      @@soundquestacademy yes please! Can you explain singing bowls? Is crystal better than brass? How do you know if it's at the right frequency? What if it's a negative frequency or a sound that affects you badly.

      @@adrianne2859 Absolutely, I'd be happy to dive into this! Singing bowls, with their rich history in meditation and healing practices, come in various materials, each offering a unique sound profile. Brass bowls, traditional and rich in overtones, provide a complex, deep sound that many find grounding. Crystal bowls, on the other hand, offer a clear, resonant tone that's often used for targeted healing, especially in chakra work due to their precise frequencies.
      Speaking of frequencies, finding the "right" one really depends on your personal or therapeutic goals. Some practitioners align bowl frequencies with specific chakras or healing intentions. However, it's important to note that what resonates positively for one person might not for another. If a particular sound feels unsettling or negative to you, trust your instincts. The beauty of sound healing lies in its personal nature; what matters most is how the sound makes you feel.
      If you're exploring singing bowls for personal use or considering incorporating them into your practice, I'd recommend experiencing them firsthand if possible. The way a bowl's vibration feels to you is just as important as the sound it produces. Remember, there's no one-size-fits-all answer here; it's all about what resonates with you personally. Happy exploring!

    Hi, thank you very much for posting this video, it is very useful! I would have a question, though. After a recent sound bath (I always ask for feedback) one of the participants said that the way I use the ocean drum is "offbeat". He often listens to ocean waves or ocean drum sound recordings and they are more rhythmical than the one I do. Would you have any recommendations on what should be the ideal rhythm and if there should be any at all? Thank you very much in advance!

    • @soundquestacademy
      @soundquestacademy  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@veresjuditeszter I’m so glad you found the video helpful - thank you for sharing your question! The ocean drum can evoke powerful sensations, and the way you use it really shapes the experience for your participants. There’s no single ‘right’ rhythm, but rather an approach that best connects with the energy of your session and the group’s needs.
      Generally, you can experiment by letting the drum mimic natural wave patterns, starting with softer, slower rhythms, and gradually building or shifting as you go. This ebb and flow can invite a sense of calm and natural immersion for your participants. However, each sound healer has their unique touch, and often, finding that rhythm that resonates is a blend of intuition and technique.
      I’d love to dive deeper into this with you and help you refine your approach to the ocean drum and more. If you’d like, let’s book a complimentary coaching call where we can explore this in detail and address any other questions to elevate your practice. Hi there! Thank you for your interest in the ocean drum! You can find ocean drums at various music stores, both online and locally. Websites like Amazon, Sweetwater, and Thomann have a good selection. If you're looking for something more unique or handcrafted, checking out Etsy or local music shops that specialize in percussion instruments might be a great option. If you need further assistance or recommendations, feel free to ask. 🥁🌊

      The ocean drum in this video is not a branded company that made it. I believe it was hand made, and sold at Gandharva Loka, a world music instrument store in Vancouver, BC. You can check to see if they have any more available here: www.gandharvaloka.ca/
