You're very welcome. I do understand how it goes .. at least Wayne can make us feel a little bit more prettier on the outside when our insides are not feeling so good.@@chrissylee325
Lol...pushing 70 HARD. Sitting here with one eye closed...lol..cataract surgery. And still watching your vids. Hopeful when my eye is healed I will be able to do this.
Today I tried your contouring method, after listening to your video yesterday. It worked! I'm 69 and suddenly looked glowing and without any telltale lines! Thank you very much. I'm going to repeat this every day.
I've always been masculine and liked that feature of me. I've never thought make up looks manly on men, until I saw this video. It is really inspiring. I might consider using make up myself when I get more time signs on my face in a couple of years (I can tell i'll develope eye bags and I'm not too happy about it, so I think i'll mask that with some make up). You look handsome, manly and also beautiful, the make up really enhances your natural beauty. Congratulations for your skill and thanks for opening this world to me.
The fact that a man way over 40 applies make-up on himself so damn well and even explains it better than many other women younger and older than me is simply astonishing 🤩So very little product and yet such a natural flawless result...Bravo!!!
Love this technique Wayne!! One of the reasons I love how you do make up is because you make it look as natural as possible. I’m 50 and don’t want to look 20 so there. 😅
I’m over 50 & have in my arsenal a contouring set from Elf. To be honest, I haven’t touched it bc I’m terrified still of making it look too noticeable but might give it a try after seeing this tutorial. ..Wayne, you really break down each step beautifully & like you I don’t like to wear too much makeup -prefer the more natural look. My main issue is that I have hyperpigmentation/combination skin which requires more of a full coverage & blending it so it look as natural as possible is challenging to me. Thank you for giving us a bit more confidence to try things out & learn as we go. 🥰❤🙏🏻
Wayne, yours was the first channel I watched on TH-cam. I'm 60 now an still learning from you. I have a terrible time with eyeshadow. I am finding that as I age with very hooded eyes, less is better. I have gone to eyeshadow sticks for ease of application. With powders, I wind up with a muddy mess. Don't laugh...I adore blue eyeshadow, always have! I do stay away from it because I don't know how to do a look with it at my age. I will play with contouring this next week....hoping for success!! Just love your channel and your kind way of sharing information.😊
I only wear different blues on my eyes! I’ve tried everything else…but navy liners and soft gray blues -sometimes a shimmer for nights out - are my everything.
Eyeshadow fail sister here too. No matter what products or brushes I try, and how many tutorial videos I watch on blending, positioning, matte crease, and a dab of shimmer in the middle etc etc, it all ends up in one smooshy sludge coloured crepey mess. And not in a hot way 😢
Over 40 here and Wayne you ve brought so much light into my life and yes my face!! Thank you so much you have given me confidence in doing my makeup for a +40 year old face rather than trying to hold onto a routine more suited for a 20-30 year old face. Change is hard but with your help it's almost a breeze. Thanks again and much love from Napa Valley. Oh and you looked STUNNING WOWOWOWOWOWOW!
I'm 47 and relatively new to your channel, although I knew of your products first! I must say, you are Amazingly Talented in the sincerest way! The ability to see colors, contrast, blending, and envision things the way you do is such a wonderful gift!! You work artistically with color in a way that appears effortless, which is the absolute hallmark of genius!! ❤ Thank you for posting and sharing these contouring techniques with us! 😊 From Oregon, USA.
I've had a lot of trouble over the years with contouring. This is an absolutely perfect explanation and demonstration and I think that when I go to try this out, I'll finally have the concept down. Thanks so much Wayne! You always give the best advice! If we could only keep one makeup channel on TH-cam and get rid of all the rest, your channel would be the keeper. 🥰
I needed this today... At 43 things have definitely become more difficult 😫😘 you're the best. Now im going to grab the new laura foundation because ive only seen it on 25 year old skin. Lol... Looks amazing on you! Xo
Thank you so much Wayne. I think there's only one word to describe you: FABULOUS!!!! I've never felt comfortable with contouring, I used your technique this morning. I realised I had to adjust it to my face. It looks amazing. I also used your technique for the eyes. I realised that I really didn't need to do any more on my eyes than you did. I feel great today thanks to you! x
Excellent technique. I tried it and it looks fabulous. Especially the eye contour using the simple folded tissue paper. Also used the tiniest amount of foundation… I switched up the blush with a cream blush instead of using powder… thank you for your expert tutorial.
This is so perfectly timed. I have just treated myself to the LM foundation. So exited as it actually has a pink undertone choice for me. Love the dewy finish. I follow all your videos and have done for a long time. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Can’t wait til your skin prep comes out. X
What a wonderful birthday present you’ve given us. A beautiful look, so classy and timeless. I’m watching this in bed and I can’t wait to wake up so I can try this look. I’m excited 😛. Happy birthday, Wayne. You look amazing.
That was very nice Wayne! I have the same vein over the eye so that is nice to see the blend of darker. I will be 54 this year and I still have not put on makeup for 17 years because I'm too scared of looking funny. Someday I will try again😊
Wayne is still the contour master! So often most make-up TH-camrs just slather bronzer all over their faces, and leaves me wondering "what was the point of your foundation if 90% of your face has bronzer all over it?" And they say it's "contouring." Contour is for shadow and light. It's nitpicky of me, but it annoys me so much, and the areas that are supposed to look like "shadow" just look muddy to me.
Hey Wayne! Been following you on TH-cam for forever. I learn so much in each video! I struggle with contouring, so I never do it. It also always seems like too much, but this looks so natural and perfect that I might try it. Course, my favorite moment was when you said you were only doing the one eye and that it didn’t matter, bc in a few minutes you’d be washing all of that shit off your face. I laughed out loud….thanks for the video!
This is simply amazing! Where have you been all this time? Am almost 65 and have only just found you out. Have tried your tips and it works wonderfully! Thank you, thank you, thank you from Italy 😊
This i why I love Seint makeup. I'm 45 and have really just gotten into makeup over the past year or so. You don't have to put your main shade on your whole face, just where the contour and highlight isn't. It's like an easy paint-by-numbers system, making it easy for people like me! I was still a bit confused on where/how to contour, thank you for this video.
