Wonderful song! A real ESC classic. Those were the days of Eurovision.
Exactly, all bad appeared in 2000s, later lots of generic pop
There´re many songs that should have won the ESC but never made it the whole way. This is one of them! Love it!
Maybe for some other year, but for 1986, Sandra was really strong, even highest score at that point if Im not wrong.
Attila Sereftug the Most succesfull Composer for switzerland in ESC. Second in 1986 and winner in 1988 by only Two partifications.

I still fell, 31 years later, that this song - and Daniela Simons - should have won.
Belguim won with a huge difference it whas a run away winner, I like the Swiss and Luxembourg song but Sandra Kim whas the best winner possibel!
The jury obviously agreed with you. A run away winner? From a musically objective point of view (not a Belgian one!) that can hardly be the case. Daniela Simons and Sherisse Stevens were also far better singers.
@@sandradouwen let's be real here, Belgium (my country) should have been disqualified as she was to young. In fact Switzerland petitioned to have our win nullified
@@agnieszkavanheirreweghe5837 there whas no age rule back then and Switzerland indeed complaind about here age but because there whas no rule about it faild! So belguim did win verry fair and deserved!
@@sandradouwen the Belgian jury and Sandra herself still lied about her age. I would say even without the age rule that should be at least some ground for disqualification.

Help us making Eurovision live again. I would love to, but what shall I do? I miss the live orchestra and backing singers on stage. I miss everything like it was.
I wish countries would stop hiding the backing singers behind the stage. It's really irritating.

Be good if not only there was a live orchestra, but on stage musicians were live as well, and not performing (miming) to a backing tape
I miss the good old days of Eurovision too. I think that the edition of 2018 in Lisbon had a flair of those good old days

Great song, phenomenal sound and power. But Daniela Simmons really didn't have the voice to lift this as high as it needed. Atilla Sereftug clearly learned his lesson for his next entry.

Quand je pense que cette chanson n'a pas gagné et s'est trouvée à la seconde place. La Belgique a gagné cette année avec la gamine de 13 qu'elle a envoyée: elle ne méritait pas le prix, au mieux la troisième place car même le Luxembourg était mieux.
