Finally someone understands that this isn’t entirely a Drake dis! It may be an extension of Kendrick’s hate for him, but it’s not about Drake since he’s more of a representation of what he hates about everyone within the industry AND the community, I feel he’s just angry/disappointed with those kind of people having platforms cause they have no self-respect/morals-they’re just greedy and insecure.
It's not at all towards him in the sense that he's talking to everyone. Including him.
@@da9564 I agree! He’s mad with the supporters of those people too, and like Knox said, it’s kinda like Kendrick is reflecting over the beef-which I imagine it as a scenario where Kendrick is reflecting his decisions while standing over Drake’s grave.
Yep, Drake is nothing more than a cog in the industry machine. Kendrick is fighting against the industry now to deliver a message.
It went over ya head too. Kdot said NUMEROUS TIMES....even On This Same song, that he got love for Drake. He just dont like certain things about him.
Kendrick is talking about the toxic culture that we glorify and the people that push these toxic things & people. The Adam22s...the Adin Ross type people, etc.

No he didn't you've just missing the artists that been keeping it alive
@@TWJCole to radio, yeah. But it was before 2020. He's been having lyricism on the radio since 2012. When they were playing "Alright" amongst absolute trash mumble rap. I remember hearing that song on hip hop radio and thinking, this man is on a whole nother level. The production of the track and his delivery, it just gave me hope. In 2010-11 Eminem was played more on the pop channels, in Chicago, but those singles off recovery were more poppy and polish, made for the average listener. I haven't listened to much hip hop on the radio recently, but I just remembered that time being pivotal for me. I remember where I was and everything. Of course there's plenty of great lyricism and there has been and will be, but not at this level. Besides Cole and weezy. But still, Kendrick has a way of doing it differently. Using other influences than avg hip hop beats and choosing jazz and funk and even tracks like this. This all is why he's top 2 of all time for me.

Lyricism hasn't left rap/hip-hop. Kendrick helped bring it back to the forefront of this genre.

Two things stuck out to me on this song. First was Kendrick stopping the music at 5:04 which would be 504 the area code for New Orleans. Secondly was burn it down and build it up, which is what they did to the twin towers that were hit on 9/11. Dude is so layered it's crazy

This is not a Drake diss track, Kendrick told us that there is no second round. He’s addressing the wickedness of so-called influencers like DJ Akademics, with their lies & narratives.
He dropped right when the VMAs started too, felt significant
The beat is absolutely magical
I love the fact that Kendrick used the old black forces. As watching this video and understanding more how the industry forces certain agenda's, like having new clean shoes yet we all can't afford new ones every week(subconsciously getting us to buy more to feel apart of it but were just pushing our own self away). All the mainstream rappers think they need new whips, clothes, shoes to have an impactful meaning or attention and they go about harmful ways to acquire such things that don't even guarantee happiness or leaving a lasting legacy.
Note that the whispered "die" got a similar intonation to the line about weinstein line in "Meet The Grahams"... the scariest diss track ever ! (to me)
For Kendrick to talk this spiritually and to watch the react community have this heavy conversation about what the music means to us a listeners as a culture and not just an endless pleasure palace... this is how we beat them. This is revolutionary.
How are you like, perhaps the only reactor I've seen who didn't just look at this as "another Drake diss", and actually saw to the indictment of the industry as a whole? Thank you, I feel like the beef really cooked some people's minds when it comes to Dot.

Not only did he play Curry, he's played a top tier rapper for over 15 yrs. He's basically been accused of doing what they did in Get Out. The only difference is it's rap artists' lyrics, personas, flows, styles, etc., that he took

Well said
This song more or less was Jeremiah 23:1-2: “Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of my pasture!” declares the LORD. Therefore this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says to the shepherds who tend my people: “Because you have scattered my flock and driven them away and have not bestowed care on them, I will bestow punishment on you for the evil you have done,” declares the LORD.”
He’s basically calling out EVERYONE in the industry for selling a toxic lifestyle to their own. Drake is just the culmination of all of those ideals in one and is a transplant into the culture. “Always rapping like you trying free the slaves.” Proved he’s not for us. And the machine backs him, so fuck em all and they mama.

Lecrae said that .. who Kendrick mentioned in this song… he actually responded to kendrick and it was beautiful.
He gonna get an award for this man I swear this is ART I wish the industry just give this man his flowers
I think the Airforce 1s represent the shoes that he wore during the beef, they beat up to hell cause they’ve been through war! He is hanging them up cause no round 2. Now he sending a warning shot to the people not with the culture he is trying to build. Love the song and reaction!
Ppl already found an ebay listing for the kicks in the thumbnail. So it’s like he’s done with them putting them up for sale.
The listing was from yesterday as well
King dot 🇿🇦🇺🇸 we got you.
A change is coming and much-needed.
"i want agony" at the end of a ak bar is strong. I heard i want ak-gone-ee. I feel like no one caught this.
Funny how quickly Knox noticed that the song wasn't about Drake specifically, but rather the music industry as a whole, while most of you TH-camrs are just calling it a Drake diss.
There's a reason why why 6:16 is my favourite song from the battle... lit 💯
It's so underrated fo sho
Nah Euphoria the best track
Not like us was f*ckin crazy that's the best diss track
Basically everything was top notch
I was waiting for this video from you.
Let's goooo! I see Knox Hill, I click the vid and that like button!
This is revolutionary and soulful music Kdot is a beast
The Kill Bill sample is just too perfect for this track, it basically ties every verse ❤
This is beautiful yet sinister!
Lots of sadness pouring out too
😂😂😂
Kendrick aint paying noooooooo influencers to speak for him🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿✨️✨️✨️💥💥💥
The way u breakdown lyrics etc is unreal like i could not understand them id listen to the song n they'd go over my head thank you Knox
I feel like I just witnessed him catching a body in plain sight. This is that “American Gangster” feel. He just put the money in the jar. We all are looking out the window of the restaurant in disbelief. I’m completely terrified and excited at the same time.
2pac died September 13th on a Friday…Tomorrow Friday the 13th is about to be crazy😮
Kendrick Lamar is a Lyrical Genius This track is 🔥🔥🔥❤❤❤ The breakdown incredible as always!
This whole beef can be boiled down to soul versus vanity. The argument between doing it as an art form versus a business. It's reallt interesting where KDot is taking this.
I've been waiting on you Knox to translate this for me Ayyyeee let's goooo 💪🔥🚨💙
I've watched all the big music reactors and this guy has broken down the song the best🙌🙌 Keep doing your thing Knox! 🔥
Wonderful breakdown. Probably the best one I have seen!
The Real Heart Part 6. His album is going to burn it all down.
I agree I think if Aubrey hadn't used the name that's what this would be called.
Kendrick right now knows that soooo many eyes are on him. And his popularity has never been so high and people will listen to what he has to say. So he is saying how he feels about so many things and putting it out there for everyone.
