Mustafa is the most capable amongst the princes. He is the wisest as well. However it's understandable that suleiman didnt choose him because mustafa showed "his power" much too early which made suleiman afraid that mistafa would rebel against him. As for hurrem, she would of course not want mustafa now matter how good he was as she was so mad that mehmed was killed by mustafa's allies and the rest of her sons would be killed as well
The first Hurren seems more in love with Suieleman as a protagonis. They have more connection as a couple . The last Hurren is more fribula and calculadora, but she is a great protagonis. She played in " Mother" a novel , she was the mother of Firuzi. Welcome Hurren . We are happy that you were alive.

They didn't have to recast and could have given her a couple weeks off but the people behind the show were greedy and just recast her with an abduction/time jump. It would have been better if they just gave her time off.

And also Hürrem. Both Mustafa and Bayezid coveted the throne and had their rebellious and spoiled side wanting to become a sultan and rule, because both Mustafa and Bayezid thought highly of themselves after growing up. Hürrem couldn’t help much to control Bayezid character. Selim didn’t like fights, because like Hürrem said he was peaceful and innocent like Mehmed. Selim was humble, generous, merciful and benevolent. During the duel with Bayezid, he won, and Bayezid wasn’t pleased with that and trying to say Selim cheated, which he did not. During the dinner he takes the blame and gives the victory to Bayezid.
Selim will be easy to manipulate. Not a threat to his father or his mother. Mustafa was very independent.Thus , he is a threat. Selim is a bad Sultan and weakens the empire.

I would say she's plenty traumatized if you take into account this new Hurrem is a lot more subdued and calculating. Original Hurrem was full of passion and emotion while the older one acts like she's lived a 100 years. I don't think Hatice had it in her to truly kill, so from the little bit we saw of someone putting food down next to Hurrem makes me think she was simply held captive. She just wanted them to hurt, it's not easy mourning a person you don't know is dead or alive. Hatice may have been bitter and full of rage and pain, but she wasn't as much of a killer as the other sultanas.

That trauma of not knowing how long she will be alive made her lose passion and loving smiles, girly giggles etc. She became more ruthless to survive and take revenge. All of the surviving princes, while they have their virtues, have issues which make them less than ideal for the throne. Mustafa inherited Ibrahim’s entitled arrogance, making foolish choices just to show off (that whole mess with Helena was so he can overawe her with his title because she didn’t think he was all that). Selim is a lost cause. Beyazid is too temperamental and immature. Mehmet was the most suited to the throne. He’s trusting and pure-hearted like the Sultan. If he had been protected better, with someone experienced like Bali Bey, Rustem or Hurrem with him, they’d have seen through Ilyas and Mehmet would have been a wonderful Sultan.

Okay, when did the story become Mustafa vs Hurrem Sultan?!?!?! Hurrem has only wanted to protect her children, I hate how the show turned her into the monster. Mustafa was a traitor who wanted to use the Jannaseries to overthrow his aging father. He caused his own downfall, there's no evidence that's shows Hurrem and Rustem set Mustafa up. I get this makes great tv but it also takes away from the beauty of Hurrem and Sultan Suleiman's love story. The show could've continued on without making Hurrem the Evil Monster out to kill Mustafa. because if you watch what i'm watching Mustafa causes his own downfall, he caused his father to doubt him and continues to do such up to his execution.
Seems to me that Hurrem seriously underestimated Selim's ambition and desire for the throne. She wanted Selim to be a stand-in and just gracefully step back when his brother is more mature. Her gamble didn't pay off. I can understand that she didn't want Mustafa in the crown province but her maternal love kept her from seeing her son's true character. Rüsten and Selim's sister were much better judges of character.

At the end of episode 103 Hurrem reappeared. But episode 104 begins years after her return with no explanation as to what happened to those years between. I can't imagine the regular viewers back then were happy. I know I was disappointed.

