I like this. Do you know if there are other bloom colors of cross vine? Where I would put in my garden is against a brick wall, that is brownish Orange in color, so Tangerine Beauty would not pop in my situation
@@billrutledge2441 this is the only color for Crossvine that I am aware of. The green foliage would look beautiful against the brick, but yes I agree the color of the blooms may blend in!
It's stunning! I added 2 crossvines to my garden last fall and I can't wait until mine grow huge. I just love love seeing this plant. Your trellises and the way you grow the crossvine up them, it's beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing this info with us about a truly wonderful vine.
@@GrowRoots23 That's great to hear! We just got some rain finally, after some drought, so that could help as well. I don't know if it grows where you live, but Carolina Jessamine is a nice vine, too! I'm in East Tennessee for reference. I don't get a ton of blooms on my Jessamine vine yet, but the foliage is pretty. Thought if you needed another vine, you could look into it.
@@awildapproach yes!! I have neighbors that have Carolina Jessamine, and it's great! It's evergreen here in North Texas, and blooms pretty well in spring. I have even seen someone put up a short fence, let it grow, and it looks like a yellow flowering shrub! They do great here.
Thank you for your video. I saw one at the nursery but was not sure what it was. I am getting one for sure. Where did you get the trellis and what height do you recommend? Thank you
I'm so glad this video helped!! My husband made the trellis for each of mine, but they are about 10 feet high by 2.5 feet wide. I'd recommend something at least that tall, they grow fast!
My husband made these! I believe he got sheets of 8x4 diamond trellis (unframed), and he bought the wood to frame them and put them on 4x4 posts that he cemented in to the ground. I could be totally wrong about that, but that's my understanding of how he made them! LOL! We also stained them ourselves. If I had to do it over again, I would have stained it white or black.
Tangerine Beauty Crossvine is very similar to Trumpet Vine, but different. You have a great eye!! Trumpet Vine is invasive in our area, but Crossvine is not!
I'm definitely gonna get some of these beauties. 8b as well in North Texas here🌱🌻🌱
You're going to LOVE it Joyce!!

This made my day, and thank you!! Don't worry, if your Crossvine performs like mine, next growing season it will LEAP!! It truly is the best vine!

@@GrowRoots23 Good to hear. Happy Gardening!
This looks so beautiful! Did you plant it right into the ground?
It IS such a beautiful plant, thank you! ❤️ Yes, there are 4 of them planted straight into the ground. 😊

So pretty! I love the gorgeous colors!
@@GrowRoots23 ya.i think here in my area as well.i dont have trumpet vine in my garden.
I just got one. San Antonio TX Zone 9a. I'm wondering if I put up against my fence will it grow up over into neighbors side?
@@MissPiggyLilly it definitely could! You could prune it back to prevent it if you would like! Your neighbor might love the free plant though! 😃
