As someone who studied music and ended up in a metal band, I wouldn't be surprised if he was pushing to try and get the guys to do an entire album with orchestra backing at some point. And he absolutely would've been jamming to this along with him

Scott Pingel is a beast and perfectly executed this song. I saw this live and was wearing my Burton to live is to die shirt. When they announced this song, I swear I've never been more excited in my life. Eventually I couldn't hold my emotions in and I had tears rolling down my face for at least half of this performance. Cliff was one of the reasons I became a huge Metallica fan and this is one song I just never expected to hear live. They say money can't buy happiness but I am beyond happy I got to hear this live.

This is what music is. Taking a well written piece of music and Giving the Upmost Honor to the Original Creator. Cliff inspired many people to pick up the bass. This gentleman picked up a Cello and is one with his Instrument. He has played my favorite Bass Solos of all time.

the entire s&m2 was a emotional rollercoaster for me, i have never cried so much at a metallica show like i did at this one, it was that emotional and special for me.

Plus, wonderfully relaxed with my morning plant ritual... 💜🔥🖤 Today I shall learn this on my bass guitar. 🥰🎸 Cliff was a monster when it came to that instrument, and this will always be an opus! This whole piece is incredible but from 4:30 on... Holy wow.
