This is why kendrick is the best ever by a margin in my opinion. The scope of sounds and genres he can cover while staying original and even outdoing those inspirations is insane.
the last 30 seconds feels so fuckin powerful that it actually puts a knot in my throat and makes me emotional, it feels triumphant, I went through a lot this year and finding this leak has helped me. songs in normal rotation for me.
"I ain't gotta say that I'm 'bout to move different. So I can move different." He is free to do whatever he wants to do because he hasn't talked shit and told people what he will do, so he isn't restrained by "what he said he will do." Ain't no one can tell him "But you said you'll do this", he just does it.
Especially for someone like me who found him because the Kendrick and Drake beef reaction videos were fun to watch while I was working, I’m not a rap fan but his breakdowns are a poets dream!
Everyone/Everything is goin through a crazy shift in every way.. Some for the better some for the worse, I hope nothing but greatness to everyone trying. 💪💪
777 in numerology is about manifesting, prioritizing personal development, and the like. He does the same with 444 in Not Like Us about him being protected.
I love to song. Never really knew much about Kendrick and not really into Drake but the beef made me check out Kendrick and i'm a fan now. Drake is to pop music for me.
I legitimately did not realize exactly how much I've missed this level of incredible musical artistry until this whole "Kendrick Lamar vs. Drake" battle has played out. I have always been able to appreciate modern artists for their skills but it just hasn't been my thing since mumble rap hit the scene. Bringing back old school rap with a modern flair has been a breath of fresh air for so many of us. I grew up in LA, I was blocks away when Biggie was shot. It was drilled into me as a child that I could not wear specific colors or walk on specific sides of the street. This sudden resurgence of quality music and brilliant lyricism has been missed so much that I don't even have the words to express it. I feel like a part of me has been healed in some way, and I'm so grateful for it.
this is for the hood and the world music.. kendrick would never put something out unpolished so he was asked by someone to do this, it was just before drake (don't quote me,) but it dropped after the killshot. and this was the best unplanned, planned, song that's really prophetic, and simplicity in complexity is Devine.
The beat alone is enough. The “T4, blood, check levels” is fire 🔥… I have grave’s disease and have to control my T4 levels Edited to add: you’ll do great at that festival Knox!!
Something that is always said about Wu Tang is how deep they roll. 40+ bruhs at all times kinda thing. I would think K-Dot is talking about how deep his angels roll.
Rolling on sevens can also be a turnaround for Drake's line when he said how you big stepping with size seven ..... ..... Kendrick's telling he's a high end legend rollin on 7
The original version features sampha on the chorus, with the "im better" refrain acting as a pre-chorus. And yes this was before Not like is this was leaked nearly 2 years ago
“Better” and “Makes Me Happy” are the best unreleased Dot records right now. The latter should’ve been on Morale or DAMN. whichever era it was created but would’ve been a hit single off Morale.
The piano seems like an echo of the keyboard sounding track mixed into the synth. That slone is a lot to read into, to go from a "fake" piano to a real one in the end.
So the theory I have is kendrick might of had channeled that energy from I'm better into "they not like us" cause if you go back to the heart part series you'll remember "yall got until April the 7th to get your shit together" Cole apologized April 7th, mentions 1,2,3,4,5 (in not like us 1,2,3,45+5), paranormal vibes (euphoria ghost, 6 : 16 in La talking like drake and do you have a mole in your camp making drake get paranoid like a ghost is watching him, meet the graphms i had a theory if you go back to section 80 and listen to it with comparison to the mother line you'll see what i mean), this song, i think even back during mr morale is drake showed up when he was on tour during mr morale for those who remember that and kendrick is saying it this energy and feeling he was giving off is not like us its different its impactful. but thats just my theory
so Finally after that I'm better comes at the end of Mr morale as saying his soul has "healed", he has gotten better mentality, this energy is soaring, i believe this would be the final song of the album as it would show he felt good saying what he had to say

Why does that piano sound so perfect where it’s placed? This was just some intergalactic beat right there!
I am Better, I am Better , I am Better 🗣🔥

It’s an old unreleased song from Mr.Moral n the big steppers….
Probably a continuation from N95 song
this is from 2020 or something
I caught that 'Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!Ha!' he used for the opening of the not like us video here
When KDot drops his next album, Knox might have an aneurysm trying to break it down
Knox will be fine, every other reactor will have an aneurysm
I'm Better ft Sampha is just beautiful, Sampha sings with so much feeling it touches you.
"I ain't gotta say that I'm 'bout to move different. So I can move different."
He is free to do whatever he wants to do because he hasn't talked shit and told people what he will do, so he isn't restrained by "what he said he will do." Ain't no one can tell him "But you said you'll do this", he just does it.
This song fells like a well deserved victory lap.
It's definitely a chant...like a mantra
Hell yeah, I have been listening to this one non-stop
Knox Hill is THE GOAT of bar breakdown channels. No, screw that, he's The Shepherd of bar breakdown channels. He herds the goats 🐐
Especially for someone like me who found him because the Kendrick and Drake beef reaction videos were fun to watch while I was working, I’m not a rap fan but his breakdowns are a poets dream!
@@flowatress same here found him because of the beef and hes the best at breaking stuff down

A bruh your lyrical breakdowns are unparalleled to any who do it in that space. Love your work man keep going.
You are absolutely amazing on your breakdowns, keep up the good work 👍 K-DOT keeps you thinking 🤔 the beats and lyrics always 🔥🔥
T4 is also a form you need from your employer to pay taxes in Canada!
😂
He got a whole drum line for the beat.
Love him and his music since young
I really need this song to be officially released cause I want to add it to my mental health playlist

This song is hot .. different.. unique .. production is amazing -. Flows ..on flows on flows

Classic Kendrick to drop unreleased and unmastered heat. This album we’re going to get is insane.
I wish he’d official release this one
Day 3 still waiting on the work up looking for the 🥦 song
Day 77 for me 💀

Theres a version with Sampha doing a hook and outro . Super fire
The transition from looking for the broccoli to this or vise versa would be insane idc if it’s leaked throw it on the album!!
I never knew it was possible to rap on a Tame Impala track before 😭😭😭😭😭 These are tears of joy.
Was waiting for this.
You should do Kendrick Lamar-Best Rapper Under 25

T4 is the "growth" hormone. Song goes much harder when you know that.

When it comes down to breaking down bars, Knox Hill be singing "I'm better I'm better I'm better!

Who made this beat because it’s 🔥 fire 🔥 fire 🔥 fire 🔥 and of course the lyrics and flow are genius
That beat is is all over the place, messy AF. I love it.
That beat goes INSANE
“How you big stepping on size 7s”
“Rollin on 7s on a regular,now I don’t think you ready for the revolution that I bring “ -🤔
If he could actually drop this it’d be awesome
The beat is recorded backwards or inverse. All the instruments are inverse of what they would normally be.
Listen closely. You’re welcome 🤯
Hope everything’s good at mom’s house. Glad to see you back in your element at home bro.

From 8:45 onwards it’s sounds like a slower version of the sample used for parts of “Like that”
