My condenser dryer had a few more screws under the side panel and my issue was the capacitor but you helped me immensely with how to get to it!! Thanks heaps for sharing!!
I had a driven pulley on the back of my dryer under a plastic cover causing a bad noise on my dh8060p3. So not the belt drive for the drum as shown but a shaft out the opposite end of the motor and out the back of the dryer for something else - across to the heat pump maybe? I don't know... but the pulley nut was just a bit loose. Tightened and it fixed it. This helped a ton though, thank you. The noise in my dryer was 3-4x louder with the issue and I could see where the plastic driven pulley had been leaving dust from wearing. Just a spring washer in there...
Thanks for the vid! The squealing noise has stopped after spraying the bearing below the pulley wheel with WD40. What is this bearing that is below the pulley wheel and in that yellowish plastic part connected to the motor. And would it likely be the busted part?
hi man, love your video. My dryer got this beeping noise as it drying the machine, it will get the job done but it just keep beeping as it drying, is there anything i can do to fix it? thanks a lot in advance 👍
Great video! Do you have a video where you show what is under the rear plastic cover that goes over the rear drive shaft out of the motor to the rear fan? I've pulled mine apart and between waiting for parts to arrive I've forgotten where the brass collar goes :s
Thanks so much for this vid. Is there a washer or anything that goes on before the pulley? Because mine keeps grinding and we can't figure out why! HELP
I have a brand new fisher & paykel de6060m2 and it won’t spin do you have any clue what could be causing that I can’t see anything that could be stopping it from spinning it screeches when it’s on like it wants to spin and I can’t spin the drum at all
Is there a certain way the pulley needs to be put in? One I ordered from F&P spares has a blue dot on it. I have replaced this pulley already, it lasted 3 loads of drying and broke. I have just ordered another to swap it out again, but there is no instruction on what the blue dot means
@@askmrwashywashy both drum wheels are fine. I'm thinking it could be the belt but it was intact still when the new idle pulley broke but lookong worn after 6 or so years. So I have a replacement coming. I can't see anything else that would cause the new pulley to break so quickly
Hi Mr Washy Washy, is it possible to send you an audio or video of the noise my F&P is making during spin review and if you can advise if its normal or perhaps guide me on what the noise may be from? Thank you very much
Hi mate, I have the same dryer and mine isn’t spinning when I turn it on, I opened it and the belt and capacitor is still good, I noticed the drain pump is making a sound, could that be it or would it be the motor?
I just pulled mine apart. The front guides have shred. Also the dryer doesn't heat at all. I Reset the thermal switch and still does no produce heat. Could it be anything else other than the the heater needs replacing?
@@Big_Boulders great. How is the idler pulley ? sometimes it fails along with the guides. If you do the timed dry cycle and it give you an error code you will need a new heater
Hello, can you please tell me what error code E4 Means? The dyer doesn't heat and I called and they told me there is not heating element you can replace. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
Hiyee thanks for reaching out . Error 4 is the heating element that needs to be reset. You need to remove the back cover. Should be about 8-10 screws back there. It’s the black / grey felt cover there. You press the button and that will reset it. Usually you need to clean out the condenser filter part of the dryer. Bottom left hand corner . Unlatch the two blue locking mechanisms and clean that filter. Use a garden hose and spray it (outside the dryer) error 4 is the dryer sensing that air is not flowing right so the thermostat trips. It will reset when you press the button on the heating element. If the error comes up again you’d need to buy a new heating element

@@99kath99 hi Thanks for providing that info. How long have you had it ? Most of the info I’ve given you applies to your drier too. However heat pump dryers don’t have heating elements. So in your case im thinking you need to clean out the lint in the dryer and also the sensor at the front might be obstructed by lint so it’s not sensing properly. You would need to remove the small lint filter where you open the door and remove any lint in there. If you shine a torch in there you can see the little metal sensor poking out like a needle.
