Just bought my PRX powermatic with the ice blue waffle dial I own 25 Watches and it’s literally the only Watch that I get great comments on when I wear it because of the color of the waffle dial and the same color strap I put on it to match It turns heads whenever I wear It hats off to Tissot
I think a point that you missed is that the carbon PRX comes with an upgraded movement. Most peoples complaints with the PRX was that the movement had plastic parts in it and would make the piece cheaper and not as long lasting. But now with the upgraded ETA movement there’s no difference between a PRX and a Tissot gentleman other than the looks.
I have been wearing my forged carbon for a few weeks now. What the photos online don't show is that the carbon crystalline flecks in the dial have an organic (shifting) shimmer that constantly changes depending on the angle of light hitting it. You find yourself easily enthralled by it. I'd liken it more to a meteorite dial. It's worth every penny. As for the future, I'd like to see the PRX in a rectangular or square version like a Bell and Ross. I believe it would do well.
I have the forged carbon and photos do not do it justice. It’s way better in person and surprisingly it fits smaller than 40.5. Honestly doesn’t feel like just another prx in their catalog.

Well, Tissot has been offering the Sideral in a magnificent carbon case for years now in the same price category. Check out the blue Sideral, it is wild. The learnings from that watch were translated into this PRX version. I have been wearing my steel PRX on original rubber straps and they are great. So I am expecting this carbon version to be one of the most comfortable ones they make.
My watch was purchased 2 years ago from MAMACOO and, to this day, it still looks and runs as well as it did the day it arrived. That movement has never missed a beat despite never having been serviced. I can't complain about that.
My favorite 2024 is the Prospex Limited Edition 1965 Recreation European Exclusive in Gradation Island Blue. The dial is stunning and the contrast when on a white strap is to die for. I will get my hands on one from AMZWATCH
As my watch knowledge and collection has grown over the years, it has become difficult for me to have many higher end pieces (3-8K for me) sitting in the watch box, unworn, as wrist time is limited. I find myself more interested lower point watches (200-1.5k for me) that might bring a vintage vibe, a style I don't normally gravitate towards, spec monsters at the price point, or some color/whimsy in design. Since they aren't insanely expensive (again, all relative to the person) , I feel better about having them in the collection for variety despite limited wrist time.
Tissot/Swatch Group have really done an excellent job of fleshing the PRX line out. I could see titanium models at some point, maybe some more gradient variants. I would love to see a fully lumed waffle dial Powermatic model, not just a quartz flat dial variant.

We're seeing great new products across their whole range, from the Moonswatch and PRX, through the excellent Spirit and Master releases from Longines, up to the latest Omega Speedmasters and Aqua Terras. I own an Omega Aqua Terra as well as a Hamilton Khaki Field and a quartz PRX. They all spark joy when I wear them.
It's sad that watches that look good cost over 1k+. MAMACOO watches are REALLY well made, and it just shows how a brand name on a watch can make its price 10x higher. I understand that if you look under a microscope, you'll find the difference, but just how many of you really inspect a watch at that level when you see someone with a watch?

Maybe Tissot could give some of this variation to the Gentleman. More dial colors and textures with a 36mm option it auto and quartz

Okay, not quite under £1000, as it is £1,100, but the Christopher Ward Colchester is always worth a look when considering carbon cased watches.

PRX sucks. Very cheap, poor finish. For the price, just get a seiko or Casio.
Only affordable forged carbon watch other than this that I'm aware of is the Tempest microbrand dive watch.
