Today I bring you with me on a motorbike tour around the beautiful island of Phuket. Let me show you how is Karon beach and Kata beach.

I met that Indian shop owner when I was there last December. I was staying at a place in Kata and would go swimming every morning on the beach in Karon. His shop and the restaurant across the way were the only places open for business at the time. I'd sit and eat a late breakfast and chat with him. He was very talkative. Non-stop! Nice guy. He runs that shop with his Thai wife, and they live in a two-bedroom apartment above the store with their two boys. Business was so slow, he offered to drive me to Rawai just to make a little extra money. Good to see he's doing okay!
Thanks for all the information over the last 2 1/2 years, it got me into Phuket twice,,so now fully open, I'll be there in November 🙏🇹🇭😎

Thanks for sharing! Been in Thailand for about 10 years now with friends, this year I've been in Bangkok, twice, once before the re-opeing and once after (just a few weeks ago) but Phuket is my favorite place, mostly Karon and Kata. I have watched a number of these videos, thanks for making them! And it's still sad to see some of my favorite places closed - sure its off-season now but I agree with you, some might not open again. Can be difficult when some of the owners had to leave Phuket, and perhaps even Thailand. Millions of TBH lost and meanwhile in Europe everything is back to normal with crazy airports. First time it took literally 5 min to go brought immigration and the covid-checkpoint and last time about 10 minutes.

Lovely memories of Kata beach, we have been to Phuket many times and this is our favourite beach. We have seen it change over the many years we have been going to Thailand.
Here in the U.K. we are experiencing very high prices of just about everything, with our cost of living going up day by day, so I doubt many people will be able to come to Thailand. They will be struggling yo pay their bills. Thanks for showing us what we are missing though.
This summer we will be going to Sorrento! We love Thailand, but Europe is cheaper to get to.

October is the monsoon season so please be prepared for storms.
Thanks for showing my fav country and place Phuket. Been there many times and so sad that we couldn’t go when the pandemic happened! Missing Phuket so much and the lovely beaches you’ve shown. So many nice memories ! I hope you could share the other beach like Nai har, rawai and bangtao.. also missing the night markets. Do they still have it ? Hope to see more Phuket videos from you.
We are in Chalong and we’ve noticed things picking up when we go to Kata, Karon or Patong. We have some Canadian friends who want to go to the Kata beach festival to see some surfing. We’ll definitely be checking that out.

When you come to India hire Royal Enfield Himalayan bike, not Bullet. Recent model Himalayan bikes are more comfortable than Bullets. Especially if someone sit on rear seat.

Gabi who would you recommend for renting a motorbike from? I ride a BMW R1250GS at home and would much prefer to rent a bike rather than a scooter when we go

I had planned on Phuket at the end of this month but the inflation is absurd. Flights from California to SE asia are usually 7-800. It was almost 1300. And all the sitting (pet or children) is up 30-40% :(

Karon beach is more beautiful than Kata (which is also beautiful). Patong has a busy night life and so many tourists. Party vibe.

Hi can you drive a motorbike with a standard driving licence and still be insured by providers if an accident were to take place ?
is PCR still required for non-vax to enter Bangkok from the US? a lot of sites give conflicting info. some say no, some say yes.. seems like the yes answers are referencing info from last year, but no answers are aware that testing for all is no longer required since april. there's even official sites that conflict their own updates. july said no longer required for everyone, august said no longer required for the vax'd, weird stuff like that.. so which is it? planning to depart in october.
Yes it's required, but they seem not to be asking the majority of visitors to present their test results.
