I agree 110% with the waste stripe being too big on the Kings jerseys. I love the rebrand but I was hoping for something with purple/forum blue as well. I’m surprised they didn’t just make a black version of the shiny silver alternate from last season. Also kinda bummed they didn’t keep the chrome helmets.
I'm also surprised they didn't just produce a black version of last year's alternate. That would have looked better in my opinion, but maybe it had something to do with the switch from Adidas to Fanatics.
Bare with me if this comment is long. I may or may not repeat this on the Discord channel, but I will say all this immediately... ANAHEIM DUCKS: Just an incredible change for the better. Cannot say this enough. WOW! I'm not even a Ducks fan and I'm super pumped to see their new look on the ice. Every time I see the Ducks post photos and reels on Instagram of former players and also southern California celebrities being gifted the new home jersey, it is just so good. The orange color is so loud and every single element just makes it look eye popping in the outdoors. It just motivates me to save and buy one. And then the customization? Thousand times better than what the just stopped using. The 2-color drop shadow on the numbers? So good. And if you saw ESPN's Linda Cohn get gifted a Frank Vatrano jersey, the Ducks' Twitter showed a video of her introducing the look. He played for the Rangers before landing in Anaheim last summer, so I would get his name and number, too. She looks so good in that jersey. Would also in the white road jersey which is phenomenal. Seeing the name and number on that one! I don't know if you saw the Ducks' latest videos of Teemu Selanne and Guy Hebert opening their gift boxes and both loved them so much that they wish they can come back and play again. What a winning rebrand. I hope you end up buying both yourself. You would be at least as excited as the Coyotes RR2 jersey. LOS ANGELES KINGS: HUGE upgrade, improvement, etc. Quite happy the Kings FINALLY decided to go with the Gretzky era logo and customization with the modernization tweaks. I have heard some complain about the striping (especially the hem) being too big. I disagree. I think it is perfect! Why? It helps fill any negative space below the crest logo. The only thing I might... and only MIGHT want to see how it would look is having white numbers outlined in the sparkling silver on the home jersey instead of all silver like the earliest Gretzky era jerseys had. Then simply the same customization for the road jersey as the original Gretzky era home jersey and just retired alternate. I know, then it would not be different from what they had, so I get it that they wanted a subtle change to be new. I'm sorry if some fans are going to be nitpicky with the hem stripe, but again people need to realize that if they went smaller, the same fans would complain even more that the jerseys look too boring and plain. The more eye popping elements, the better. It isn't the bold vivid colors like the Ducks' new look, but the Kings hit a home run here with the new uniforms. Went from one of the worst to now one of their best looks ever with this change. A lot of people mention their disappointment in the lack of a future purple ("Forum Blue") and gold jersey. I can definitely see them introducing one in the next couple of years or so. But I don't want the Reverse Retro 1.0 coming back as popular as it was for some fans. What I want to see is a purple jersey almost identical to what the Kings wore in the earliest years of their existence. NO shoulder yoke extending down the sleeves like they had in the early 1980s. Create gold and white striping for both the hem and sleeves. AND... use the newly modernized crown logo seen on the new primary logo for the crest. Then the same customization as these new jerseys are, but of course in the white and gold colors. THAT to me would be outstanding. I have seen a concept on Instagram of this idea but in the black, silver and white colors and I was impressed. Again, huge upgrade and so happy the Kings FINALLY ditched those ugly uniforms they have worn for the past 14 years. Especially that home plate logo.
Ducks return to having one of the best logos in the league after YEARS of fans begging for a return. I think the owners could no longer ignore fans outcries about the webbed D, especially since their most popular jersey sales were always the og logo.
The Ducks done a amazing change. I am a kinda new ice hockey fan. This is my fourth season now. When I first thought of following ice hockey. My first thought was the mighty ducks ! Only to find out that they had changed completely. So i chose to follow the hone state team. The Nashville predators.
The LA Chevy patch on the adidas alternate from last season looked way better in my opinion. That silver patch on a black home jersey would’ve been so clean and mean
Both teams did incredibly well with their rebrands. Although, I think the Ducks should’ve gone with black pants and I think the old duck foot was better than the re-made one. And I totally agree that the Kings’ waist stripe is way too thick.
I like that the Kings went back to this logo again. I like the silver and black. I remember Gretzky, when he joined the Kings, saying purple just didn’t cut it. I never liked the purple and gold, but that’s just me.
I covered earlier on my channel; I thought the reverse retro would be their road; but it still looks good. Otherwise Mighty ducks logo is back luv it. Kings 90s logo is back Simple and the fans remember it; Kings 90s gear is back 🎉🎉
both nice but the waist striping and honestly the logo are too big on the kings jerseys imo. especially when you see the captain or alt C or A on them, the logo looks big as hell.
so many thoughts. Ducks jersey. The heritage colors class with the orange. Looks too busy. Poor quality looking. Overall, it would have looked great with the purple instead of the orange. score 7 Kings jersey. This logo back in the 90s always looked generic and rushed. Spelling your team nickname isnt really a logo to me. If they went with the Crown as their main, that would have made a statement. I hate how the road white is just a flop of the home and vice versa. The roads need more black in it. The collar looks like an actual collar lol score 6.5
@@TwistedWristerHockey yeah. In my eyes they messed with a good thing. Now it’s back the way it should be. If the reverse retro 1.0 came back for good, then I’d be all set.
-I didn’t think it was possible to mess up the Mighty Duck brand, but they found a way. -The thicker trim, orange eye, gold accents, and especially the sticks are major downgrades. Logo aside, the jersey is not great. -The updated webbed “D” is actually a decent shoulder patch. The typeface & drop shadow works. Colours are so so.
Ducks original uniforms were iconic with the diagonal design and purple and teal. All they had to do was go back to the original uniforms full time. Orange and gold is ugly.
I think the gold is a really ugly look to the ducks jersey. I like the orange and black though and I think silver would be a good replacement for the gold.
The Ducks jersey is awesome. The Kings jersey is trash. Nothing will ever make the Kings using black and silver be okay. But if they had something creative as opposed to a boring bland black and silver wordmark, that would at least be a start. This is just outright trash with no redeeming feature and they're letting themselves get completely shown up by their OC neighbors.
Ducks now have the worst uniforms in the NHL, logo is great. Colors are gross. The La Kings was a solid upgrade Sharks looked better with black pants, gloves and helmets.
I'd like to see the Sharks experiment with black equipment for their newer teal jerseys. All-teal is a lot, but at the same time I somehow like it (at least for now).

