About Sanford And Son: The highest-rated half-hour series in NBC history at the time, Sanford and Son stars Redd Foxx as the cantankerous sexagenarian Fred Sanford and Demond Wilson as his son Lamont, also his business partner in the family junk-dealing business. To prevent his son from leaving home, and bent on having things his own way in general, Fred often calls upon such ruses as fake heart attacks or phony back ailments. Lamont usually sees through these subterfuges, but because he loves his father, he lets him think he's getting his way.

This is one the rarest moments of Esther and Fred agreeing with each other
Didn't last long though. 😂
@lxxyxz FRED & ESTHER were only protecting ELIZABETHS` honor. Nuthing more.
It was a glorious two minutes. 😂
Yeah dat is true, but it was funny while it lasted
"SEE HOW HE LYING...THE ROOM OFF THE KITCHEN WAS MY ROOM"
When Aunt Esther said that I was done. 😆😂
Me too
@@malford9991 😂
That was hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeah right🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The reaction from the audience and the realization of what really happened is hysterical.
LaWanda Page and Redd Foxx had such chemistry. Hilarious.
So glad Redd threatened to quit the show if they didn't hire her. They were great friends back to their earliest comedy days in the 1940s.
I had no idea. Aunt Esther was much better than aunt Ethel. But they didn't introduce aunt Esther until season 2 right?
aunty Esther had an Affair, with a strange man who came in? woo
Actually, Redd Foxx, LaWanda Page, and Sonny Jim Gaines (Big Money Grip) were all good friends.
@@johnpauljones9310 look up
ashley says so lawanda page
There’s a whole thing abut her
Esther was so busy trying to prove Elizabeth was innocent and boy oh boy🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lmao well she sure did prove Elizabeth was innocent 🤣🤣
Esther wanted the truth until she couldn't handle the truth 🤣🤣🤣
the look on her face when Fred said Grip was in her room was priceless.
What is crazy is that Esther allowed someone who.sneeked in her room at night to just shall I say "Have his way with her.
Apparently, it was dark, but I mean, did either her or grip say anything ? He just came in the room, and they done it?
No questions ask? Don't know who you are doing it with?
Aren’t we ALL like that? Just wait til the day of judgement when REALITY will finally hit MANY peoples with THE TRUTH!!😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱6/19/2023. 🎺🎺🎺🎺✝️🌺👍🏾
G'd is disgusted by smug, irrelevant, self-righteous Christians. Including you.
Right
Esther absolutely crushed this scene 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
LaWanda Page was gold. ❤
I love when Fred and Esther team up! Just priceless!
An extremely RARE case too!
Aunt Esther steals the show& my Heart!
They both loved Elizabeth.
Grip: Did you use to sleep with big curlers in your hair Esther: I don't want to hear anymore of this
😂
I was crying..🤣😂
Ol' Grip was gripping on Esther😂😂😂!!!
This is by far one of the best episodes......Esther is at her best!!!!!!
Not only did this show have outstanding writers, they had outstanding actors to bring what was written to life. For the ones who have gone on, R.I.P. 9/6/2022
Absolutely!!
Fred was smart to have Esther go up against Grip. Say what you want about Fred, Esther would never let anyone say something negative about her sister. Or Lamont.
I agree!! Whenever Fred wanted someone taken care of, he called Esther. Their comedic interactions are still legendary!! I love this show!!
And I loved old Esther for that, and at the end of the day, she wouldn't let anyone mess with Fred, either, if it came down to it.
Not Aunt Esther giving up the cookie!!!!!🤣🤣🤣🍪
😂😂😂😂
En esta no one ever
Her legs really were like peanut butter!
This scene was just toooooo funny 🤣🤣🤣. Aunt Esther and Grip?!!? Even Lamont was like, "her"?? 🤣
@2:04 Redd Foxx almost broke character. He had a split-second laugh that he held back.
Oh Lord Aunt Esther was with big money grip!! Lmao !! The truth done set Esther free lol
Ms. Page should have won an EMMY for this episode.....
Poor Grip he was traumatised for life 🤣🤣🤣🤣
To be fair, Discount Morgan Freeman was feeling rapey for Elizabeth so…KARMA
This is one of my favorite scenes, " You don't know the difference between a woman and a crocodile"! 🤣
ROFL 🤣
The best one of all love it.
