Balblair a plenty! Took me years to find a bottle in the US. What no Grangestone? Does that even exist in the UK? I’ll take the Victoriana if you’re going back in… those mini’s with their little tubes and boxes, hilarious. Nice video.
Entertaining and informative! An old Ralfie review put me onto Black Bull 40 year old. Far too expensive now but that shop had a few bottles of some younger [?] ages near the start of the tour. I would have given them a once over out of curiosity. They had a Glen Scotia 18! Depending on the price, that might have been the bottle I'd have bought. If not anything else, I'd probably have walked out with 3 or 5 mini's myself. (Actually, if you happen to know of a store or two selling the GS18 in the Bay Area...)
I enjoyed the video but was quite shocked to see the Whisky Shop in Trentham Gardens (which I've been to while visiting my in laws) featured! What brings you to Stoke?
Buffalo Trace @ £52 is shameful... £21 in Morrisons atm and questionable if it's worth that! Also concerning to see so many bottles soaking up the UV's 🤣 How long you guys in the UK for?
I was going to say, it's pretty expensive by our terms (South Africa) and even by Scottish terms i.e. most shops on the Royal Mile were comparable if not cheaper. Absolutely loved the footage Phill and Deepa. Thank you and have a great time. P.S. Get some Rowntree Fruit Pastille's while you're there, they're GOLD!
@@WhiskyMystery They used to make them here, but no longer unfortunately. (They were every bit as good as the British version, especially the little 50gr boxes in the white paper packets. So... we now have to import them from the UK, but at least they're readily available.
What they didn't have in the shop is rather telling for me and shows that the supply situation regarding certain single malts is not confined to mainland Europe.
Exactly. Most shops on the Royal Mile are cheaper and have a much better range. Gordon & McPhail was also phenomenal and well priced. Scotland is absolutely beautiful.
I wish we had access to that selection of mini's. Excellent tour, thank you for taking us along.
Will see more minis in Edinburgh
Where is the best place to buy minis?
I see a lot at the tourist area Royal Mile in Edinburgh

Grangestone the Total Wine brand :-) I do like a good Balblair.
Great Store Tour 🙂Interesting to compare the both Store tours. You have nice weather in UK too. Here the weather is also good like yours.
It was the hottest day of the year so far

Hmm o think I saw a GS 18 at Buri Buri daily city. (650) 583-6898
Nice video. I have recently started my whisky journey buying some from supermarkets. After watching this video I think I need a bigger bank account.
Less everything also works
A much more interesting selection than SFO! I bet that Craigellachie Octave is great. Very nice selection.
Yeah good shop although price is a little higher than average
Nice selection.
Cheers
Most interesting was the Scotia limited and some of those first edition single casks, and maybe that oban
Agreed
Great tour! Small bourbon section, but well represented by Buffalo Trace! Have a great day! 🥃😊

Ha Blanton
Good tour, Phil... I didn't see anything Canadian.

Nice store.

That’s actually a single cask buffalo trace my friend
Can we just subsidize you two traveling all year round searching for whisky gems? How many patreons would that take? 😅
We need no encouragement
Down the road from me that!
Oh nice

Yep
Ooft , not the best prices , better off trying the smaller independant shops , good spirit co , cadenheads , tyndrum , royal mile whiskies
Going there soon
