Very informative video. TY. If/when you get a chance, and if you've used/tested any, I'd be interested to hear which of the "import" comms (Baofeng, Radtel, Retevis, Talkpod... portable, mobile) you would choose as alternative to the public safety grade comms (Motorola, Icom, Kenwood, Harris...). ATB !
Great video, thanks for sharing your expertise :) Random nitpick, but those pings for topic highlights are *really* loud w.r.t. the rest of the audio mix. I thought my headset was broken..
Thank you for the comment, and glad you enjoy the content. Sorry about that…. I don’t know why it didn’t come through as loud on my editing software, but going back and listening to it on TH-cam, I defiantly hear what you are saying!
So is there a specific form used to write on? With increasing potential for civil unrest it might be helpful to have a form. Where do I get the specific form?
GOOGLE "military 9 line" or "AARL Radio-gram" form. Both are available ONLINE. BTW, in your scenario, it'll be rare, if ever, that military air assets will be handling civilian air evac cases.

Great video, and especially relevant these days.
I've been breathing smoky air all day due to wildfires - sigh...
Appreciate it sir.... stay vigilant and safe..... I'm assuming you are in SoCal?
@@RANTStrategies Thank you. Actually, I'm in the outskirts of NYC where we've had several smoky days/nights this year.
@ do you or your neighbors have any sort of comms plan established?
