I opted for print, I hate so much printing. However, I did opt to do the practice book pdf since that I needed for each individual child. I also think this is way better than fix it grammar. I struggled with fit it due to the lack of explanation. MCT explanation is amazing and makes so much sense.

That is a VERY valid point. I do sometime find me say "it's just the way it is" when we are using Fix It because I'm not confident on the explanation behind it. But we also have some resource books that really help too. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I love your highlighter idea! My son hates writing too.

Loved this review! What would you say is the difference time wise vs fix it grammar? I want to use MCT next year but realistically my kids need what is the most straight forward and efficient 😂

Fix It usually takes my older daughter around 10 minutes. MCT takes closer to 20-25 minutes for my middle daughter, but she is learning the concepts rather than practicing them. I will say MCT requires me a little bit more than Fix It if that is a factor for you. But if feel like MCT does a better job at explaining the concepts without me having to look things up if she needs help. Overall I really like both programs and don't think you can go wrong with either one.

I perfer lesson plans for complicated curriculum as we use gentle and classical and I read the guide and then work out a way to work it out!!! Curriculum is a tool!!! My kids fight writing!!! We love word study but at an older age!!!

I like having them as a guide for sure! Ugh... the writing struggle is so tough! Word study can be really fun! Thanks for sharing!
