    HBSP is amazing. We rented an RV and it was our home last September. We're already planning our next visit but can't for a couple more years. it was the quietest campground I ever stayed at. It was like staying at a hotel on the beach. The beach was a three minute walk from our front door. I got to hear the sound of the ocean all night. And smell that wonderful beach smell. The sunrises and sunsets were amazing too. Can't wait to go back again.

      Sounds like an amazing time! It's one of our favorite places here as locals!

    Beautiful! I’ve only been to Murrells Inlet once, but didn’t visit this park. We took a Captain Dick’s charter. That was about twenty five years ago. I still have the coffee mug I bought from their gift shop.
    Thanks for the great content.

    Hello Carmen and Brian! This is a great video. I didn’t realize what all is at this park. Seeing the alligators makes me think of growing up in Sarasota Fl and I cringe just a bit when I see how close they could be to pedestrians walking their dogs. I remember hearing of dogs getting snatched by gators while being walked by bodies of water. You may not see them but if they’re hungry, they definitely see you AND your dog. Please be careful. They can lunge an incredible leap! Take care!

      Glad you enjoyed the video! Yes they are definitely something not to be casual about.

    That's a beautiful park, I've never been to it, and I have to admit I would be a little nervous walking along that walk where the alligators come up 😁

      Well you can easily skip that walk and just look while you're driving in! It's always good to be aware anywhere in that park though. That's not the only spot we've seen them.

    Hi again Carmen and Brian! Carmen, you briefly mentioned the bugs on the trail. We were there mid-September 2023. The bugs on the beach weren't bad at all except for one day. The little black flies were horrible. They hurt to the point I thought they'd start drawing blood. Deep Woods Off had no effect. I just gave up and went back to our RV. What do you locals recommend for those horrible black flies?

      I wish I knew, they are terrible! I've tried a ton of different bug sprays and none work against them and they will even bite through clothes so wearing long sleeves and long pants doesn't really help much maybe a little. 😟

    What age is considered senior for the park? 60, 65?

    • @CarmenandBrian
      @CarmenandBrian  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It's usually 65, but I would look it up on their website to be sure.

    Carmen and Brian!
    Why were there so many alligators at that location?
    Is that area known for alligators?
    I don’t wanna sound stupid.
    But I never seen so many alligator sightings before I just want to be safe going there at that location if I ever went there

    • @CarmenandBrian
      @CarmenandBrian  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes there are a lot of alligators there, just keep an eye out!

      @@CarmenandBrian yeah I know you said there are, but why are there so many there at that particular area of South Carolina?

    • @CarmenandBrian
      @CarmenandBrian  วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Low human population density in that general area would be my guess.