Thank you so much for this, Wayne!! You're a wonderful teacher and a gorgeous human, inside and out! Appreciate you! I'll be trying this for my upcoming dance recitals.
well i kind of grew up watching your videos, along with other youtubers, the thing is i just wanted to have a peek at it but i ended up watching it whole along with two more, it was really informative, love the concept and the presentation how everything is so well blended without visible lines. thanku.
This is my first time seeing you. Wonderful, job. Very satisfying to watch. I’m going to try the concealer technique of inner corner under eye only and see. I rarely sleep well, so dark circles and bags are often in residence under my eyes…plus aging (I’m 57).
Hi Wayne, this video is so educational and helpful for us,please can you do more videos like this, I very much enjoyed watching this video ,thank you. Love Katherine xoxo
This is literally The Best contouring video I have ever seen. The techniques and explanations are crystal clear. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I'm your new devoted fan ❤
Watching wayne video is always gsin more knowledge about makeup technique. How nicely & politely you teaches about make-up! No drama , no extra talk, no overdoing... Really love to watch you again & again ❤️ Love from India ❤
Omg I've had that same Bobby Brown colour corrector sitting in my makeup box for 6 months not used as I hadn't seen this vlog! Can't wait to try & apply correctly so that it & my concealer don't accentuate my eye lines. Love BB & worked in the "industry" pretty much all my working life. Am now 76 years along in my journey & feel 100% better about myself with makeup on. The darkness is mainly in the corner of my eyes so in hindsight your explanation makes so much sense. Brilliant information. Thank you
I love how thorough he is I love him he's really great helping those of us who aren't familiar with how to apply skincare products correctly and very clear on what he's representing.. thank u handsome I love and appreciate what u do my dream is to meet him and have a total makeover from skincare to putting on my face his way not that I'm not good at what I do because my Momma taught me when was 10yrs old and still to this day I get compliments from friends, loved ones and strangers on how beautiful my make-up looks and I've been asked especially when I was younger if I am a model or how do u get your eyeshadow to go on even around the outside and this started in the 9th grade and before the little what I call "guides" some people use tape or the plastic tool that we use for liquid eyeliner for the perfect cats eye.. but when I was 14 my best friend using Max Factor pancake makeup and I had been using Cover Girl foundation and once I tried pancake make-up with the little sponge I fell in love with how flawless my skin and make-up looked but I haven't seen it in years..
You are a pretty man! I've tried a couple of techniques from your tutorials as a 42 year old man who mostly keeps his vanity locked in a closet. The issue I tend to have is any concealer, foundation, primer, or tinted moisturizer tends to mostly get captured by my facial hair, no matter how well I've shaved. I will point out that I can grow a beard very fast & when I was in the Army, a lifetime ago, I got a lot of grief from my leadership about my "5:00 shadow," they assumed I either wasn't shaving daily or I lacked the proper technique (which obviously isn't accurate, my technique shaving is flawless & well developed because it needs to be 🧔🪒 Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thx
Happy Birthday!🎈🍾🥂🎂 Should I "bake" if I have dry skin and over 50? Love the overall face sheen, not too glossy/glow & not matt (where it settles in wrinkles). Thank you for giving product brands, color used & coverage.
I'm 43 and my skin has been so dry after 40. My foundation always look so cakey, and on top of that, I need concealer to cover and highlight, but it just make my makeup look so heavy and flat. This video is right on point, as always! I'm definitely going to try this!
LMBO Wayne! "I'm only going to do one eye because quite frankly I'm just going to wash all this sh*t off anyway" LMBO! I love all of your videos and I'm glad you didn't edit out you getting up or anything else! Have a great evening Wayne!
Wayne, I was so thankful to find your channel. As I age my skin becomes more sensitive. If you could do a You-tube with products that are best for sensitive skin, I think it would be well received by many.
Wayne, have you done a video describing the perfect kit for subtle male makeup, including contouring? It would be nice to see all the kinds of brushes, (sizes, shapes, bristle spread), application brushes and blending brushes, why they have the qualities they have, and what they're best for. Same with sponges and when they're used, if at all with subtle makeup, powder puffs, etc... maybe something about compressed power foundation, bronzer, blush vs. liquid. This way guys can start to build up their kits without wasting a lot of money on undereducated understanding of makeup tools. I'll look to see if you have these now. I maybe should have looked before I commented but it is what it is :P
Love this video! I admire your handsome face and the beard! Just curious where the contouring would go on the bottom half of the face where your beard is. Would it be under the sides of chin toward the neck area? Would it be on the underside of the chin?
WOW. Good job. I am 65yr lady & don't wear makeup only lipstick & sometimes a blusher to the cheeks. But I really enjoyed this video. Outcome is so amazing.
Your contouring make up video was awesome. You made it look effortless. I am 58 and just starting to do my differently. I surfed TH-cam for ideas. This is when I saw your video… I was impressed!!!
40 here & I realized about 2 weeks ago that my previous way of contouring just wasn't looking as good as it used to. It's so weird bc this is what I've been doing. Not so much the highlight, but I'll def incorporate it now bc it looks amazing!!!
I love your tips Wayne! I'm not in your target demographic (early 30s here), but this makeup looks so lovely and natural on everyone and I love learning skills and looks that will carry me on as I age and my face does its thing haha.
I've been intimidated to try what you're doing but u make it so much easier to follow I'm 54 and I thought that I knew everything about what my skincare but since I've been with Ipsy I didn't really know squat...lol. I've been Ponds cream and Dove bar soap since I was 13 and I've been complimented on how I don't have any wrinkles or gray hair but I do just not very visible and that depends on what foundation and setting powder I use.
Over 40 here and I am so happy to see Wayne today! Having some health struggles and just love him AND learning from him!
Hope you feel better soon. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
Hope your health improves soon ... G'Day from Australia

