    Your videos with these stencils opens up a new door to airbrushing for so many levels of airbrush enthusiasts new and more experienced. I have two questions. 1. When you did the horses, did you still use one color, shoot light, and build up layers to get darker? 2. In an earlier video, you mentioned you use transparent colors. While I am not brand new to airbrushing, I, so far, have not played with transparent colors much. I think you would do well to put out a video of reducing, mixing, and preparing transparent colors and how you achieve the effects that you do with them. Also, How you clean these particular stencils. I think it could be very popular and give new comers the confidence to want to buy more of these beautiful and elaborate stencils. Liking your facebook page too. Thank you for all you are doing.

    Nice job mate ! I'm just wondering to buy that product to protect the painted figure!!! Before applying the background stancil !! So where can I buy it and what is this clearcoat called????? Btw amazing job you have done

    • @HDStencils
      @HDStencils  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      thanks mate! I use intercoat clear to protect finished layers then final 2k clear coat to finish off the job. The intercoat clear is made by the paint manufacturer that you use. Createx calls it 2030

    How come tape don't damage the colour on the helm? Thanks

    • @HDStencils
      @HDStencils  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Slobodan Gligorijevic that’s because before taping I sprayed intercoat clear 4030.

    Thats really cool ... im just starting my first ever airbrushing project ..i want to just paint basic logos on my mini bars i make .. iv just purchased som a3 sized jack daniels stencils which im hoping to air brush onto my mini bars that i make from reclaimed oil drums .. my biggest fear is paint bleed because the stencils are not adhesive ...im guessing its all about slow gentle coats of paint with the drum warmed up to dry the paint quickly . I spray paint the base colour with a spray gun and 2k paint ( same way cars were painted before they started using waterbase paint here in the uk ) .. im hoping to be able to get good at airbrushing with practice .. i can draw/sketch really good ie black n white photo like drawings with pencils or charcoals but iv never used an airbrush before lol :)

      Danny Shipp airbrushing can be a bit intimidating but as long as you start painting you’ll start having control and experience.
      It gets easier just don’t be scare of making mistakes!

    Looks good. Are those stencils just multi-layer silkscreen screens?

    • @HDStencils
      @HDStencils  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Andre van Wyk those are High Detail stencils, those give you the results in just one layer.
      They are similar to silkscreen but they don’t work for silkscreen.

    What's your preferred type of airbrush??

    • @HDStencils
      @HDStencils  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Blackgold67 I got a few different ones and if I had to start over I would start with a Iwata micron side feed, that’s my favorite for small artwork on motorcycles and helmets.
      If I did mostly bigger car murals I would go with an eclipse side feed.
      What about yours?

      @@HDStencils Thanks for the reply bud... My airbrushes are cheap airbrushes. I don't airbrush much and I'm not all that good so I haven't paid big money for an airbrush. Maybe one day I'll invest in a much better one. I was wondering what you would recommend for someone like me. How much would you spend if you were just starting out? I tend to like Iwata but a good inexpensive one would work well I'm thinking. Not sure though..
      Thanks again and keep them video's comin"

    • @HDStencils
      @HDStencils  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ive always used Iwata, back when I started they were cheaper. From my experience a good airbrush will help you succed easier, an Eclipse would be a good starting point.
      for intricate details the best choice is a micron but if you dont paint small stuff then an eclipse.

    what machine do you use to make your stencils? i bought some stencils from you. i loved the way they looked, just like the pic but they wouldnt work on the surface i bought them for. bc it was not a flat surface

    • @HDStencils
      @HDStencils  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Johnathan Jenkins if you got the HD’s, those were developed by hdstencils.com but if you used the multi layer stencils those are cut by laser.
