In my opinion the Kaminoans made a mistake when creating the MK1 Hot squad armor, not only did they have very little knowledge of the human body, they were also trying to do too much at once. I mean a group of perfectionist scientist can't create durable all round armor, perfect clone soldiers, battle tactics and multiple lines of advanced specialty armors each specialized for different usage in battle. At the same time whilst on a deadline and still expect every single product to be finished AND perfect.

Clone troopers stationed on the outer rim also used non standard weapons, which was against protocol but who cared, for instance EE-4 and A280 were picked up by specialists and snipers beacuse it was great at infiltration tactics. Clone troopers also used heavy canon mortars flamethrowers grenade launchers many types of mines including vechicle and trip mines, many explosives thermal detonators, ion grenades (droid poppers), inteligent ion grenades inteligent rocket launchers vibroweapons stun batons riot shields flame grenades modified Z-6 canons (like blast canons used against tanks). Specialists had personal shields. Commando blaster Dc 17m i think it was called. Bowcasters this weird chest canon used by muunilist ten, flaks and other types of artilerry weapons etc.
i love in second the Battle of Geonosis only clone Legion or battalion or corp that had any clone flamethrower troops was the 21st Nova Corps also known as the Galactic marines lead by jedi General Mundy and clone commander Bacara but only there jedi general was present but still if you don't know why that is important detail well the galactic marines clone commander bacara is know hardass that really cares more about winning the battle more then his own troops and yes i do mean that hell there was a battle where bacra and his troops weapons we're malfunctioning instead of ordering a retreat bacara told his men to rush and fight with their bare hands the enemy that them we're fighting we're all b2 super battle droids and the clones we're just giving a order to fight them with their bare hands and if a clone was not up to his standards he would order a transferred order to a different clone unit for that clone

There’s no excuse for making a dangerous armor. When making weapons,armor, and enhanced soldiers everything must be combat ready because failures of such weapons will make any army fail and that means there’s going to be a lot of dead soldiers so yeah there’s no excuse for this they didn’t have it combat ready which means it shouldn’t of even been deployed
How can the flamethrowers make toxic fumes? I understand the lack of oxigen. But you don't use flamethrower troopers on their own. They are close range units, which would be acompanied by regular infantry. They should have thought about the diverse combat situations they would be in. How do you make a weapon that incapacitates your troops that aren't wearing a capable filter? (Every other clone other than the flametrooper) What happens to the escorting infantry likely not wearing any protective gear at all? No clone would want to escort a flametrooper from the knowledge that they would die from toxic fumes. Actually this is rather realistic as in WW1 and 2 if a flametrooper got shot usually the bullet went through him into the fuel tank, exploding it, him, and everyone around him. I wouldn't want to be next to the poor sod.

The republic is at fault most if not fully; designing Anything takes a lot of time to consider how well it preforms and determine outstanding issues especially military equipment, and skimping on the budget of their only viable military in which to fight their war was irresponsible. The Kaminoans on the other hand are providing advanced services to the republic, considering the nature of these services a lot of time and money (they are also cloning an army after all) to develop the equipment understandably needed, it's as the adage says "you get what you pay for".
