I loved watching them .....I was really young but I loved them !! Always wanted to see what she was wearing .....I THINK SHE IS SO BEAUTIFUL !! I loved Sonny also, and Chasity !!
Sadly, variety shows like Sonny and Cher are no more. I remember back to getting ready to watch these types of shows as an evening event. Nobody seems to be able to command such a show anymore. Sonny and Cher, Carol Burnett, etc....all special in their own time.

You must be confessed, that's a natural little girl named Chastity. At that time there was no such person named "Chaz".

I REALLY enjoy watching them, the interplay between the two of them makes even the simplest things funny.
I am glad they are showing these great shows (reruns) GETTV on Dish Network. Glen Campbell, Cher, Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour, Flip Wilson, etc. Love these old shows.

After watching a few clips from Carol Burnette, Flip Wilson, Sonny and Cher and the like, I found myself wondering why we still don't have these types of shows on any more. Then it dawned on me: We don't have any people entertaining enough and talented enough to hold such a show together for a single hour - not to mention doing so every week. Also with the short attention span of the modern TV viewer, a four or five minute skit would be too long to focus on.
You didn't mention Hee Haw that was one of my favorites.

Because now all comedy on tv has to have sex jokes that are inappropriate for the whole family. It's sickening. This was a more innocent time.

Is it just me, or were their openings more elaborate after they got divorced?
This show is before the divorce. Any clip that has the Sonny & Cher heads on the orange globes are the Comedy Hour. After they came back in 1976-77 to do the Sonny & Cher Show, they walked out separately between columns onto the stage. The last season of the Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour, they would have Chastity climb onto the cartoon train & then that night's guests would be shown on the train. They would also have a couple of mini skits during the opening song.
I think Cher looked much better like she did here, before she had all of the plastic surgery's she had. She changed everything on her face now and she kind of ruined it. Perfect body tho..... Always loved her, and her wildness.

Really? She's gotten her acne scars fixed, a tummy tuck, and a boob job-- AND botox. I saw her many years ago and also a few years back. She looks so different!! Google a full body photo --2016. Looks like she did something to her eyes too. I'll call her.
Rod I think she looks great but I agree about the lips + now she has new teeth. I think they look terrible. There was nothing wrong with her old teeth. That affects her face but she still looks awesome.

@candy cane God doesn't assign us a sex, he or she (either way) assigns us a soul. When we die our soul remains the same. The inside doesn't change with sex reassignment surgery, the outside does. That's the whole point of why it shouldn't freaking matter if Chaz wants to present as male.

They weren't together by that time, Cher wasn't wearing her wedding ring anymore but in the end of the vid she was, probably to keep the "family" image. It might have been a difficult and awkward time, regardless of how good their dynamics were still.

Sonny never claimed or wanted to be a singer. He was a song writer and a producer. He discovered and was living with Cher and pushed HER to sing recognizing her talent but she refused to go into the recording studio or on stage without him. Was shy and had terrible stage fright. But people loved them together. He wrote most of their songs and stuff on their show and produced it.
