- Collect plant spores from Killer Croc's Lair.
- Gain access to Killer Croc's Lair via Intensive Treatment.

We can all agree that the scariest part was when the screen froze and we all thought the game was broken, Rocksteady certainly knows how to pull a fast one on us
As soon as Batman coughed i knew it was a Scarecrow encounter. Also you could hear gas coming out of the grates.

I'll never forget this scarecrow part my brother actually thought his game was messed up and restarted it three times. When he figured it was part of the game he showed it to me and I have always admired the genius behind this. This Batman still is my favorite of the series. I just had such a blast playing this and finding all the secrets.
"Batman may be escaping patient" instead of "Hitchikers may be escaping patients" nice attention on details Rocksteady (0:43)

No it just rocksteady did a prank glitch part in the game.awesome rocksteady when I first played this part I thought my game broke and I nearly pee on myself.
Honestly, I think this is one of my only criticisms for this particular playthrough. That whole death scene makes Batman emerging from the grave all the more surprising if you have actually died in previous parts of the game. Those previous restarts after death actually give this subversion essential context: when you die, you press retry and are spawned where you were before you died. Then I pressed retry with this, and it was a real surprise when instead he burst out of a grave.
Now here, where the guy has obviously NOT died, the whole surprise of this scene is lost.
Side note: I think this is the first time where a gameplay walkthrough showing no deaths has actually counted AGAINST its quality.

@@speedking7224 Not really. Joker's first origin story from 1951 portrays him as a criminal known as "the Red Hood", who jumps into a vat of chemicals to escape Batman. The acids turn him into Joker. The Killing Joke, considered by many to be the best Joker origin story, reused that same story, but depicted him as a failed comedian rather than a crime boss.
one of the most clever part in any game i've ever played. damn forth wall trick thought my ps3 crashed lol this is why the scarecrow parts are my favourite sections of the arkham series

Honestly, I wish Scarecrow appeared in more Batman TV media.
Cause so far, I've only seen this guy in Batman the Animated Series, and Arkham Asylum(as of this reply).
Although I think he also appears in Batman Begins? But other than that, IDK?

@@TheNewYorker7899 I just love his concept. A guy dressed in stitched up rags, and uses fear toxins on his victims, making them see their worst fears.
Also NGL, I hated the Scarecrow stages, since it was so frustrating to not get caught in his light beams. Plus, I too thought my game broke upon seeing the frozen game screen with broken pixels.
@@nine_tails137 Oh dude. You’ve gotta re-watch Batman Begins, if you don’t remember it. Cillian Murphy did an incredible job as Scarecrow. Scarecrow is my favorite Batman Villain as well.
@@emartin86 I recently watched Batman Begins on Netflix, and while the movie was great, Scarecrow's costume felt lazy. Just Crane putting on a stitched cloth mask, and nothing else. Like, go all out with his costume! Seriously!
Also, minor nitpick, they mispronounced Ra's Al Ghul's name as "Raws" instead of "Raish".

Yeah I startex playing Batman: Arkham Asylum like 5 Years Ago and still play it to this day however wanted to see the comments on this one scene becausd it's funny
I think this is the only encounter, in the brief moment of sanity before the Scarecrow boss battle, that we see Crane's eyes. Gotta' say; Scarface's speech sent chills up my spine. We all know the real reason why Killer Croc's beds are empty. Ewwww!
P.S. Scarecrow is a sick fuck with no empathy, plain and simple.

I was scared so much, telling my father that the PlayStation is "broken". I even thought somebody hacked into the game, reset everything and altered the cutscenes.

Scarecrow goes through the trouble of concocting all these elaborate drug-induced nightmares to try and scare Batman and nine times out of ten gets no reaction out of him.

This is the best walk through ever. I love this game, but so far - this has definitely been the most challenging chapter
When I got to this part, I was so puzzled on what was happening!
I am so glad that was part of the video, I'm watching this on a computer i built and i was like "OH MY GOD PLEASE TELL EM I DIDN'T PLUG SOMETHING IN WRONG!!!!!!" i even checked my graphics card and the CPU fan to make sure it wasn't over heating or something.

When I played arkham asylum on my dad's friend's ps3 I was playing on his save, and I got to this part and was terrified that I reset his progress, good job rocksteady

Scarecrow is alot crazier than I think.
He does in some instances (e.g. in "Gotham Knight"), but well, gotta keep the game fresh. ;) Plus Scarecrow has shown other means to get his poison into his victims.
