It is interesting to me about pinning versus not pinning. I think those of us who started sewing clothing rather than quilts, really feel more comfortable using pins. I try to skip that step sometimes, but it is usually disastrous! So, I'll keep on pinning!
I love both of these quilts, and especially your detailed tutorial! Lots of information but straight to the point - not extra unneeded conversation. I have a LOT of charm packs, so you're inspiring me!
I love your charm series as much as I loved your 2 1/2” strip series! You always come up with 2 very beautiful options! It’s always nice to see patterns done in different color ways! I’ve learned so much from watching your videos! Thank you for sharing your time and visions!❤ I have become a pinner over time because I really don’t enjoy unpicking my seams and it really helps a lot for accuracy!❤
I just love how you always present your quilts in different color ways. Very helpful to your audience. I’ve learned so much from your videos. Thanks KC
Please square up your half square triangles so that they are the same size. They will go together much easier and you might get to keep the seam ripper in the drawer....😊!
Thank you so much. This went together like a dream. I didn't have charm squares, but that didn't stop me. Made in Christmas fabric, I have used it to decorated my little office and it brightens things up wonderfully. All the best 😍
Thank you so much for your videos. You are such a great teacher! I am really enjoying your videos working through your stash! Lots of inspiration. This is great content. I know how much time is involved in creating this quality so special thanks!
I am so happy that you sewed that extra line so you can use those other half square triangles in a future project. It drives me crazy when some creators don't and then they're cutting off those extra triangles with a scissors so the cut is all crooked and more difficult to sew later.
Absolutely LOVE this video!!! I do wish you would make a video or 2 showing how to do some of the things you talk about, like the smaller piece in the center of your border. For those of us who need to see, hear and read how to do things. LOL
Both quilts came out so cute! Thank you for your videos. You have no idea. I "watched" twice. I've been so sick and have had so much difficulty falling asleep (coughing). When I went to bed, I saw your video and knew your voice (so sweet) would put me straight to sleep :). I did not make it past your fabric selections I think. I enjoyed your video again this am in a much different way. I am not saying you are the cure for insomnia...but saying you are a very relaxing and comforting companion on a long night. OooH! that may be worse. Oh well, it is meant as the highest compliment. Lol.
Wow. I love the charm pack border! So cute. I have never done half square triangles. I hope to get the courage! There are definitely beautiful patterns with them
I love both quilts. And the borders and backing tips are terrific. Love Me and My Sister fabrics. And charm packs gives you a little of each in the collection.
Beautiful quilts, but I think your Christmas version is my favorite. I cracked up laughing at your charm pack update increasing rather than decreasing, its a struggle for me as well. Loving this series! Thank you for sharing your time and talents with us.
I enjoy your videos using scraps or pre-cuts. At the outset of the video I would like to see a picture of the completed quilt top so I know how the steps in cutting and sewing are leading to the finished design.
Both stars are gorgeous! You used a lot of charm packs from your collection. I was impressed You really got creative with the borders and the backings. I cannot wait for your next charm pack adventure! Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🦃🦃
You should consider changing your "addiction" to 10" squares/layer cakes-you can always cut them into charm packs (4 per layer cake!). Then you have the option of bigger quilts, more variety of patterns, as well as saving $$.😊
Cute quilts. Did I miss something or how did you get those charm squares at 5 inches to match those half square triangles at 4.5? I didn't notice you trimming anything down.
Yes! Definitely use those 52 charm packs for more amazing videos! ❤

I always pin, I get better precision with pins. I also use the acorn press glue to help hold things in place.
Love these quilts - the borders you put on them were really great!! Thanks!
Literally my favorite quilting series on TH-cam. Thank you for taking the time to put this content together. :)
I love both of these quilts, and especially your detailed tutorial! Lots of information but straight to the point - not extra unneeded conversation. I have a LOT of charm packs, so you're inspiring me!
I usually prefer one quilt over the other when you do two versions; but I really like both of these gorgeous quilts! Thank you, Shelly.

I love both of those. I may have to make a few, if I have time, before Christmas gets here.
I’m always glad to see a new video in this series or the 2.5” series.
So fun. I always like that you do two color ways too! ❤

It must be so difficult to resist having more personal fabric when you own a fabric store. 52 charm packs seems like a very reasonable amount 😂
🤣🤣🤣
I DON’T own a fabric store, and I have over 40… 🫣🤭😁
It’s okay - they don’t spoil!😉
Love the Christmas version
Beautiful! 😍😍😍 Thank you for sharing. 😊🦃🍊🍁🍃🍂

Thx!
52 charm packet seems reasonable... There maybe a fabric emergency and you have supplies if there is.😂
🤓👍
The pieced backings are adorable. I usually have a hard time with my backings being a bit crooked. How do you get them to be so perfect? ❤
❤❤
❤❤❤❤
How do you get your fabric folded so perfectly that you don’t get a wobble at the fold? I try and try but it is never quite right
Mine wobble too
Lots of practice
I’m so happy I found your channel, I like to pick up charm packs when I can find them under $7.
Cute quilts. Did I miss something or how did you get those charm squares at 5 inches to match those half square triangles at 4.5? I didn't notice you trimming anything down.
Very nice with clear instructions. Thanks for sharing. What brand of rulers did you use?
Creative grids. I think there's a link in the description
