Okay, your commentary on the almost-too-fast pacing and editing is spot-on! It's a 20 minute show. But keep in mind, Adam's comment, "it has to be," is incorrect. This show doesn't answer to network restrictions like the original series did. They could have easily made this a 30-40 minute show just like all the other MCU shows. EVERYone in that final Magneto fight, except Wolverine, was holding back, trying to stop short of lethal force and trying to give everyone every chance... heck, if the priority wasn't getting Magnus' helmet off, Logan might have run him through immediately... just EPIC.
Charles' plan could have been much simpler anyway, he could have used his powers to control Rogue, have her take Magneto's power, then fix the planet; so much easier than trying to wrestle that helmet off.
I agree, I wish this was an hour show. Also in a few lines they show how much Logan and Magneto have a true rivalry because Logan is the only one on the X-Man that's willing to go to the lengths that Magneto is to get it done.

I really get the feeling Magneto has had a bone to pick with Wolverine for a while now. Next episode is gonna be a roller coaster. Since cable is being prevented from doing anything about the event, and they got separated in the time stream, I think we’re gonna land back in episode 5 and see how things turn out completely different. Not just getting Gambit back on the team, and Rogue and Remy moving forward the way they deserve, but the X-Men getting a chance to hit back at Bastian before the prime sentinels pop off.
I love that people make fun of Wolverine for always fighting magneto but the fact that he has the balls to keep fighting him knowing magneto can control his body is what makes him who he is and since he took his metal out it means he’ll go feral with bone claws and magneto is gonna start having some issues 🤣🤣
As for the transitions I didn't think it's as jumpy as you think it is, they said Kurt would bamf them to Muir island where their other base was they made sure to show both aircrafts once there not really a huge jump to assume they'd be used, and then the jean sinister fight was after they had trapsed thru the woods to find that town mock up bastion was using as a base, jean ended up in the bowling alley searching for bastion or an entrance to said base, sinister shows up they fight in the bowling alley, jean then rips the roof off and they end up back outside fighting in the same woods they were in b4 :)
dang, just realizing now how cold Bastion's line to Morph is in this. "Know your role", he's basically telling Morph that he's not skilled enough to make the kind of move that he just attempted
They did a sort of Legacy Virus story in the TAS, but it was created by Apocalypse and the FoH, but it was heavily abridged because it involved a lot of time travel stuff to end it in part 2.
Ok so the thing about Magneto killing the earth's magnetic field is that he'd have to halt the motion of liquid iron in the outer core of the earth (which is how the magnetic field is generated), which is even crazier than just sending everything back to the Dark Ages with a worldwide EMP
They're not suiting up in the mansion, but on Muir Island. Cyclops says Nightcrawler is going to teleport them to Muir Island. And when we're there, there is the little music, showing us we're in Scotland.
I don't remember if there was anything about how far he could teleport. Someonementioned he needed to see the place first. Nit sure teleporting to the island was possible. But they used it.
At this point everyone is going to have to take a day off after the finale of this is only the second to last.........if only just from saying OMG too much. Also was hyped for telekinetic Cable!!!! He is more than just a guy with a gun people! He is literally keeping the techno-organic virus at bay with his mental powers without realizing it until he was told I'm the comics
Hector, from Heroes Reforged, said he talked to someone involved with this show and they told him, in regards to the finale, "It'll be okay". That is some scary foreshadowing.
It is jam packed, but part of the beauty of that is having a ensemble cast. So yes; we went from Jean fighting Sinister in the bowling alley, to the forest. But between that we had Morph & Beast with Bastion and a cut away to the Magneto team, so it felt plausible that there was time for that fight to have moved. This show is *really* good at shifting perspectives to trim the fat.
If I recall, Wolverine gets his metal back from Apocalypse? The evil parts of X and Magneto become Onslaught? They are really COOKIN in the kitchen. Whew!
Yeah, if this continues to follow the comics, I expect Apocalypse to eventually turn up with Wolverine as his Horseman of War and Gambit as his Horseman of Death.

The reaction video I was waiting for the most! Outstanding! Looks like all roads lead to Onslaught, guys. I suspected that this was the direction they were going. However, to see it play out live and in living color is something to behold.
I believe that the reason it was just the three of them on Asteroid M is Magneto was waiting for the Earth's dying magnetic field to reach a point of no return before gathering up the mutants. The radiation and loss of atmosphere wouldnt be instantaneous so he could wait.
Been waiting for this every since i watched the episode, i loved the meta call outs by Rogue and Scott during it. But that ending was emotional and left my speechless, its gonna be a long week till the next episode.
I just got Rogues comment about Morph "barely being on the team 30 minutes before being tossed to the wolves." He almost made it to the end of the episode but not quite.
What makes me laugh about Magnetos plan is that he's killing mutants as well. What are all the mutants left on earth suppose to do? All the creatures of the land and sea. Team Xavier all day he made major mistakes but isn't about a whole world genocide.

