Speaking of rock collaborations, Snoop recorded "Bounce" with Rage Against the Machine (minus Zack).

2Pac would have been open to work with metal artists. Most of hip-hop is open musically in that way. In fact Ice Cube was the one to help Korn get their big break. Hip-hop has never been a genre closed off to other genres, other genres tend to look down on hip-hop and always did look down in it. Every now and again you'll have an artist from another genre open to working with a hip-hop artist. Most music of black origin artists are very musically open to work with any artist that wants to work with them as long as they have a feel for the song presented and the story bring told. I mean look at Beyonce's work with Jack White with the song Don't Hurt Yourself and let's not forget how when she performed her own song with the Dixie Chicks at the CMAs a few years ago country fans and artist went crazy with racist propaganda even going so far as to say she didn't belong because she was black. To be honest I'd be hard pressed to find a hip-hop artists (not new artist) who've never worked with artists from another genre including metal and rock.

You know I have very similar background. I used to listen to a lot of hiphop when I was young (I guess we are about the same age). Cypress Hill, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Nas, DMX, Ice Cube etc...
As for good newer hiphop I really really like some songs by a pretty much unknown finnish artist View. The very first song he released was awesome and really surprised me. If your interested check out "View - Avalon".

Hey, first of all I really liked the reaction. Definitely would enjoy more oldschool rap since I never jumped too much deep into it. Most commonly listened to Ice Cube and Tupac.
Also would love me some dreamcatcher reactions, though. I enjoy em all!

TOM MACDONALD gets them enough but TUPAC would have straight hit em up TUPAC was my favorite rapper when he died in 95 HIP hop died to then Eminem came out started hard the he got soft now I've got TOM MACDONALD. But it's good to go back and reminess about the old game. Love ya dude

I want to listen very clearly my phone is in my son's name she was murdered this is my way of keeping him alive second thank you for the compliment about Tupac's ability to wrap second I don't know why y'all white people sit up there and say if he was alive he would do something with me heavy metal no he went into heavy metal because Tupac is and always will be a revolutionary I know that don't matter to you as a white man because y'all don't have any problems y'all don't have relatives and loved ones who get killed at the hands of white people and police okay so y'all don't know what it is to lose although you didn't say this sir please don't tell me that you're not racist I watch all of y'all pure cannot be racist you said something nice about pot but that's because you own hair I really know how y'all really feel about us as black people assume that we dumb stupid and don't belong on this Earth that's what y'all wrong if it wasn't for the Indian app my people I say my people I mean African American people y'all white people would have what you have let me inform you just in case you don't know black women descended from Queen black men descendants of kids and this is why y'all don't want us to know about our heritage or anything because the truth is too. Vagina ran around here and say y'all white people are superior just don't want black people you're not getting a superior to up at all you don't like us because Heavenly Father made us with Talent color and abilities that y'all would never have that's why you don't like them why y'all get mad at us because we are African American that is very stupid y'all sit out there in the sun you're welcome to sit out there in the sun trying to get black try to talk black I'm not saying you doing this sir but a lot of your people do that try to be like of African American people okay yes he got on Little Kim because a little Kim along with the rest of the motherfuker said some disrespectful s*** about Park when Park was locked up on bullshitt Nash charge and let me inform you he did not rape the b**** that accused him of raping her after Suge Knight murder wanted to apologize apologize to his mama has sometimes apologies too little too late hey do people get raped a b**** what the people that she hung out with okay it wasn't Tupac so don't go something that he did not do she accused him of rape what she lied she even told his mama after he was murdered that she lied on him so cuz I'm tired of y'all white people always want to look up to positive background and talk about what he did and what he said what he whatever he do y'all like to see bring up negative s*** and calls y'all tries to tear his legacy down I say y'all me white people figured out a way to have them assassinated and it did Tupac the same way rest in peace my beautiful black African-American King and revolutionary no one would ever take your place to buy love you for life and if anybody don't like what I said to that man or about to fight y'all kiss the crack of my ass just know I'm not
