What an amazing video it is. i'm planning to visit Austria this November and wanted check out Olpererhütte, that's how i found your youtube channel. Unfortunately i just figured out that the cabin starts to hibernate from Oct to ,.,not sure this part. Anyway your video is just full of stunning view and spots. Thank you! I appreciate your comment. The hike to the Olperer Hut is so beautiful that you'll enjoy it even if the hut is closed. You can even do a loop, continuing after the bridge and going down the other side (where you will pass another hut) until you reach the glacier lake again. Have fun! 🙂

If you ever come to Austria again, you have to take a look at the Himmelsleiter via ferrata on the border of Styria and Upper Austria (climbing). It's only for adults and with a mountain guide it has a breathtaking view. On the other hand, the Wilder Kaiser is for children!😅😅😆

5:41 You can drive around this toll street. But it is bumpy, narrow and very steep. I drive there always but be prepared for a though ride.

the key thing I hoped to find was a map in the video showing where each hike is located, and approximate travel time to get there from major cities.

Which town is the best to stay in when you plan to visit these trails?
As they are spread through all of Austria, somewhere in the central part would work best. We stayed in the Zillertal.