5:11 Why would Scott have the right to complain about who Xavier wants to leave his legacy to? Just because Xavier made him field leader doesn't mean he automatically gets a say in who the headmaster of the school is. If he doesn't like it, leave. Besides, Xavier was on his death bed after an unexpected assassination attempt. What was he supposed to do? Read his will to everyone while he was dying? You saw how thick that book was. Beside, he already took the time to address each and every one of them individually when he was taking what he thought was his final breath. If he had said, "And, I leave the school to Magnus." with his dying breath, how much you wanna bet everyone would say "Okay. We'll abide by your wish.". What's the difference between reading it in his will and having him read it out loud anyway? The result would have still been the same.
8:57 I don’t know if this line counts as breaking the 4th wall or not, but at the very least if they’re not breaking it then they are definitely hanging pictures on it. Morph “dies” in the first episode which is 30 minutes in run time. Crazy. That and cyclops black leather line…

Yep they went there. Magneto ripped the Adamantium out of Wolverine's body. So hello Bone Claws Wolverine. 😮
& hello noseless Logan.
@@Jumpoable Orc tusks and wolf fangs too. I loved the bone claws story arc (aka Wolverine goes walkabout).
Ok so the thing about Magneto killing the earth's magnetic field is that he'd have to halt the motion of liquid iron in the outer core of the earth (which is how the magnetic field is generated), which is even crazier than just sending everything back to the Dark Ages with a worldwide EMP
I wonder if he did that and needed to in order to stop the prime-sentinels 🤔
@@foulrot I watch them as well we he said that all emotion left my face.........that is some heavy ass foreshadowing on them and I hate/love it
magnetos bubble 9:30 is for trapping oxygen to breathe not for flying as they were all 3 flying already
Easter Egg: Rogue was wearing Gambit's coat over her old costume until she chose to side with Magneto.
@@johnathanmartin1504and maybe the other two Horsemen will be others who died on Genosha - Sebastian Shaw’s powers would make him a good Famine; Callisto as Pestilence maybe?
I remember being a kid and asking my dad why Magneto couldn't just rip out Wolverine's adamantium. Dad said he could and I wondered why Magneto never did. About a month later, that issue came out. Man alive, this show....
How did you dad know before the issue came out???
He didn't, he just knew there was no reason Magneto couldn't. I thought there was some reason in Wolverine's power set that prevented it, but evidently not.@@colleenbooth2648
you guys have the most insightful observations and real reactions and I appreciate it. Thanks for sharing.
I think Beast should have joined Magneto as well. Adding another one on his team would make it look more divided, and it would make sense for his character arc so far in the season. Perhaps Storm too, pissed off about what humans did to her...
I’ve been waiting for you guys reaction specifically.
This series is the best x men on screen ever!!!!
This show is somehow the best and keeps getting better.
Well. Looks like we get the Wolverine/Apocalypse story line for him to get his adamantium back next season!
I’ve been refreshing your page waiting for this reaction! Cannot wait for next week, but I am also not ready at all 💀
Been waiting for this every since i watched the episode, i loved the meta call outs by Rogue and Scott during it. But that ending was emotional and left my speechless, its gonna be a long week till the next episode.
I just got Rogues comment about Morph "barely being on the team 30 minutes before being tossed to the wolves." He almost made it to the end of the episode but not quite.
Megneto: Wolvie, you do know that magnetism affects metal, right? 🤔
Magneto didn't teach him that when he was the leader of the Xmen 😅
I am not ready for next week, man!
NONE of us are ready...
No one is.
They might think they are.
They're not.
Also..the classic suits..Pryde of the X-Men flashbacks..lets go! 😎
What makes me laugh about Magnetos plan is that he's killing mutants as well. What are all the mutants left on earth suppose to do? All the creatures of the land and sea. Team Xavier all day he made major mistakes but isn't about a whole world genocide.
He's going to go pick up the mutants for his new asteroid m genosha eventually. He's got time
@@macfine He had an hour as of the X-Men arriving on Asteroid M/Avalon. He really didn't seem to be trying to pick anyone else up hovering there in orbet. Just sayin'.
@@Armphid it's that moment you realize writers did something wrong. As a writer, I have a lot of complaints about this episode. Don't blame characters as they could do nothing against That power.
Mannnnnn, that last shot ripped (no pun intended..sorry logan) straight from the comics!
Season 2 is going to be crazy...well..even more crazy than this season! 😱🤣
"BOT BETTA HAVE MY MONEY!!!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
16:02 Adam almost let one slip. lol
One little detail u missed in the intro was the humans at the end have been replaced with prime sentinels
The show just keeps getting better
Wolverine. I'm gonna fight Magneto stay tuned guys!
Wolverine: I'm not gonna post that sh*t
That was a great thought about charles making decisions like everyone can read his mind
Love how every reaction is the same when it comes to the last scene 😂 even at home I was like...no, they're not....OMG THEY ARE 🤯
3:11
Every comic book couple has asked about playing the xmen theme at their wedding.
Excellent take on how to write Xavier!
So, I'm not much of a comicsman, but I love superhero TV and movies (grew up with X-Men: Evolution and Static Shock, then the Raimi Spider-Man movies, and then of course the MCU and Arrowverse). So I often find myself Googling and doing research to learn what the source material says about the various characters and references I'm missing. When I started playing Marvel Snap like a year or so ago, I was like, "Huh, who is this Onslaught guy?" So I looked it up, and was like, "...holy shit, that happened? And Magneto did that to Logan?!"
I'm thankful to Marvel Snap for preparing me for what was to come in this series 😂
I heard of the summary version of what Onslaught is....and was never aware of how he came to be. Until now. WOW!!
Cable management? That's Sinister's department.
This show is so crazy,I swear next week I will have a heart attack watching the finale of this season :O
