Uhhhh.....no.......roll racing at this speed speed is about right. The Hellcat had more power under the curve in every gear...as a corvette fan this is exactly the result expected....

Downshifting the car and getting into the right gear and getting traction is huge. Also, the hellcat is making more power. You must not know the difference between a roll race and drag race. I know how to drive my car.

Anything under 45-50mph I will spin if I gun it. Good races, the Hellcat definitely holds its own against a flat out supercar.👍
Honestly man I can't do a 40 but I tried my best. Anything under 50 I was spinning bad but it was just for fun man! We both had so much fun!
Get some sticky tires and do a brake conversion in the rear so you can fit a 15 inch rim on the back giving more side wall after uou modify this becomes needed to hook on the street or at the track especially modified. In either case if you do this its required to do a burn out first then you can hook no issue from a 40. The tire acts as a spring per say storing recoiled energy from the tq which allows the suspention to dig it catches the surface better as ots a softer compound the only down fall is if its raining your screwed and in the higher speeds you got to spec the right tire for safety but typically the ideal tire for the street is a 15 hoosier if you dig race roll raxing you can get by with sometging else like a 17 inch rim on the back no break conversion with a mickey or sometging and hook up to i would say 850-900 ish. But for a street car no mods i would think a toyo r888r would hook fine from a 40 no?

People, please race your hellats in SPORT MODE. Sport mode traction control isn't aggressive as track mode. Track mode is for a circle course track, which a lot of us dont even go to lol

is no drivermod. That C8Z driver prolly using paddles wanting to be drivermod shifting early instead of letting the car do its thing.

Just keep it in sport mode and just down shift with the paddle and the car will shift on its own.
Sport mode on a hellcat is better than track.
I was just responding to your comment. It’s how I read it most hellcat drivers when they race don’t downshift or have in sport mode.

I wanna see a zero to 150MPH race between these two cars.
Had a lot of fun in my 02 WB Hellcat and pushed serious triple digit speeds, on the regular! The spliter on the front of the wide body is 100% functional and comes into play above 150mph. The car is a legit 200 mph, straight line car, which is insane! It was truly my midlife crisis 😊

The Z06 looks and sounds so great. Best supercar bargain around. Z06 is crazy quick from dig 2.5 /10.5. Z06 is naturally aspirated flat plane crank 5.5. Animal. No turbo needed 🏆

It looks like when you both start evenly, the z06 is slightly quicker until you hit higher speeds. .They are also notorious for the 5th gear "wall" that plagued C7 automatics as well. Would be interesting to see what technique he was using for roll racing. Some of the runs seemed like he's in too high of a gear.. that engine makes no torque/power down low.. either way, great runs!
Everybody wants all this power that you can’t even put down to the ground. The vette would walk that thing in a drag race.

He did mention the absolute key. Tires. A hellcat needs a tire. Most people losing races in Hellcats are simply spinning. I have a C7 ZO6 and it’s the same story. Spend your money on tires.
You ain't lying! I see alot of videos of Hellcats racing on all seasons! 😂😂😂 I'm like how you gonna race on an all season tire?! I swapped from a Pirelli P Zero to a Michellin Pilot Sport 4S on my F10 M5 and it made a WORLD of difference!!
Exactly tires will make a difference 100% of the time. Even in slower cars the tires make a big difference.

You need a tune bad brother. I have the same car same 717 challenger. I picked up 7mph trap speed at the track with a 93 only tune. Im full tuned now on E85. Still completely stock except for injectors and boost a pump, and the car traps even higher now. Still looks completely stock.
Eventually I'll get a tune man but I still have a warranty for another 20k miles. After my supercharger bearings failed it kinda opened my eyes haha! Sweet car you got man! 🤝👍

Yeah yeah yeah ...add some turns. Z06 is 38+ seconds faster on Nürburgring for a reason.

Nice runs, but I'm never really impressed by apples and oranges type races.
Its literally easy to make any car fast in a straight line..just throw a lot of power at it.
U-drag races are definitely more interesting because they incorporate braking and cornering.

I mean we're talking NA vs forced induction that has a great deal more weight. I'm actually quite happy with the c8 z06 punching that high. When its bigger brother drops with the twin turbos then it would be quite different but so would the price differential by am even larger margin as zr1 prices will be en route to the moon notwithstanding another round of adm drama.
Good runs to see and my favorite part was when it was admitted that the mopar was not taking the corner that fast... They each got their things just gotta pick the one ypu fancy best. For me its 8600rpm for sure. You had stated his car was brand new... Sure hope he got through the first 500 miles breaking it in before rolling it that hard... I'm sure he did...
This just proved how superior the Z06 is. The hellcat needs a rolling 60 to compete.

@ I played with one over here once, not much room but I kept up well. If we had space though….. I was starting in 2nd around 50mph so probably had the initial gear advantage on him. He’d have gapped me on an open road. Sounded insane.
I think that same 5.5 is going in the new zr1 with two turbos added. Not 100% but I think so.

Honestly, No, more weight and less aerodynamic. These cars are already heavy, I just feel like the widebody is too bulky. 👍
The 5th and 6th race were the best and fair races. I think the vette would be and sound better with the same trans thats in the R8.

Those Z06 engines dont make a lot of torque,turbo or supercharge them and they come alive.

305/35/20 NT555 R2 I have around 5 to 6k miles it's a good tire when it's hot out but not in this weather haha.

I just don't think sports cars should be big cars that's why I wouldn't buy a Hellcat. I like the zl1 Camaro they handled so much better
This is me personally, but I can't stand real racing. If your car can't hook up and get going from the start, it's not worth a crap in a real race. Almost every time I raised in my Corvette, it's been from a stoplight with someone trying to see if they're faster.

100k plus spent on a Vette that can barely get by a Cat thats basically stock? C5 base 6sp LS1 with a pro charger/Vortech blower, proper fuel set up, and tire, all else stock, no heads, no cam, no longtubes, runs both of these over in a roll for wayyyyyyyyy less spent. Just sayin.
