From a stop, c8 leaves it on take off
@ i raced a c7 z06 stock in my c8 z06 yesterday and it was not close at all
@ maybe he started in too high a gear, maybe he missed a gear. Even in equal cars a better driver had an advantage, especially if the c7 is stick. If it’s auto there’s also the downshift pause that can caused a delayed launch, maybe he had bad tires and spin a bit. There’s many reasons
But yeh, I think you were just the better driver
When it comes to roll racing the most important thing is power to weight and they’re about equal.
@@Injectedracing bro we did like 10 races and I even drove the c7 and it’s just not that fast compared to c8 stock vs stock// the video you post were you driving ?
Cap not stock at all lmao
They have almost equal power to weigh rations. So yes, stock. The c8 wins from a dig tho.
@@Injectedracing yeah I've seen that in stats and the c7 has more tourque but that doesn't mean they beat them that easily and I've seen plenty of videos of c7s and c8s and there is no way that c7 is stock to stock c8.
@@yeetimusputimus1985 they have basically identical power to weight ratios. That’s how the race looks and how it’s suppose to look
C8 z06 shud have been made to at-least fender ahead of a C7Z.
Torque is king. The 7 speed walks away from the c8z with even more authority on a roll
5.5L vs 7L, u gotta give credit where credit is due
C7 Z06 is supercharged 6.2L LT4. C6 Z06 is the 7.0L LS7.
@@ghostwrench2292 oh fr? thought they only supercharged the c7 zr1 and kept the 7.0 in the z06
Now slap a supercharger on the c8 and try this again lol
Pretty insane, seems that my 450whp
bolt on stingray C7 will do more damage than this 600whp dct c8z
A c7 Z is about 550 wheel. You shouldn’t be able to hang with it as well as this c8z unless it has a bad driver.
Power to weight on c7 and c8 z06s are about even. Your car is far below both
@@Injectedracing My car is lighter, and dialed in. Plenty of videos to prove what
I'm saying.
Have yet to lose to a C8... whatever can't really tell the differences yet.....C7 for life...
Edit: stock C8😑😑😑
Can the guy in the c8 not drive? If both are stock that c8 z06 should have killed that c7 z06
It’s a roll race not a dig. They have almost identical power to weight ratios. C8 is 3700lbs with 670 horsepower. The c7 is 3500lbs with 650 horsepower. From a dig it’s not that close but from a roll the power to weight make it pretty even
Pretty sure the c8 is an automatic also
Don't forget C7Z makes more torque as well.
@@Quatermain98526 pretty sure that a positive for the c8
@@astiverson2364yep especially because it’s a tremec dct that is much better than a conventional auto
Yeah no the c7 isn’t stock lmao
@@nuts5388 it is. They have almost identical power to weight ratios
From a stop the c8 is faster, from a roll they’re about even as they should be with an even power/weight
It 100% is. A modded one would gap the C8
Ugh..... O.o

Getting beaten by the previous gen is a shame, we dont't care about normally aspirated, the fat pig weight that's the only reason why it is slow in straight line. GM had no money for carbon fiber tub like Mclaren, they all weight 2900-3300lbs. The GM wannabe Ferrari would have been very faster at this weight. 3700lbs LOLOL. The 911 Turbo S lightweight is 3550lbs and AWD. You pay for what you get!
It’s the track aero on the C8 that makes it slower in this type of race. Just like the GT3 beats the GT3RS and the GT4RS in a roll race. For this type of race, weight doesn’t have a significant impact, it mainly affects low end acceleration.
C6Z06 with h/c and tune would walk both of them
The C8 ZO6 is more than half a second faster to 60 than the C7 ZO6. The C7 isn't stock or the C8 ain't running right. The C8 is faster than this. The stingray is almost as fast as the C7 ZO6.
@@djs3484 you’re confused. half a second faster from a dig. Superior traction and launch control …. A roll is a whole different story.
They have near equal power to weight ratios and from a roll it’s a close match
The c8 is probably the ugliest corvette made
I’m trying to argue with you but I just cannot. It’s also the only Corvette that you can’t get with 3 pedals. 😕
