Thank you, Wayne, for reminding us every couple of years that all we need are the basics for truly beautiful complexion at any age. It's so easy to get distracted by new and flashy products, but nothing beats cream foundation, translucent powder, and setting spray.
This reminds me of a blush application video you did a few years ago where you instructed us that the final look should be as if we "were frolicking through a field with secrets", and which has been the way I apply color to my cheeks ever since 😉
@Abc Defgh I don't know exactly when Wayne posted it, maybe two years ago. The technique is to apply the blush to the middle apples of the cheeks and sweep slightly outward towards the temples and then a small (tiny) amount across the bridge of the nose to give a natural flushed look. Sometimes I skip the nose part but the look is very fresh faced and pretty. As long as you use a light hand. Too much and you run the risk of looking like Bette Davis in Whatever Happened to Baby Jane 😂😂😂

I believe he meant when he covers his eye to avoid getting shiny under his eyes, because he’s a little puffy there. The shine on the puffiness will just make it look exacerbated.

I’m just turning 70. All this powder is way too much for me as I have very dry skin. Not many wrinkles but powder isn’t a friend to me. I use setting spray and spray in between layers. However if I used this much powder I would be in the Sahara desert. I do appreciate all the videos you make for older women you are our hero!
Wayne, I LOVE your powder!!! I just turned 58 and I get SO MANY compliments on my skin. It does lock in my foundation, in fact my foundation lasts for hours and doesn’t transfer, but somehow I look radiant and luminous, not matte and cakey. I will buy this powder again and again.

I use the Sonia G, mini base brush and stipple. I don't think I've ever tried your foundation with a beauty blender. Going to try this routine soon. I always think they have too much fragrance and alcohol...would like to have one that was effective but without being drying or obnoxiously scented...

Use of wrong colors can age, I rarely saw a video about using the right colors (blush, foundation, eyeshadow etc) for : different skins and their undertones. Over 40 it's very important to change not only the texture but the colors as well.

Wow it looks perfectly natural! I'd like to try your makeup as well as the powder but it is very difficult to determine a shade from the website posted. I have a light/fair skintone, look best in neutral colors rather than cool or warm but the lighter swatches shown on the model's arm show pure white.