@@ethelgill2431 Agree the Best a woman and a crocodile 😂
@@oreally8605 T
That line has been edited out of the episode running on TVone.
Fred: "Don't tell no lie cause the lie can find you dead, that's red." 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
THAT'S 'FRED'! Not Red
Actually it’s both 🤣
@Dutch3k5 True but not what was said
Sound like he said red 🤷🏾♂️
@thefreakyrobber9571 Yeah if you listen close you can hear him say that's Fred
I remember watching this episode in the early 70s. We were all laughing until I fell outta the chair. 50 yrs later, Esther & Fred, together on the same side, is still funnnnnnnny now in 2024. Almost all the cast has passed on!
I always laughed how he was repulsed at the idea of being with Esther like he was some great catch
Right.
Exactly 😂🤣🤣
And earlier in the episode he asked who this lovely lady was 🤣
@@LaKellita Mhm clearly full of crap Lol.
This was one of the funniest episodes of all time!!!!🤣
Fred: That's a lie.
Esther: Oh wait a minute Fred I will handle it we'll soon find out. Which one was Elizabeth room chum?
Big Money Grip: It was the room off the kitchen.
Esther: See how he lying the room off kitchen was my room.
LaWanda Paige was a brilliant comedic actress.
Esther really should have quit while she was ahead
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Right !! 😆😆
But Esther is so DOMINANT she decided she had to stop Grip from leaving and "handle it." Well, when the truth came out she didn't want to hear it & she was suddenly ready to leave. You're so right about Esther quitting while she was ahead.😁😁 Awesome show !!
But if she hadn't, Grip would have continued the lie about Elizabeth. Esther uncovered the truth, and stopped Grip's lie. And she knew Jesus, so she knew she was also forgiven.
@@johnshelton6434 you're right..I never looked at it that way
Yep🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
ROTFL!
Lawanda Page was such a talented actress!
You could see her and Fred always trying not to crack up when they were playing off one another
See how he lying 🤣 Esther throws her hands on her ears I don't want to hear any of this anymore. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Priceless!!!!!!
It must've been lousy if Esther completely forgot about it. Grip did nothing in that bedroom that night! 😂
judging by her reaction she clearly remembered that night.
Ooooooh, looks like Esther wasn't so much of a saint like she said she was. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I remember this episode. It was hilarious like so many of the Sanford and Son episodes. No one could preach and shout like Aunt Esther. I loved this character. She was strong and had no problem putting people in their place, including Fred. But, Aunt Esther also had a good and kind heart. RIP funny lady. ❤
I loved it when Fred and Aunt Esther joined forces to protect their family.
Aunt Esther and those scriptures!!! Lmao 🤣
Poor Grip. The only thing that the 'truth' did for him was make him sick!
Comedy Gold! Top of the Pile and will never be surpassed. Thank you for uploading 🔥🔥
Ester quoting a scripture justifying her actions with Grip😅😅
Doesn't surprise me Esther had a sinful side during her young years! Wow, she let dudes climb in her window to get some! 😂
* shudders
Right! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I know, right? I mean, she didn't even know who it was.. LoL😅
And apparently, she didn't care on the flip side grip he couldn't tell the difference even in the dark (which obviously it had to have been) between Esther and Elizabeth there had to be some difference. No one said a word. I guess he just done it and left.
@@connerhuston2613 🤔 hmmmmmmm. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
@@connerhuston2613nope she just got some anonymous bbc, lol
You don't know the difference between a woman and a crocodile.🤣😂
Grip had a different grip. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
It's funny how Fred and Esther hated one another but would pull together when necessary!
1:10 SEE HOW HE LYING... THAT WAS MYYYY ROOOM.
I think that was the one statement, by Aunt Esther, that got the longest & loudest laugh from the audience in the show’s history.....”the room off the kitchen was MY room”. Hahahahahaha. 6/19/2023. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👌🏾
😂😂😂 'Esther. I think Grip was in your ROOM!'
"See how he lyin?" 💀
Lawanda Page served this scene❤❤❤
My favorite episode! 😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂Sonny Jim Gaines (Grip), trying not to laugh when she said it was her room...hilarious!
Man Esther cover her hears because she know it's the truth.
