With the addition of BBs you can turn any frame drum into a temporary ocean drum. I even tried adding some to a smaller Chau gong, but the sound wasn't as metallic as I thought it might be.
That's super interesting. Could you please share the sizes of the drums and how this in your opinion changes the sound. I am wondering how the sound is influenced maybe when the drum is bigger. AND: Is your theta drum in this video 40 or 50 cm (16" or 20")? Thanks for your great support here.
Hello Ulrike, thank you for your kind reasonance! The bigger the size the deeper the low frequencies of the sounds; and it will louder as well; and: easier to control! the Theta drum in this video is 40 cm inside the frame, 50 cm outside the frame; the sound elements use the space of 40 cm. I just got another interesting wave drum created by Allton; I surely will present it in the next "wave drum how to play" edition.
a fantastic introduction, especially the importance of the start of the sound, thank you.
Very informative, thank you 😊 🙏
Love your perspective, and suggestions.
Excellent, thank you!
Thank you for this video!!! What a great demo
Thank You Jenz 🥰
