@Spacejunkie13 That's definitely unusual -- usually if someone sends a "black tie optional" invitation it's because the host plans on wearing a tux but doesn't want to require his guests to do the same. I don't think I've ever run into someone sending "black tie optional" invites and then exercising the "optional" part himself before!
@Jermz1997 Clean and pulled back in a simple ponytail is the "dressiest" look for long hair on a guy. A trim to even out the ends right beforehand doesn't hurt, either.
I am an Engineering student and I have a convocation ceremony in college. Everyone is comming casual But I want to break the ice. How should I be dressed.. and thank you very much Sir for these awesome videos. I really love them especially when you relate what you are saying with examples. Thanks again
I live in a Tucson, AZ; it's a white sock wearing town. We've gone beyond casual to messy. Although I grew up there, I saw a different world when I was in the army. Now I've grown tired of explaining what the various dress codes mean.
Very useful video Antonio, as usual. Can you make a more-in-details video about wedding attire for different seasons and different dress codes? In my case, I am invited to a wedding of a friend which is going to take place in church first and after that the party will take place in Intercontinental hotel. There is nothing about the dress code in the invitation. I live in Madrid and from what I saw from photos from Spanish weddings, men usually wear very boring, bad fitted monochromatic suits. I still dont have a suit and I know that I should invest in one, but I am not sure that I will have time for that now. My question is: can I wear a navy blazer or sports jacket, dress shirt, a tie of course, beige or light brown chinos and brown double monks? Maybe a vest also in a corresponding colour and a pocket square to bring in some flair. Would that be an apropriate combination? Thank you very much.
REFUSING TO INVITE CERTAIN PEOPLE CAN BE ALSO IN THE MIDST WHERE BEING LEFT OUT BECAUSE YOU NEVER HAVE THE MONEY.... IN WHICH CASE LEND OR GIVE...CLOTHES OR LEAD THEM TO THRIFT SHOPS FOR VOUCHERS THEN WHEN PARTIES OF GOD'S MAKING COME THEY CAN HAVE CLOTHES.
DEAF DUMB AND BLIND I AM NOT BUT I DO HAVE SIGHT PROBLEMS AND YOU HAVE LEARNED THAT IT IS GREAT ERROR TO PRINT LARGE PRINT... SORRY THAT IS THE ONLY THING YOU THINK SO HAVE MERCY ON THOSE WITH QUICK READ AND EDIT PROBLEMS WHO HAVE GREAT AMOUNTS OF EDITING TO DO FOR MANY YEARS AND CONSIDER HAVING TO READ ALL THAT IN SMALL PRINT WITH EYES DIMMING... THANK YOU! I HAVE HEARD THAT COMMENT BEFORE BY THE WAY(SMILE).
DID YOU STOP TO THINK, DO NOT CHASTISE AND ELDER, OR TO COMMENT SOMETHING COMPLIMENTARY SO THAT WE WILL CONTINUE TO EDIFY THOSE WHO DO NOT KNOW THE WORD YET. ARE YOU COMMENCING ON PREACHING THE WORD OF GOD?
Hey Antonio I am a big fan of yours., I am from India. My sister is getting married on August 14th. On this event, I would like to wear a blazer with a great fitting! I am a big dark and my height is in 5'6'', with a nice physique(due to my workouts). What tips you can give to this Indian brother? what are the do'es and dont's while wearing my blazer or suite? Hope you got the info needed. Thanks in advance.
Talk about luck finding this video, I'm heading to a rural wedding 20 miles out of Green Bay.

im 19 years old and i hate suits. Could i wear a nice dress shirt and slacks with suspenders and a tie with glasses?
Suits and Tuxedos make you look like a G, never forget that. Yeah some are uncomfortable but you gotta take the pain, for the girlys.
