    Hi Erin! I have seriously commercial long line fished but now retired. We were one of the most productive boats out on the west coast of Florida. Your way of harvesting fish is awesome!! Not on purpose we killed more shorts in an hour than you will kill in a lifetime. Don’t worry about what people say man you’re doing it right!! Hope y’all slip by this storm. Love y’all be safe!!

    +1 on spearing looking easy on YT. I have taken out a few very good freedive instructor friends of mine. Great technique, depth and bottom time on the rope but with a gun, everything is new. I really subscribe to the idea that good hunting skills trumph dive skills for most scenarios. Though of course, it's ideal when you do have good dive skills, too. But yeah, having beginner charter guests, and some possibly without great freediving skills, probably needs quite the reality check to make sure they don't get disappointed.
    On another note, I am also happy to see how quickly you brain and gut your fish. It's just the respectful thing to do. Personally, I don't even like seeing people throwing their fish into the boat.
    I've never really gotten into chumming, but would love to see a video on it. I think I saw you mention that you buy a premade one and mix it with sand? But perhaps you could talk about the all DIY version and a bought one and what else comes to your mind. How much, how often, how long to wait before it should take effect. All that jazz.

    • @KeyWestWaterman
      @KeyWestWaterman  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've said It a hundred times, im a much better hunter than I am diver! and thats why I tend to be a little more successful than others!
      I just know I'd rather be dispatched quickly than go out in a cold dark cooler! so I try to provide the same courtesy!
      For sure that is definitely on the list to be done! weather has been terrible here for the last month so ive had to put a lot of the back burner!