Ducks should test wearing the orange helmet with the white jersey similar to Carolina & Toronto have done with red/blue

California has some of the best jerseys in the league now. Before the Sharks rebranded all three teams were pretty mid.
I beg to differ! I liked the Sharks home and away jerseys from 2017-2022. I even have a personalized one hanging in my closet.
@@SakicFan those were okay but the bottom of the jersey felt completely empty which ruined it for me

Love the jerseys just don't like it being fanatics now. Don't mind the Ducks with orange helmets and pants since itd different from Philly.

Love the Ducks rebrand/ bringing back their best logo! One thing I’d like to see going forward - black pants! Too much orange doesn’t work.
I love them! But what does Cortana think?
Cortana told me she wants a Ducks jersey customized to number 19, Troy Terrier
I covered earlier on my channel;
I thought the reverse retro would be their road; but it still looks good. Otherwise
Mighty ducks logo is back luv it.

Black Alternate Jersey For Anaheim Ducks
OH that's it....I couldn't figure out what was "wrong" with the Kings jersey until you mentioned the numbers were no long in the band....
I really like that matte black helmet
Love it. Now i want to see the Jets and Stars get a retro look.
both nice but the waist striping and honestly the logo are too big on the kings jerseys imo. especially when you see the captain or alt C or A on them, the logo looks big as hell.
It was the last photo of Zegras in Ducks jersey before going to Chicago.
Everyone hates on him but everyone wants him. 😊
Glad my favorite team is still rocking the LHN shield with the Fanatics switch
Glad the Got back to the real Logo
good looks for sure, id even say the anaheim jersey is top 5 in the league but ill wait to see it on the ice
Gimme colour vs colour games. I wanna see those all teal sharks vs those all orange ducks in a game
The ducks uniform isn’t bad but I think the home jersey should have a black helmet to much orange with the orange lids.
THE MIGHTY DUCK IS BACK BABY (Though im a Rangers fan) And i like The Kings going back to their old logo
Lol i like more than 15 teams 😅😅😅😅 especially The 99 era jerseys
so many thoughts.

Definitely glad LA didn’t make that 3rd jersey the new primary jersey. That’s what I was most afraid of.
Oh interesting, the white one with the raised logo? I would have loved to see that in black 😎

I think they use gold because they play in the Golden State.

I agree
4 teams with orange, 0 teams with purple. This is a travesty
