Interesting interview, shame you couldn't interview Mr Graves & Mr Bailey with a lie detector! Might have jogged a few memories 🤔🤠

@@melhubner1881 I have to reserve judgement because I have listened to, but not yet watched the interview. This is a reminder of how important body language and facial expression can be. If you just listened to the interview, nothing overtly comes across as deceptive or dishonest, to my ear at least. But I trust the opinions of those here who are seeing something in his manner. I thought Gary Graves came across as very genuine and sincere. I'll give more feedback after I've been able to watch, and look at it carefully to see what you and others are describing.

Mr. Bailey sure has a decent memory on most things. Seems to lose that memory pretty conveniently. I think he's dug that grave at some point. Maybe when he went to the grave drunk as a teenager. He's covering something.

I had to give this a second look. He gives away a lot. First question you asked. "Where is Billy the Kid buried?" he answers and then smirks suggesting that he is hiding information. He says he doesn't really have any first hand knowledge which means he does. He's says it was based on what his father told him. He later says his father had a sense of humor, and that it was a joke with some MEAT in it. Just like he said, you might dig up Billy and you might dig up somebody else. He told Sheriff Graves, you don't know what you will find down there but we do. They may have found something in that grave.

He is so laid back he reminds me of the fair dinkum Aussie cockies (farmers) nothing seems to get their blazers up , unless your a kangaroo busting down their fence. I understand why Billy isn't on his mind much, we live close by to the air force base and we see a lot of the uniforms around town but we are so used to it its not something we constantly think about anymore. We grew used to it moving into town but it would be even less on our minds if we grew up with it.

I enjoyed Dave's openness and honesty, he understands that retrieving what might or might not be Billy's body to get the impossible 100% DNA match is a fool's errand. What percentage DNA match would be acceptable to BTK enthusiasts?

@@MankindMediaLLC Off hand, I have never heard of a way to predict genetic mutations in the natural world and that a probability prediction is impossible. I'll look around to see if anyone has published a mutation prediction equation, something like (500 tested Markers)(X Generations)((X rate of known mutations
(500 tested Markers))/100 = % probability (each person), probably not, I have only studied testing results. What percentage of probability would satisfy you Michael?

"No way of knowing what you had found"?
Not sure if Mr. Bailey is giving archaeology and modern forensics due credit. If the city of Fort Sumner, or the state of New Mexico wanted to, the Time Team could have Billy found in 3 days. You could have him identified within a month. Theyre AFRAID to, lest it turns out he's not there, and they lose some of that revenue.

Mayor sounds like he's gotta little something to hide to me. I just can't imagine he can't recall things that he did in the 1980's. I certainly can. I'm not certain if will ever know the real truth and the actual accounts of that night in July 1881. It's 50/50 chance the kid escaped. It's 50/50 he died that night. And unfortunately, there's no sufficient evidence to prove either way. For those of us who have followed Billy for the majority of our lives, I feel like we will all go to our graves without the real truth ever being known.