A lie can find you dead that's Fred...😂🤣
Big Money you done picked the wrong room chief, next time turn the light on.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 RIGHT !!!
BEST TO (AT LEAST !!) "SEE" WHO YOU'RE WITH BEFORE YOU PROCEED WITH THINGS.
Definitely the best episode of this show.
Agreed. I saw it when it first aired (1974?) and never forgot it.
@@user-tf3qi2wg8j same bro.
I used to watch it every week,
This is the funniest of all time
Lol. You dont know the difference between a woman and a crocodile. 😅😂😂
"Aunt Esther...and Grip?" *shivers*
Never too old for some Sandford and Son.😂😂😂
One of favorites. I’m still rolling. Aunt Esther and Griff, yuck. Haha.
Grip got him some Esther
Esther must have put "Super Glue" on her head, to keep her wig on!
That gives new meaning to the words" Bumping uglies"😬
GRIP AND ESTHER?!?!!? Oh my god lmfao!!!
No matter whatever Fred and Esther went through they will always there for each other
I was a little girl when this episode aired! My how time flies.
Esther and Fred...I sure miss how funny they were...bless them..
@2:23 -- I like the way Lamont shook his head.
It not only was a good fit for the insanity he just witnessed, but I suspect it was also due to him shaking off a laugh that he was trying to hold back.
About fell off the couch laughing…
Amen! Hallelujah! She is no longer blind and can now see 😂. Alright Aunt Esther, I see you! 🤭
you cant find comedic timing like this anymore
We were ALL waiting for this one…
Best show to grow up with…so classic!
Probably couldn't do it now.
Everybody was shaking and trembling when they thought about Gripp and Esther together.
First Gripp did it after thinking about it, then Fred and Lamont both did it. I guess she wasn't on anyone's list at the time. That's ok though, Esther still ended up pulling Woody... even though he was a drunk.
@@antoniogreen4557 Lol Maybe... but there were plenty of times on the show when he wasn't drunk, and was sober.
@@antoniogreen4557 Yeah... it's one of the better episodes, but most of the better ones were in the first 3 seasons anyway.
Esther probably had good vajj
Go see you much love 😘

I caught that, maybe it was Grip heading off stage?

I think that was Gripps character exiting off stage
The best episode ever!!
They are all talking about Aunt Esther's looks, but I saw pictures of Lawanda Page when she was younger, and she had a smokin hot body.
Yep, she was fit and kept it together.
Yes indeed!
And she showed it off, too. In real life, I mean.
She was also really pretty 😍
One of the funniest episodes ever
Thank Goodness I was able to see this on its first run, in high school when this episode played. I am still crying, it's so damn Funny!
Esther. You better stroll out that door quoting scripture...WHOO!!!😂😂😂
😂😂 boyyy ppl think it’s funny when Fred & Ester argue, but when they team up it’s absolutely hilarious!
Love at 1:54 Grip looked like he was about to throw up something serious LMAO!
Sometimes the only thing worse than a question… is an answer
Sounds like Aunt Esther wanted to FORGET a hot hookup she had one night that came to HER room. lol
Was that Griff running from the background? It was on sceen 3:14.
Esther and Fred Wow!!!
When she covered her ears I lost it!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😅😅😅😅😅🤣🤣🤣
Big Money Grip slept with Aunt Esther instead of Elizabeth
😄 (lol) “ It’s SO funny how the whole scenario changed when Everyone present realized that Griff was with Aunt Esther. You could even see Fred’s entire stance change afterwards. ”
"That was my room!!" Aunt Esther.
Rare case of Fred and Esther teaming up together WITH AN EPIC ENDING; ironic how Esther pushed for the truth; even more ironic how epic that very truth she pushed for so much BACKFIRED on HER!
My favorite episode!!!!!!!!
I like when Ester said WHAT YOU SAY N--
Damn grip near sighted 😂
Classic 70’s Sanford & Son 🎬 the funniest 😂 😅🤣👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This is funny 😄🤣🤣🤣
They just do NOT make comedies like they used to. There is nothing today that touches this.
Aunt Esther was giving Big Money Grip the holy peanut butter cookie 😂😂
I always wondered why Fred wanted to hear the details of his sworn enemy gettin busy? 😣😆
My favorite clip from my favorite episode. I am still laughing.
