But .

Get Ready, The Fire Has Been Lit......
I don't know why, but that last shot of the camp fire just brings back what camping is all about. A nice camp fire at the end of the day, and a chilly night, it is very relaxing. I don't know what it is but I can stare into a fire and be mesmerized for an entire evening. Whether alone with my thoughts, or with good friends just talking and telling stories around a camp fire.
There's just something about it. As humans we're drawn to it. We go back and connect with our inner cave man. Simple fire, man's greatest accomplishment, fire is what sets us apart from any other creature. Something so simple, but you can't get away from it, it just draws you in.

I really enjoy watching you vids.. I'm what folks call a thru walker and I have made some adobes in my life. I like when change up the designs. I don't give my money to many channels on here but I certainly will be buying from your outfit.. 2 years ago I had finished up a hike on the west coast and came back home..few months later I woke up in the hospital not able to move from the waste down..my whole life changed I miss hiking and nature ..I miss it so much. Good job sir..you help me feel like I'm still out there. Thank you so much

Not to many folks in the family do the hiking any more..like it's dying off.. since getting in this chair I do a lot of remembering and thinking.. my real home is in nature. I miss it so much..I've hiked almost 25k miles in my life and I still haven't finished the last leg of the AP ..but I so wish I could get my legs back..I'm willing to give that last leg everything I have left. I love talking to folks about hiking and surviving.i use to teach off-grid survival.but I guess the break's have been put on that.lol..maybe one day..could I ask where's your most beautiful view you ever hiked to

Nope... I made burgers on a cast iron griddle, cooked on a rocket stove... man, those were tasty! Oh, I also grilled bacon on that same griddle... all wood fire!

As much as I like your improvised emergency shelters, this is satisfying to watch the progression from week to week as you build out this one. I look forward to seeing the rocket stove.
I really like how you developed the site. Starting with an expedient shelter and then returning to make improvements for more comfort and extended stay. I would love to see a winter series where you develop a site to allow for a comfortable overnight in the snow. I have been curious about thermal mass heating, stone fireplace, and even seen someone build an underground trough under their sleeping area to their fire. I'm sure you could do something really creative with a heated sleeping spot. I'm excited to see how you would construct something like that.

I hope I am not the only one who got the "Commando" reference at approx. 6:19 when he put the logs on his shoulder to huck back to camp. Coincidentally, guess what I am driving these days? A full size 1995 Chevy Tahoe, which I got for a song, and it starts up like a champ and drives like a tank, it really Could do that down the mountain thing.
Since watching you I have purchased so much bushcrafting equipment and I'm ready to go. Your videos are my absolute fave! And I leave ur playlist on constantly. Plz don't stop doing what your doing.

True that! But as a Bushcraft enthusiast myself I love you’re minimal cordage and military approach some people go in there with a full £20 550 cord and trip wire a camp! Benches are something most people I watch just can’t seem to do with minimal chord or with out using staked logs I would like to see how the corporal makes his lounge area🤣👌🏻

mr kelly have you thought about building a tree house, that would proably be a lot of extra work but it would give you long term shelter, and get you off the ground and away from some of the animals that roam at night. can you make a video about building shelters in trees or way high off the ground and maybe camophage them too.these are just my thoughts as i watch your videos i watch your videos on youtube because i have a roku stick with youtube on it and i subscribe to your youtube channel but im not computer smart enough to do all that other stuff i really like your videos keep up the good work and do more videos with your little son. have a good one ms ross

U always make me get a chuckle after a long day at work I love being in the woods but I'm a single father of two so it's alot of work my daughter has cystic fibrosis so ads more to the challenge so love the vids when I can't b in the woods.
