    Holden played a big part in my life worked there for over 40 years loved the company

    What a incredible look at long gone time, that poor old float was so overloaded its not funny, and to think how that press would change manufacturing in Australia, a huge leap forward and horse and carts still running around, amazing point in time

    I still struggle to believe corruption was not the real contributer to Holden being closed. I am talking over the long term. China has too much say On Australia's economy as well. Compare Kmart in Aust to KMart in the USA for example. The smaller Kmart's in Australia now are like going to a more expensive 2$ shop or reject shop. KMart I used to go to was a great store.

    And now that press will be packed up in 2017 to be sent to Thailand or China. Never again will it press panels for the "famous Australian aerobodied Holden". What a tragedy! What a loss to Australia and its manufacturing capability. I hope the CEO of GM is happy with herself and what she has done to Australia.

      It went long before 2017, The Woodville plant closed in the late 70s

      @@chrish4469 Woodville closed in 1988 after the trimatic automatic went out of production but Woodville was superceded in its original role by Elizabeth from the 1960s
