It's just I've seen other TH-camrs try to build a submarine in Scrap Mechanic (since there's finally water in Scrap Mechanic) but they never build a legit one, like for example put a floating platform on top of it that pushes it down or up, plus they don't have a purpose they just float around however by making it able to catch glow bugs and other stuff there's more to it than just swimming around

By breaking things down and explaining things, you really teach fundamental logic that you can apply in other games and in real life. (Also, the plow blocks have 0 friction. And ballasts attached to eachother are very hard to break. Just figured that might be useful knowledge.)

The wheel wouldn't skip if you made ackerman geometry. Basically all you have to do is make the tie-rod (steering arms) mount to the wheel hub further in towards the center of the car. It's also a good idea to keep them parallel instead of having them angled back so much.
Also, looking forward to the suspension episode for this car :P

If one wheel is slipping when you turn, you may need to design some kind of differential. Mercifully, differentials are pretty simple; the real challenge is to figure out how to connect the wheels to the differential (which is in turn connected to the drive shaft) in a way that allows them to steer left and right without mangling the axles or the drive shaft. For this, you need a constant-velocity joint. (This challenge is the reason many historical cars used rear-wheel drive, with the front steerable wheels being free-spinning; carrying power through an axle with a constantly-changing bend in the middle is a pain in the ass. But once you solve that problem, you can easily apply it to vertical movement of the wheels in addition to horizontal, making suspension a breeze.)

Next on the list: Disc brakes; rotors, calipers, and linkage. I don't think you'll be able to do hydraulic linkage, but you can definitely do wire linkage like on a bike or small motor scooter.
The calipers and linkage shouldn't be that hard, smooth surface block pistons and bore, with the linkage attached to a powered wheel or gear, pulling on a triangle mechanism to force it to straighten and thus push the piston. The piston will have a wood block attached to the end of the smooth surface block, and press into a wheel that is being used as a rotor.
It will work with the caliper pushing on one side, so long as it doesn't break, but it would ideally be doubled up on the calipers, so you can get friction on both sides when braking.
