    Thank you for leaving this video up, the instructions said nothing about pulling the sticks up and down on the controller when the drone lights are flashing to connect the 2 and for the life of me I would've never figured out that was all I needed to do.
    All of the instructions that came with it were so confusing, This was a huge help!

    A quick tip for anyone who has just got one of these. SET THE TRIM. mine flew up, up, and away. I've just spent the last hour wandering through the fields in the dark looking for mine.
    The up and down control worked fine. It flew up into the sky perfectly, then just drifted away into the distance. The forward and back control didn't seem to do anything.
    The moral of the story is, fly it at low level, and make sure all is good, before you take to the sky.

    • @leerupprecht9072
      @leerupprecht9072 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      how to set the trim? please explain thanks

    • @meeekstubbular
      @meeekstubbular 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ha ha I know the feeling had same event yesterday someone saw it falling . But 2 y ago! anyway for anyone reading the control has 4 arrows 2 vertical and 2 horrz ...but i can tell you it does little in the wind . What you actually have to do is before taking off is pull down both lever S E (down to the right) to... forgot the word but reset it right. then you can play with the arrows trim (full trim will repeat fast beep yet in windy condition it won't do much )
      I meant 'to calibrate it' As for the trim ... How to adjust it with the wind? I don't think you'll get it right as one way it'd be perhaps ok then coming back with the wind it'd be far too much.

    I watched every review on this drone because it's my first drone. This review was the best and most in depth, well done! One thing that no one mentions, which for the beginner is important is the Wifi: 2.4 GH is 802.11 b/g/n and the phone Android 4.3 or higher. Most 4G phones have this.

    • @multy622002
      @multy622002 3 ปีที่แล้ว

Till you my hero showed how simple the controls were, granted you used grown up descriptions on a certain few things but I’ll catch on to what “thing-a-ma-dingie” does what.

      This drone really S__ks Bad, One tiny little bit of wind and it gets blown away. The video recorded upside down. the GPS is terrible and it will break easy. You'll be running all around picking it up from a crash. I don't suggest anyone purchase this crappy drone. What a nightmare

    Great instructional video. You quelled my confusion about how to calibrate the gyro and your demonstration of using the controller with a cell phone will help me bunches because the app loses my thumbs as I slide them around on my phone, causing me to crash the machine. I would suggest securing the SD Card with a small piece of cellophane tape as I lost one when I crashed the drone. IMHO this little machine is the ONE to learn on. Using the prop guards without painting them before use with fluorescent paint will save losing them like I have. The prop replacement is a venture into aggravation because the parts are very small-the project took me back to my younger years when I was a hydraulic mechanic on F-4 & F-15 fighters...LoL.

      Soon after I committed to buying one, had ordered and paid for it, I foolishly had a bit more of an in depth research of it, and discovered they are absolute crap. Since that post a year ago I have hardly used it and have only just recently got my step son to check it out and he has managed to get it flying. It was pretty inexpensive, so I just wrote if off to experience. I've pretty well lost interest now anyway

      So many such things get you going for a while then one looses interest for various reasons ! I guess when my dies again or get lost it'd probably be the end of 'Drones' for me. If you don't have a real need for one it can be a very expensive hobby too!

      That's basically what happened to me too. When I finally got it (it took forever) I had a hell of a job flying it in any sort of breeze, crashed it a few times, then put it away for about eight months and forgot about it. Just recently, my stepson asked about it, so I dug it out but couldn't get it to do anything. He got it going, but had the same problem with the wind. Some of the advertising videos for them are very misleading, showing it doing all sorts of cool stuff. It was marketed as a "Dronex Pro" but some of the reviews say it is simply branded to LOOK like a Mavic. It's still at his place and I haven't bothered getting it back. Sort of lost interest too, to be honest. Like you, when it finally dies, that will be all for me too. Thankfully, it wasn't an expensive exercise.
      Cheers

      Would you still stand by your words "30% with wind and still"? Not a chance, even 2nd gear it's not enough. And in 3 rd gear watch out if it goes with the wind. 'out of good sight' and you'd probably lose it one way or the other. But with plenty of space like a sport oval it's manageable and fun.

    Fantastic demo and review, the best I have discovered on TH-cam. I just received my Eachine e58 drone and have 7 flights so far. I have not used the app yet as I got a warning that downloading that type of file could harm my phone's security. My drone seems to be missing the receiver for the SD card. Perhaps it fell loose inside the drone. Overall, this is the finest value I have ever gotten in my 66 years of living. I cannot believe the technology in this drone for less than $50. I plan to order at least one more for back up as I plan to fly a lot when warmer weather arrives. I also notice someone selling 1200 mAh batteries that fit the e58 drones. I plan to order a 5 split charger and several more batteries to support my drone squadron. Thanks again for a really great review and tutorial.

    I just got this drone. Your video was just what I needed - perfect. How can you turn the drone and flight back to you? I can flight out - go left and go right, but how do i turn the drone to go back. I have been backing with the drone, but I like to turn and go back to me and have the led lights pointing at me.

    Your review and video are great, I'm feeling slightly miffed that I bought one that is/was advertised in a glossy video ad here on TH-cam via BX Trading and Maxdeals at twice the price of the Banggood site. Just about to find a large field to try it out!

    • @davidkneeland5226
      @davidkneeland5226 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Worst instruction "manual" I have ever seen. Your video really helped me out. Now I can really enjoy flying this little machine. One other thing, I attached the prop guards first thing. The props hit them. So, removed the guards. Why would they give us these things that are too short? The SD card was another thing I was totally unaware of. Now I can use that too. I will obtain more batteries because the fun lasts too short a time when you only have one battery, and charging takes two hours. Such fun! Thank you so much for the very informative review.
