Huntington Beach State Park Tour! | Things to Do Near Myrtle Beach

- We take you on a full tour of the Huntington Beach State Park in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, just a short drive south of Myrtle Beach, SC. The Huntington Beach State park has a lot to offer including gorgeous beaches, a jetty with great fishing, hiking trails, marsh walks, a nature center with live animal exhibits, RV camping, tent camping, and the very special Atalaya Castle ruins! We give some history of the park and a tour of the castle as well! Plus this beach has some of the best shell hunting in the area! We go over pricing and give a lot of tips for your visit. Huntington is a great park. One visit , I decided to walk (when I could walk, now rely on a mobilty scooter)drom the Nature center to the beach. a lot further then I thought
Yes! I think that trail is 2.4 miles! We walked it recently and I too was surprised by the length.

I finally watched this video. WOW those shells were amazing! I've kayaked in the marsh as part of tour groups on three separate trips but never went to the beach part of the park . Thanks for the tour!

Beautiful area! I love all the marshes. I'll have to make this one of the places I visit when I'm in town in October. Do you all ever go down to Georgetown? I have been thinking of checking that little town out and didn't know if it was worth spending a night or 2 there or just making it a day trip. Thanks for the awesome videos!

You mentioned the sea shells... I"m wondering if there Is there a good spot to find sea glass? I'll be there for 3 weeks in March.
I’ve been coming here most of my life even before we moved here, and have never found any sea glass. I’m not saying it doesn’t exist hear, but it must not be very common.
In Huntington state park is their a place where you can avoid the alligators Ty. I am interested in the birds 😊
There are a few elevated viewing areas to see the birds like little docks.

Are there restrooms in or near the Nature Center?
Yes in the same building.
Where have alligators been seen in the Myrtle Beach area so I know to avoid those areas! Ha!
They can be anywhere in this area but I've seen them mostly at Huntington Beach State Park, but I've never seen one on the beach there. They are usually in the marshes. They can go on the beach but that's a very rare event.
Call me we’re in Myrtle Beach right now we want to borrow Barbara and Wednesday I had a great time we ate at Paula deans it was so delicious and we’re going to Broadway tomorrow night again
