For anyone considering buying a fountain pen, it is totally worth it. If you write a fountain pens are great because it only needs minimal to no pressure to write with and they’re refillable so no more plastic waste when you’re out of ink (if you’re using bottled ink). There are so many beautiful ink colours to choose from, etc. I would recommend anyone whose interested to watch the GouletPens Fountain pen 101. Lamy fountain pens are my preferred writing tools. I use the cartridges, but you can also buy ink pots and fill the chambers with ink. Once you start with these writing instruments there is no turning back.
The art eraser that looks like dough is not better than a regular eraser. The purpose is to lighten the pencil in places where you have drawn. It is not meant to erase, but to help with diffumination and creating a gradient effect.
My mom bought me that paintbrush looking pencil from Greece, and I’ve never sharpened it or even thought about using it..... and as soon as you mentioned it was good quality, smooth, and pricey I immediately went to check it said the same thing on it and lo and behold..... I was missing out this entire time

I just learned that you can buy replacement erasers for the Blackwing pencils! How cool is that? My favorite art store carries the Blackwing pencils individually so I might pick some up.

Stationery hauls are my fav! That "art eraser" (or "gum eraser" as I call it) is really useful when drawing sketches with a lot of shadows & highlights, because it creates highlights really well! Plus you can literally wash it and fold it over to get more use out of it. Just make sure it doesn't stay exposed to the air or it'll harden. I wrap mine in plastic wrap :P Also, I'm surprised you didn't get anything from Hanji! It's in Koreatown, not far from Midoco actually, and they have the most amazing washi tapes, stamps, stickers, and other cute items. It's my favourite place to buy stuff in Toronto, and has made a huge dent in my wallet.

You draw and don't know that it's called a kneaded eraser (it says so plain as day on the packaging)? Or that gum erasers exist and can't be used like kneaded erasers?
Just stumbled upon you channel and immediately subscribed when I realized you’re a fellow Canadian. The Muji pens you asked about are some of my favourite. I’ve gotten multiple colours for work.

I've been debating myself between a mechanical pencil and gel pens, because I tend to write small and have writing as bad as doctors. I do like the idea of the post it notes in black and white gel pens though or maybe even green да да

Lamy fountain pens are a really good investment. The Safari comes highly recommended for beginning fountain pen users.

FYI, gum erasers are a thing and are hard and not foldable. The ones they mean are called kneaded erasers.

Jennifer Moore maybe try Miniso? They have great prices too, and Winners and Homesense don’t really carry that many stationery stuff 😔