Gulfem is my comedy relief in this series. She doesnt have a backbone. All she does is agree with every sultana that keeps her around. And what ends up happening is when she finally doesnt have anyone who does she end up supporting, Hurrem at the end. I guess thats how she survives throughout. But wasnt Gulfem really close to Hurrem in real life? Idk if its true but in one of the shorts i saw that spoke about Gulfem said that she was Hurrems closes friend.

Cecilia’s story definitely mirrors Hurrem’s start at the harem. Both were slaves determined to go home and not be part of this new world, both quickly identify the way to stay alive is to be a favorite, both felt betrayed by a friend, and both are intelligent.

Watching from the Philippines 🇵🇭 Hurrem Sultana the younger version was full of love to Suleyman,Mhirimam the best version of Hurrem ❤ this puts me on zombie mode hahaha cant stop watching, episodes 1 to 90 very interesting,.kudos to the whole cast and artists,.Suleyman is a very good actor,.no need to talk just the expression of his eyes.

Okay, when did the story become Mustafa vs Hurrem Sultan?!?!?! Hurrem has only wanted to protect her children, I hate how the show turned her into the monster. Mustafa was a traitor who wanted to use the Jannaseries to overthrow his aging father. He caused his own downfall, there's no evidence that's shows Hurrem and Rustem set Mustafa up. I get this makes great tv but it also takes away from the beauty of Hurrem and Sultan Suleiman's love story. The show could've continued on without making Hurrem the Evil Monster out to kill Mustafa. because if you watch what i'm watching Mustafa causes his own downfall, he caused his father to doubt him and continues to do such up to his execution.
Seems to me that Hurrem seriously underestimated Selim's ambition and desire for the throne. She wanted Selim to be a stand-in and just gracefully step back when his brother is more mature. Her gamble didn't pay off. I can understand that she didn't want Mustafa in the crown province but her maternal love kept her from seeing her son's true character. Rüsten and Selim's sister were much better judges of character.
Under ottoman law the future should kill all his brothers and male children that why hurem a son of ours on the throne

I dont understand how Mahidevrans Main Kalfa (i forgot her name) that she brought with her years ago from the Harem is aging faster than she is. It just doesn't make sence the girl is like Ten-twenty years younger than her.

At the end of episode 103 Hurrem reappeared. But episode 104 begins years after her return with no explanation as to what happened to those years between. I can't imagine the regular viewers back then were happy. I know I was disappointed.
They have to speed the history because all these years nothing really happened now when things will happen Mustapha will do many mistakes and he will die at the end so do you want the series to have 1000 episodes for u to be happy
If only Mustafa was given the throne, the entire Ottoman history would have been different today! He was the best choice in terms of a future emperor and would have taken the Ottoman empire to new heights! Sad that Suleiman saw him more as a competition than as a great ruler for generations to be proud of. Alas! the most incompent son Selim was chosen.

The new hurrem's eyes are so very lacking of emotions as opposed to the young hurrem's eyes which "can speak". The mature hurrem is also short of body gestures and facial expressions. I rarely catch her emotions in her voice , facial expressions and body gestures

He should not be liable for her actions...anyway, he has stopped listening to her for a long time ago. He doesn't get poisoned by Mahidevran. He can see for himself the open antagonism Hurrem. and Rustem. have for him. He loved his siblings. He doesn't deserve any of it...very obvious that as the other princes grew up Suleiman just wanted to find any excuse to discard Mustafa.. He probably wanted a son of Hurem. to inherit the throne as much as Hurrem. herself.

Gulfem is my comedy relief in this series. She doesnt have a backbone. All she does is agree with every sultana that keeps her around. And what ends up happening is when she finally doesnt have anyone who does she end up supporting, Hurrem at the end. I guess thats how she survives throughout. But wasnt Gulfem really close to Hurrem in real life? Idk if its true but in one of the shorts i saw that spoke about Gulfem said that she was Hurrems closes friend.
