I can't believe that Germany finally decided to take such a huge risk after those endless generic pop songs about unhappy love or something else 2014 - 2017! They're already in the final, no one semi final can stop them! They put here such a great deep message (I really can't remember any other Eurovision song about haters and how we need to react to them, maybe it's even the first one!), smart lyrics, and I can't believe that music video was home-made by himself. And this melody... Cyprus put together so many different parts? No! Germany - ukulele parts, that post-chorus, some cabaret moments, foot-tapping moments, just wow! So entertaining
Yesterday Jendrik said on a talk show that winning is not important at all. He radiated an infinite amount of positive energy in the conversation. I'm very excited about the live performance. Great video, thank you!
I'm German and sometimes I feel we can literally send anything and Germans will hate on it regardless. I'm really tired of the hatefulness, so I really appreciate that Jendrik just wants to make everyone smile with a fun and positive song. 😊
I don't think it's a winning song but I honestly don't care who wins anyways, I just want to enjoy some music from all over Europe (& beyond).

He has written the song, but he did not produce the song! It was produced by a professional music producer called Christoph Oswald. It's so strange that everyone thinks he produced this himself...

Jendrik made this video all by himself together with his family and friends. You will love or hate it to death .....there is nothing in the middle. This song will stand out and will polarize for sure and the people will talk about it. Well done Germany. The live staging will be created by the same guys from Lithuania who do the staging for The Roop.
It took 5 days or 1 week I think to film it and then they had 4 days to edit for apply for the pre-selection.

YESSS! The song is musically a mess but I love the ukulele and trumpet sections - it's just feel good and an enjoyable 3 minutes. It's either gonna be top 5 in the televote or last with 0 points but either way, I will be singing along on 22 May!

I am a big fan of yours. You are the best Eurovision reactors because you are always so natural and honest and realistic on all participants regardless from which country the song comes from. I really appreciate that. Much better than wiwibloggs. They always seem to have their favorite countries... For example Sweden no matter which generic pop song Sweden brings year after year. BTW I think I was the 20000th subscriber.... 🙈

the problem with such songs is you can hear it a few times and then u get tired of it. its like a joke- u laugh at the first time but then u dont wanna hear it twice. but anyway its great for diversity at the contest- and also it has a great message which you shouldnt miss besides all the fun in the video.
We are still very much enjoying it! It picks us up every time we hear it!

I don't think this is a winner, and I prefer last year's entry, but it's a good positive song with a great message :) It won't be Eurovision without at least one song with a message!

The good thing about Germany is that you never know what you get. Strangely some of my favourite songs which also had a lot of staying quality didn't do that well in the voting. Sorry for the No Angels, though. That performance sucked.
You should take the time to watch Eliza fully. It's a great song, just not ideal for Eurovision.
Love the message, and Jendrik seems like a really nice guy with a lot of positive energy to share! That being said...what a dumpster fire of a song! Ukulele, brass, weird 90's breakdown, tap dance routine, fast unintelligible lyrics...Jesus...it's too much. It's so confusing and all over the place, I need Ritalin just to make it though this. It is so overpoweringly annoying that it will probably do really well...

Man ist der Song schlecht, den Text (der super ein soll) kann man nicht verstehen und die Stimme ist einfach absolut normal. Es hilft nicht, politisch korrekt, einen Song zu schreiben in dem keine Kompetenz oder musikalisches Geschick steckt, um bei einem interantionalem Songkontest zu gewinnen. Das zeigt mal wieder wie dumm es ist mit PC (political correctness) Erfolg haben zu wollen.
Ich finde es ist ein richtiger gute Laune song der eindeutig darauf abzielt sich abzuheben und nicht zu gewinnen aber Deutschland hätte so oder so nicht gewonnen :D