Its a good day when Wayne's here.
I'm 53 and have never done any contouring. It's wonderful seeing a Wayne Goss tutorial and it did look undetectable. Beautiful job, Wayne.
Every time I watch your videos, I’m struck by how skilled you are. I feel like I always learn something new.

Lovely to have Wayne do a contour tutorial again, the good old days😎❤️

Agree that they end up looking muddy. They get out the bronzer and undo all that the foundation has accomplished. I really dislike that look.
They end up looking messy, with too much makeup, which is also very aging.
Very well done Wayne! Thank you for showing us how it's done.

Fantastic video Wayne you have helped me so so much over the years. Your our gem 💎

Fantabulous video for my birthday! Absolutely brilliant and lovely 💖💖💖
Happy Birthday! 🎉
Wow you are looking so handsome the more you grow. I have been your fan since you stared.
I’ve always struggled with contouring. I need to try with this video on my next day off. It looks flawless.
Happy Birthday!🎈🍾🥂🎂 Should I "bake" if I have dry skin and over 50? Love the overall face sheen, not too glossy/glow & not matt (where it settles in wrinkles). Thank you for giving product brands, color used & coverage.
I’m so happy to see this. Your blush technique is amazing. The blushing up around the eyes that I’ve been seeing is not for me. Thank you 🤩😍
You're such a a beautiful man, and a great artist. Thanks so much for your tutoring

What was that glorious matte Eyeshadow palette???! Those are colors I love!
Class unlike some mua that really teach zero. Thankyou Wayne.😊
WOW.
Wow amazed at how well he demonstrates abd explains this so well.
The master of contour.
Thx Wayne! ❤
You give me confidence, you are very helpful. I love your approach.
Yes! Over 40 here! Thanks a bunch🩷
