    Great video as ever. Even if my enjoyment of this kind of British upland scenery has been definitively ruined by learning about how it's maintained in this state (rather than the patchwork of woodland, heather and bog it should be). The "Forest of Bowland" sign with the Hen Harrier on it is particularly ironic, given that in just the last year, two dozen Harriers have "gone missing" from areas on or near shooting estates in the Pennines.

    • @JethroJessop
      @JethroJessop  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh god yeah, it is far from natural beauty. It's definitely beautiful but is almost entirely the work of human hands.
      Hard to find true unspoiled wilderness anywhere let alone the UK

    I’m sure like me, your Koffe supporters are just happy to see another Jethro video; particularly as you soldier on along a difficult route in less than ideal weather. We don’t need to see our names every video, we just hope to help keep your adventures going and the videos coming as you can.

    Well done Jethro. Great fun, some challenging trails there? The bike is well up to it though, it would seem? I use a gravel bike with ‘drop’ handle bars. It’s bomb proof too, just lacks the handling you get on a mtb style bike. You don’t seem to do any catering? When you stop, don’t you put a brew on, enjoy a snack ? Cheese and biscuits ( my fav)? Maybe? Do you ever cook a supper meal. Other than boil water for a dehydrated packet meal.

    • @JethroJessop
      @JethroJessop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I feel like I had the perfect bike for this ride as it really did throw in everything from tarmac to swamp. I wouldn't have changed anything in my setup except I maybe packed a bit too much food.
      If I'm camping I rarely cook anything very exciting - rice, couscous, veg, that kind of thing. But i rarely pass up an opportunity to stop and eat in cafes and pubs etc
